How do I sell a website? Who buys websites? Any help appreciated.
Donald,
I may not be the best person to answer your question, however I can perhaps offer you a few pointers.
We are currently not allowed to advertise such with specificity here and therefore I have had a recent post on that issue: Wealthy Affiliate Marketplace Concept - What Do You Think? I have actually bought a website here from another WA member who posted a general list of niche sites she had and could not manage any longer. Being that her site was hosted here made it easier to transfer domain ownership.
I suggest you do a search in the Search box next to the WA logo for "website" and maybe "website sold' and see if you can get some answers on your question as to who wants to buy websites.
The other thing I suggest, I do not know what and how, you can register with Fiverr and Freelancer where some buyers may want not just content creation, etc. services but also to buy a website.
Last, but not least, you cna of course post to a cold audience on social media or seek specialty forums but be careful with any direct marketing and posting any links there. It is better to contact any interested buyers via personal E-mail behind the scenes.
Just my humble suggestions.
Blessings!
If your website earns money it can be sold on selling platforms, or if your promoting something that a company has, they might want to buy your website.
However, in both cases your site has to have some value and be getting quality traffic as well as products bought from your site. I checked my 6 month old site and it is only worth $8.90 lol
There are members here, who buy and sell sites and you can look up the topic on the search menu at the top.

Do we have to down load Gutenberg and use the classic editor plugin, or can we keep the older version of WP?
Thanks everyone for the great advise. I just updated with Classic Editor and everything seems to be good.
You need to upgrade your WP to the newest version. Always! There are security updates, etc.
And since WP 5.0 Gutenberg is the default editor, so you don't need to download or install it.
But you can install the old Classic Editor plugin if you want.
See these The Gutenberg editor - Definitive guide Gutenberg or Classic Editor? You CAN Have Both
You don't have to if you don't want to :)
A lot of people don't like it and I understand why. Yes it's easier in some ways but more difficult in others...
Personally I think it's better to upgrade your WordPress (so you're not open to glitches etc.) and then use the Classic editor plug in like you say. I know Jay the WA trainer (magistudios) does this.

I'm confused and trying to learn more. What is the difference between eCommerce and DropShipping?
Jay has recently done some training on drop shipping and E commerce.
Just go to the Live Events button on the left of your WA home screen and go to 3rd of November for E commerce and either follow through the rest of November training and or skip right to 24th November for drop shipping.
I hope that helps.
Dropshipping is a retail fulfillment method where a store doesn't keep the products it sells in stock. Instead, when a store sells a product, it purchases the item from a third party and the third party ships directly to the customer. As a result, the merchant never sees or handles the product.
Drop shipping is a form of ecommerce
Hope that helps Donald.
Hey Donald,
the easy answer would be in dropship model merchant or store owner does not need to hold the inventory but in the marketplace, it needs to be.
Hope it's useful.
Regards

Has anyone experience with Web Talk and is it legit?
There have been many such programs before this that have provided a "paid" social network. They have all failed, simply because they are schemes being masked by a social network.
People are only using them because they are trying to make money off of others within them, and they are only sharing them, because there is financial incentive to do so.
There are plenty of social networks out there with way more experience, and that are free that will be much more useful in respect to your business. If you are using this scheme to make money off of others joining the scheme, well then you are part of the scheme itself.
They have been in "beta test" phase for years. It is a great idea, but don't waste your time.
Hi Donald,
I joined back when it first came out. I heard so many negative reviews from the Community that I dropped out.
I really didn't get much experience. I really didn't want any either.
Maybe I am "gun shy" of social media.
Bill
Like many others, have joined for free but do nothing with it. Have been onto the platform a couple of times but most of the posts by people are just a pitch-fest.
Doesn't look very promising.
I signed up for it, but then started reading about its uses. And I wasn't so sure about it. But, I think this article might help: What About Webtalk
Thanks for your input. I joined for free and I think that is as far as I will go. I just read it has been in beta stage for 8 years now. Hummm..
Sadly, that was about the same as what I did. I questioned the whole beta thing, too. Haven't been back since.

What is everyone's take on CashJuice and Traffic Ad Bar?
Don't. How's that for a take?
Sites that offer free traffic have their own way of making money for it. That kind of traffic is useless and will also hurt your site because Google sees that you are willing to work with junk sites.
This is my experience of both. TrafficAdBar is a brilliant exchange, which I have used for a LOOONNGG time and at the platinum level
I get opt ins on a regular basis, for my list, I get paid by TAB as well, which are very nice commissions
CashJuice is the sister site for TrafficAdbar, its very much in its infancy, but Darren the owner, who also owns TrafficAdbar, will no doubt evolve it into a good venture, because its his business plan that has brough him success
TAB I recommend highly
CashJuice is worth joining as a free member and observing, as it doesn't officially launch until December
We tried Traffic Ad Bar and got quite a few referrals to WA. However, NONE of them went anywhere with it - nobody going Premium and hardly any of them even adding a pic or bio.
Use your time elsewhere if I were you
Hi, I tried some of those sites once and it was a total waste of time...and they bombarded me with spam emails.
Hey Donald,
Quality, unique content will drive targeted traffic to your website. Using these types if sites would be like creating a potential traffic jam which could prevent potential buyers from reaching your website. Don't think that would be a wise thing to do.
Hope you find this helpful.
I agree with you about quality content, but they do also build your list with good buyers : )
But traffic bots... which most free traffic sites offer... are not buyers not do they sign up for lists Dave.
Those are Traffic Exchange sites Donald.
Yes, literally speaking the TE sites are free traffic sources, but they are pretty useless.
Is a credit based system and everybody is clicking to earn credits without actually being interested on those offers/sites
I agree that in the main a lot of TE sites are worthless, however, I only use ones that are tested and proven to produce results for sure and they work well, when used the right way
Well I won't argue with you Dave.
Probably I haven't used them the right way.
Still, I'll remain a fan of organic traffic against of any form of exchange, incentive, etc.
Instead of clicking my fingers off to get some views on a TE site, I'd rather create a cool new post for MY REAL target audience.
But of course, it's just a personal opinion :)
Zsolt, I'm not saying I am against Organic Traffic : ) because everything starts with a Keyword Search ; 0 and so content is first
But advertiisng is the lifeblood of our business and we need to use different forms of it, including my favourite banner ads, they are set, forget and get great results
I certainly don't click my fingers off in the slightest, not a chance in heck of that, but YES used the right way, which I do, then they generate great referrals credits, commissions and residual income in a smart way
That residual income, then goes towards buying more traffic, such as Adwords and other forms of advertiisng
I do know of lots of people who, will spend HOURS ciicking!
My friend!
You don't need to explain yourself!
You have the right to disagree and to use whatever methods you can or you like, regardless of anybody's opinion.
We were exchanging ideas and opinions, nothing more :)
Oh absolutely, I got that, I was just putting more meat on the bone.
I'll agree that content is more beneficial, because with a blog you can articulate a powerful reason and benefit to attract those you want
Donald,
I have not heard of these but will check back later
would like to know if they are any good :)
Susan
