Hi, I'm Simon and for years I sat in UK contact centres for 11 hours a day pretending to be interested in loft and cavity wall insulation and needing to ask permission before being able to nip to the loo. Today I'm a full-time Christian missionary working in Thailand.

This is possible because the training here taught me how to become financially independent. It's about more than no longer struggling from month to month; it's about the confidence that comes with taking control of your life and having the freedom to determine your own destiny.

My life's motto: "Expect great things from God, attempt great things for God."

Hi Simonin,
I can only say AMEN to that testimony. How nice to meet a sister in Yahshua (Jesus) And how great to hear that you are financially independent, congratulations!!
I just started 2 weeks ago and I don't know everything about the platform yet but I am curious for your website. I have only seen 4 websites from people I reviewed but e.g. I don't see websites mentioned when I click on someones picture. Is that not allowed to mention your own site?
Blessings for your work in Asia,

I was just told in a website feedback that I need and "Affiliate Disclosure" on my site. I see other people with them, but I didn't see anything in the training about this. Did I miss something?

If I do need it, where do I find the verbage for the page.

Also wondering about a cookies disclosure? We had to add one of these to my wife SquareSpace site back in January. What do you know about this?

Thanks as always,
SimoninAsia Premium
Hi Dave, yes every site should have an affiliate disclosure and a privacy policy. Honestly it's been so long since I've done the training I can't remember whether it's covered or not, but it should be. You can find templates for both of these under SiteContent.

You may want to double check but as far as I know, a cookies disclosure isn't necessary. Maybe because a privacy policy covers personal data stuff maybe?

I have a question about Amazon Affiliate program.

My wife is an author/speaker and has a well established online blog Bible Study site. Her site includes a "store" where people can purchase her books and a few other relates items. Most of which are directed to her Amazon Affiliate account.

If I want to use affiliate links in my "Great Dane Dog" website should I establish a separate Amazon Affiliate account?
SimoninAsia Premium
Hi Dave,

It's entirely up to you if you want to keep it separate but there's no problem at all in using the same associates account. It's not like you need to create a new affiliates account for every site you set up, even if you had 20 affiliate sites, you'd only need one account.

The thing you might want to look into is the Amazon One Link to make sure you get paid from every country.

Hope this helps :)

It's great to read your profile and learn your success Simon.

I was prompted to post this message because I thought we are on the same goal in life - to fully serve God with our very best.

I've been here in WA for two years but not yet reach success. Due to my present full time job, it is very challenging to find time to be consistent and continue to write articles.

I hope one day to quit my job and do things that I cherish.

Thanks for sharing your story. It is really worth to read and keeps me moving.
I can not send you a site link because I'm not a premium member yet. So I sent you the "About Me" post

Hi everyone and welcome to my Baby Gyms & Playmats website. Since I became a parent six years ago I wanted to allow my daughter in the first months of her life to smoothly develop all the motor skills through play and fun. I still keep to her first baby gym that reminds me of the first months of parenting but also of the gratitude that I could do housework and feel safe for my child. Over the years, I have gained the knowledge and experience of helping you choose the best way for sensational development of your baby.
My Little Story
Even as a kid I loved to help mom and grandmother about keeping the neighbors' children safe. As time passed, I noticed that today's parents are important that their children are safe while doing housework.
I myself became a parent so that all I learned through the years I could apply. Naturally, parenting is a wonderful experience and no matter what I knew before I had to learn much more ... and I still learn.
I remember when we got the first baby gym for our baby. And then my research started, which is the best way to be filled with playing and the development of motor skills for the first few months of the baby.
Parenting Today
In today's time in front of parents there are many challenges. Caring for the baby is not just about sleeping, eating, changing diapers, etc.
Babies need to provide and make sure that her motor skills and sensory development are developed through fun and play. Because the fun and the game are best learned.
My personal motto is "For baby just the best". That's why in this place you can find really the best solution to what a baby gym or playmate take for your baby.
My Goal

First and foremost, the goal I set on this website is that parents can find a product that would enable their baby to have a safe and fun development of the motor properties.
If someone has a question about the product or wants a hint about choosing the best solution I would be more than happy to help.SashaFounder of Baby Gyms & Playmats

Thanks for your support :)
Today I'm on lesson 8
I want to understand everything so I do not rush ....
SimoninAsia Premium
Hey you're welcome, anytime :)

That's the best way to do it, too many people rush through without fully understanding some of the most important aspects to building a business so you're doing the right thing.

Knowledge is power and when you're learning new skills and ideas I always think of it like you're building a wall. If you skip you missing a brick and do that too often and you can never build anything.

I'm glad you're loving the training as much as I did, just think - you've learned so much already in such a short space of time.

Just think, if you made this much progress in 1 week, how much can you achieve in 1 month form now, 3 months from now or 1 year from now? The best is yet to come! :)
Thank you for the motivational post :)

Beautiful comparison of knowledge and skills with the wall. That was the truth. With small but safe steps, a man should move forward.

I believe that this should be the case in everyday life. The world has become faster and without grounding in knowledge and skills I think we can not keep up with all the challenges that come up.

I look forward to new knowledge with each lesson and when I succeed it means applying happiness is even bigger :)

Hi Simon,
Thank you for the response, you are very helpful.
My niche is skin care (health and beauty). I'm dark-skinned, so potentially a tilt in that direction. I'm looking at products that promote the health and rejuvenation of the skin and its appendages as well as make up.
Can you share any ideas about affiliate programmes in this niche?
SimoninAsia Premium
I think that's a great niche idea with real potential. I think you'll realy find these two articles from a fellow WA member helpful:

Most people automatically sign up to Amazon, and you absolutely can, therey've got the widest range of products, but don't rule out lesser-known programs with higher commission rates.

There's so much fun you can have in this niche... maybe a thriving YouTube channel with make-up tutorials. I think you've picked a great target audience and there's no reason you can't totally dominate this niche!

Hey there,

Just wanted to say Hi and thanks again for adding me to your network.

I'm an Ambassador because I pay it forward, add value to the community with WA blogs and training, and I send new WA members consistently with my online ad campaigns.

One of the many ways I like to pay it forward here in the community is with a free video website audit to help you get the most out of the WA training.

I do it because I see a lot of people struggling to get true financial freedom, and sometimes knowing what you don't know, helps you, so if you ever want any help or free advice enhancing your website hosted on Wealthy Affiliate, I'd be happy to do an audit by video.

I do this 100% without ANY promotion of my external services because I love Wealthy Affiliate and it's my way of giving back.

No pressure. It's an open-ended offer, whenever you need it. Always happy to help you win here!

Simon, your profile is encouraging. I recently was downsized from a company that I had invested 25 years in. I have no hard feelings as I've been praying for a good while for God to show me what he wanted me to do. I felt I was not in my calling, but never would quit because I made good money and was the sole breadwinner in my family. As a fellow Christian, I love serving on missions and with my local church. I started studying biblical counseling earlier this year (before my job loss). I'll be praying for you as you are being Jesus to those in Thailand.
SimoninAsia Premium
Thank you so much fr your encouragement and for your heart for missions! It's not always easy that's for sure but always worth it. I can only do the missions work I'm doing right now because of the monthly income I get from my websites.

Wow that's not easy when you've been working for the same company for so many year but I love your perspective. It's a great opportunity to find something you can really get excited about.

It does take a few months before you start to see a replacement full-time income from this,. just because it takes time to fill out your niche site with content and for Google to start trusting your site and give you some decent rankings. 40 hours a week is a great chunk of time to get through the training and build your site out though.

Please feel free to message/contact me anytime, I really want to see you succeedใ

In any case, I'm very happy that you can do that and I wish you continued success.

Hi thanks for your advice. I noticed your sight is about growing the church, that is amazing. My question to you is how I could do something relatived. I would love my sight to be a place where I can blog about being a homeschool mom, and talk about Jesus. But I don't see how I can make money like that. Don't I have to focus on a product. Sorry so long. Any advice appreciated!
SimoninAsia Premium
Christian homeschooling could be very interesting.... and it's specific and broad enough to be a good niche. You could build an authority site on this topic and have lots to talk about:

From the top of my head:

- how to homeschool
-lesson tips and ideas
-things related to admin/regulatory side of homeschooling
-reasons you chose to homeschool (Christian aspect)
- benefits of homeschooling
-free printables, lesson ideas etc.

If I were you I would grab a pen and paper and try searching for "homeschooling blogs" for ideas and "homeschooling affiliate programs" or "christian homeschooling affiliate programs" for some great ideas.

I'm sure you'll soon see the possibilities to build an online business around this topic alone is huge!

Working from home/homeschooling moms is popular, so narrowing it down a little to Christian bloggers could be good too.

Hope this helps : )
Huge help thank you!

Hello Simon -you're a guy I'd like to be like and follow! You've done this already -you've moved from being DEPENDENT ON to being INDEPENDENT OF - you have an independent income and you have moved continents and experiencing new challenges.
I live in South Africa and strangly want to move to Bingley in West Yorkshire -commuting every few months back to Duran where I live at the moment.

I too share a similar 'world view'and would like to make a difference in what I do -spreading the GOOD NEWS.

Could you share a little with me as to how long it took for you to go from ZERO TO HERO ? I'm new to WA and have no idea as to time lines.
Thanx Don
SimoninAsia Premium
Hi Don, nice to meet you, I know Bingley well : )

It takes work and time Don, that's for sure. It took me 12 months to replace my full-time income and I worked at it night and day (120 posts all 2-3000 words long) for my first site.

9 months ago I started a bootcamp site too and it's going well so far. I set up a second site because though I was getting $3000+ a month from first site I didn't want to just rely on one income source or one affiliate program.

My dream is to eventually invest into property and own a buy to let property portfolio, In the UK, Thailand or both.

It's amazing, I knew this was God's way of providing for me. Little did I know, 12 months after I came out here to serve as a missionary my home base church in Leeds closed. If it wasn't for my websites I would have had to go back home for lack of support. Praise God because He knows all and knows exactly what we need before we do!

Hope this helps : )

Thank you Simon for your input. That's an amazing experience and requires a LOT of faith - REAL faith!!
Am I to understand that you make you're money from helping people learn about blogging using the WA platform - it's very good.
YOu would then make residual income from the revshare commission from their PREMIUM membership commissions.
To me that's what I was going to do with my 57000 FB members. If I manage to engage with just 1% of these I'm OK!
500 x US$23.50 - is enough to live on!! And more than enough to support some of the work that needs to be done 'in the Kingdom'
What do you think?
There is good money to be made from encouraging people to sign up for PREMIUM membership - if I have the numbers.
SimoninAsia Premium
Yes absolutely, if you're already an influencer with an audience and WA is relevant to what you know that group is interested in so its a good fit - go for it!

My 2nd site is WA/how to build a blogging business yes. The reason I love WA is its interactive and I think once people start the training they'll love it.

Plus with the community, after the first couple of days the support I need to give is minimal - the community jumps in and makes my job of having to coach each aspiring blogger a whole lot easier.

Simon, nice to hear from you. Now I must admit that I am not religious. But I do love helping people. I did have a quick look at your website and it looks full of information for people like minded with you.

I was almost born in Thailand (Siam) as my father was a mining engineer and had been offered a job there. He decided instead to work in Ghana. Then mum stayed in England until I was born and then sailed on down there. Apparently the hospital system was better in Ghana but who knows how good that was at that time (ages ago).

So now you live in Thailand we are almost neighbours.

Happy journeying here and do keep in touch.

HI Helen, it's nice to meet you! So you were in BC for a time too? The missions organisation I'm working for here has lots of Albertians (is that what you call them?) mainly from Calgary/Edmonton/Lethbridge area.

Now you're in Tasmania? Sounds like you've had a globe-trotting life!

The hospitals and dentists are now very good in Thailand and lots of Brits come here to get work done on the cheap :)

It's lovely to meet you! We've both been here since 2014 - how have we not crossed paths before?!
HelenpDoyle Premium
We call Albertans very bad drivers! Lots of Aussies get there teeth done there. They swear by Thai dentists and I am sure they must be better than some of the other country's dentists in the region. And I think the region is far to big for casual crossed paths! Thailand is one of the Asian countries I wouldn't mind visiting at some time.
