I noticed that every month my monthly subs are being requested much earlier...:(

Does it change to earlier then later? If so then it could be because of weekends, or when you first paid.

yes gets earlier each month. Do they go by our own time zones or Canada/US?

Theirs I believe.

I do annual on Black Friday.

Mine is between the 1st and the 4th no problem but looking forward to Black Friday annual discount so I pay less yearly hope they come out with that.

Mine seems to be at the same time, within a day or two.

Mine a week or two ahead...

Sorry, don't know I'm annual.

Yes, I noticed the same thing ... :-(. I thought it was just me ...

Mine come out the first of the month each month - I haven;t seen them come earlier as yet?

That might be what it is as mine should fall on 19th, but was requested today - with the red notification.

I have been on Monthly for a couple years, and it has Always “hit” between the 1st and the 3rd

wondering if everyone is now set to go out first week of month now. thanks for responding.

Contact Carson in a pm and ask why this is

Did three times before. Kyle told me that it was because I needed to unsubscribe and resubscribe the day I wanted it to be due. It made no sense to me, so I just delayed payment until my anniversary date.

I went annual so I haven't seen that yet.

If I delete a website added to a domain, can i re-use the domain for a totally new website?

Featured Comment

Think of the domain name as a physical address of a building. The website is similar to the physical building.

The physical address is where people can visit the building or business at the building. Or letters can be sent to this physical address of the business.

As such, the domain is the online version of the physical address. That is why it is called an online address or web address.

The building is the website which is built at the address. The building can be torn down and a new building built at the address. The online version of the building is your website. You can always remove the website and build a new one.

I wrote a detailed explanation of the above in a blog post - https://passiveonlinerevenue.com/what-is-an-online-business/. Check it out. Especially read the section - An Online Business Is Similar to a Brick and Mortar Business.

Hope this helps? :)

Thanks it did :)

As Timotheus said. You have paid for your domain so it remains yours as long as you make your yearly payments to keep it. You can delete your website and build a new one with that domain name anytime you want. Jim

Sweet and thanks :)

No I don't believe you can. I wanted to but couldn't.
I ended up making a new website and copying and pasting articles from old site to new site.
Also lost all website comments
Daisy

Hey Daisy,

You didn't have to copy and paste your content... nor did you have to lose your comments. :-( Please, always ask for help here first before assuming that you cannot do anything.

And... yes you can delete the entire structure of a domain and rebuild it. If you have cPanel access (not here at WA, of course), you could even remove WordPress and install another CMS (content management system).

Domain registration is like a license plate of a vehicle. You CAN more them from one to another.

I did get help here lol
Obviously not the correct help
Damn.
Thanks for giving the correct process
Much appreciated
Daisy

Sorry to learn of this Daisy. Next time, make sure you check for tutorials here... and even Google search your question if you think you SHOULD be able to something, because chances are you can.

Here's another tutorial for you:

Thank you for the advice and help
Much appreciated
Daisy

Glad I asked first then and thanks Daisy your answer and link is something else I am thinking of as well :)

Welcome

Yes. You own your own domain name. :)

Thank you :)

As many times as you want, as long as you own the domain AND have web space to re-host it.

Thank you :)

Thank you for asking this question.

I have not had to do this but it is really good to know.

All the best on your new website. YAY

Here's to making it happen

Jennifer

Thanks Jennifer it looks like we can :)

YAY.

Yes I have done it no problems just start getting over. I’ve done that a few times.

Thanks Brenda :)

Yes absolutely. If you delete the website, the domain and web space will be ready for a fresh install!

I was wondering if this would work by backing up my site and reinstall whether the site would be then unleased with the "KRAKEN" lol? Cheers Rob

Thanks Carson - phew! thought I had thrown away money, you response has made me feel better :)

As far as I know a domain and website are two different things which work together. If you delete a website you still have the domain for as long as subscription lasts for. You can build a new website and link any domain to it you choose. Even link multiple domains to one website.

Thank you :)

You sure can hun- I just did this and when you do- and post a new post, also do a new site map in google console ok :)
Go well
Vicki

Thanks Vicki yay :)

I had a suspicious spike in my Google Analytics last night that went to 169 in less than two minutes.

Upon further investigation, in audience and providers I found that

I've never heard of this before. This is very worrisome. I am sorry that this happened to you and I hope that this can be resolved soon!

Thank you and I am going to get to the bottom of this and blog so everyone can know also :)

Thank you for sharing this and I look forward to hearing how you were able to resolve this.
Jay

I will Jay, I will find out and then let everyone know how to solve it :)

Hi Snazzy, I did a search on "http://Amazon.inc.com in Ashburn", which is an individual store in Virginia. I did find them to be individual stores. I think it is a cause of concern and would suggest you following up as per suggested.
All the best,
Michael

Thanks Michael, I think I found an article that gave me the solution. I had to go and manually add them into my Google Analytics filter. I am still a little annoyed that Google does not catch this and block them. Unfortunately they are scam bots and we need to be more aware. I still need to research these Ashburn cloud folks to understand a little more, and then I will write a blog to warn others.

Yes PLEASE do Ilaisaane... and feel free to include any and all the IP addresses used. My intention for wanting their IP address is to block them from EVER website I tend.

Thank YOU for sharing this with the community so that we will all be more careful going forward.

You will be first to know :)

Never experienced this issue hopefully other members can provide feedback about this

Thanks Juan, looks like they are scam bots and I was able to filter them from my Google Analytics, but not halt them totally, I will keep researching 😃

I agree with Russ, I think you should contact Support. Good luck.

Will do Alfred, I still haven't from them since my last query so tried researching it myself. I did find out they are scam bots, and managed to filter them from my analytics reports but unable to stop their crawling my posts. Will keep digging.

Have you told site support about this problem Snazzy, maybe they can help, I don't know much about site security but I think they should know.

Russ

Site support still hasn't dealt with my previous query, so I found a way to filter them from Google Analytics, however will ask Site about stopping them from crawling my pages.

Sorry to hear that. I wish I knew how to help. I'd like to know myself, even though I haven't built my new website yet since I changed directions.

Thank you Desiree, you don't need to worry, I will get to the bottom of this and do a training to help you all.

I did a book review on a page of one of my sites and I got a mass flurry of Amazon bot traffic. It wasn't even linked to Amazon bizarrely enough.

Yes that will be them. They can do harm, when you are trying to register for Affiliate programs who check your sites, for bots.

Hi, Wow I am sorry to hear that this happened. I am unsure about this sort of thing. Except there is a spam thing in Google Analytics where you get a Search Engine hit with an Amazon keyword.

It is a fake hit. But I have never heard of this before. I would certainly do some research to see about site security. I need to do the same thing.

Much success!

You are welcome, I have a feeling this is why a few people been banned from AdSense.

Sounds suspicious. Do you see IP addresses in analytics? I’ll do some research... my traffic is weird too, I’m getting about 70 views a day on my second day being indexed. Google shows my best page was page 91. Either it’s being flaky as heck, or something weird... my domain was bought Thursday and I had my first content on Friday night/Saturday... just seems odd to me. I set up analytics on Sunday, and Monday I had 70 views. Maybe it’s just all me... lol

Thank you for replying, just go to your menu and click audience and behaviours to see what the IP providers are, to give you some peace of mind. If it is any Amazon cloud provider then you have same issue as well.
