I'm looking to add a lot of YouTube videos to my WP site, but would rather not use the YouTube embed codes.
As far as avoiding the slowdown, I'm looking for feedback fr
whats wrong with using the embed code ...ok it has to load up the yt player at page load...but that can be delayed and using a3 lazyload plugin will lazy load videos as well as images...
how are you going to use yt videos without the embed code...

HI
When you embed share from YouTube, it won't be a hindrance to your sites speed vs uploading them direct.
We have previously embedded up to six videos on a page, and there was no problem, it played great. That's using Elementor plugin.

I've upgraded to the pro version of the theme I'm using for the website, and managed to install the theme, but I can't figure out how to have the posts and pages and all previo
The posts and pages should stay the same as Jay mentioned. I too had trouble upgrading to a pro version, but that wasn't the issue. First of all, back up before making changes. Another member recommended to create a siterubix.com site and upgrade the pro version there and work out bugs and other customizations before upgrading your live site. I know it creates more work, but in the long run it will save you. I was working with sliders and other options. In the free version, it was in one place and in the paid another. It made it difficult to figure out what was going on. I also had an issue with the landing page out of mailchimp with the theme. The theme developer had to make a fix. Too much to be messing with on a live site. Not sure that that helps with the specifics of your theme, but a few tips anyway.
Your posts and pages are content that are separate from the theme and should show up regardless of how many themes you change. Just install and activate the theme and you should be set.
If they don't show up them you might want to contact the developer or their support channel. I'm not sure about the appearance customizations, but maybe someone else here can help with that. I'm thinking that you might lose those.
Yeah, I'm super familiar with changing themes and normally the pages and posts just shows up properly but with the pro version it didn't. Oh, well... I think I've moved on from it, but for future reference I'll reach out to the developer.
Thanks!
I was thinking about this and I'm wondering if you had a static home page before installing the pro version. If this is the case, then it's possible you may not see any content when you preview the home page of your website but the content would still be there. Try typing in an article url and see if any content shows up.

The time has come for me to change hosts (hopefully just for a short while) and I'd love it if someone can direct me to a step-by-step article of how to transfer from WA hostin
If you have any content at all on your website then you'll need to create a backup of the entire website (files and database) and save the backup on your computer. Then you'll need to upload the backup to your new hosting company.
I don't recommend HostGator for many reasons including their charges for SSL certificates at $50 a year for each site. I can recommend other hosting companies that provide free SSL certificates.
Check out this link marionblackonline.com/move for more detailed instructions.
If you gonna transfer your domains transfer them to Namecheap since you have domains there even if you're going to host at HG. Sooner or later you're going to realize HG is a bad host and you'll have less hassle moving. All you would need to do is change DNS at your domain registration.

A friend of mine has a popular fashion blog and has been working on it for the past 5 years.
She used to have 100,000 visitors to her blog each month. About 2 years ago
I strongly recommend that your friend needs to set up 301 redirection from her old posts and/or check the same permalinks.
Try this article: http://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-switch-from-blogger-to-wordpress-without-losing-google-rankings/

Why would someone lose traffic when switching blog hosts?

I created an email address ending with my domain name (sara@fitjewess.com) and set it up via WA to be forwarded to my gmail account and many clients are not receiving my emails
Okay, here is where you should go,
See the SiteRubix blue icon on the left menu>click on it>search for site support>click on it, and from there it gets easy,
Hope this helps
