Hello WA'ers,
Although WA personal works remotely and WA doesn't have an office, there should be a physical address of the company to send old fashioned mail to.
This is what I got for you: 2354 Millstream Rd Box 18 Victoria, BC V9B 6L2.
WA = Niche Marketing Inc.

Hello WA'ers,
All images on my websites (pictures and adverts) are invisible all of a sudden. The links still work, so clicking on a blank spot does redirect you.
Thanks, I will try that today. Apparently others (outside of my house) can still see the images, so it must be something on my end.
Well, it took me some time to try it, because, well, life...
But unfortunately it didn't help. And I noticed that others see the images when first opening the site, but refreshing it makes them all vanish. So, I'll be getting back to Site Support.
Thanks for checking in, John. I appreciate that :-)
Any new plugin recently? Those things can ruin our businesses, they are so unreliable and we depend on them.
I know that this can be due to slow internet connection, but in such a case alt-tags should appear. As I understand this is not so in your case. So this is for Support.
But before that, flush dns and also make your search history empty at least in the past a few weeks. After that check the site incognito and if possible from a different computer and server.
Thanks for all your tips.
No new plugins recently, but plenty of updates. They weren’t conflicting in the past, but I don’t know if updates cause conflicts too.
Internet’s working fine and fast as always. Yay!
I’ll try the cache clearing. And I can try from a windows computer. But it looks like I’ll need to put in a ticket to Site Support.
I had an update with Supsystic plugin recently and due to this cannot clone the existing tables any longer, and have them in hundreds. Can make new tables and clone them, but this is only for those created after the update. In yet another case, some other plugin could not work after the update because it needed a higher php version which we do not have at this hosting. So yes, updates can be terrible.
Hahaha, yes of course it would. That’s logical. But I meant: even if I removed one image, it shouldn’t have this effect on the entire website by making all of them invisible. And they couln’t keep coming back when I log in the Wordpress back office if I would have removed them all, which they do.
Hi Loes, thanks for checking in on me.
Yes I have. They said all my images were visible to them, so it's a relief other people see my website well. They advised me to "Please clear your browser, local DNS cache and then give it a try".
I just need to find instructions to clear local DNS cache for Safari/Apple, get it done and see what happens. I'll make time for that later today. Eerst boodschappen doen :-)

Hello fellow WA'ers,
Is there a way to add an end date to your posts? I know we can add a publishing date, but I haven't been able to find a way to add an expiration dat
Hi Bianca
I have used this plugin on one of my sites and it was a good fit for what I wanted.
Obviously I don't know if it will suit you but have a looksee.
https://wordpress.org/plugins/post-expiration-date/
Enjoy your Tuesday.
Robert-A
Thanks Robert-A, I didn’t really want another plugin, but I’ve downloaded it anyway. Looks good! It seems to be exactly what I need 👍🏼
Bianca if its what you need then use it.
I have about 15 plugins for my site and I never have any problems with them.
If your site has been optimized the right way neither will you.
Now I'm off for the night as its getting late.
Robert
Thanks Robert_A,
I hope you had a good night :-)
Side speed is the problem though. My site is slowing down, al lot. Maybe I should change my theme, because I know I need the plugins I have (about 12 now). Makes me wonder if my current theme isn't coded well enough to handle the amount of photo's on my home page. Ah well, choices choices choices :-)
There is yet another plugin that helps with site speed.
I can look it up for you if you want.
Robert
Here you go -
https://wordpress.org/plugins/speed-booster-pack/
No harm in giving it a test run Bianca.
Robert
there is a plugin for everything Bianca, i am not sure if retiring posts is a new function of WPs Gutenberg, but i did a quick google search of this "retire posts plugin" and found a copule of plugins.
I'd a little research and see if those work for you!
Thank you! I was hoping to do without an extra plugin. But if that's what it takes, I'll have to look into it.

Hello helpers,
I already owned a few domains that I haven't used so far. To continue my training here on WA and to build my website on here, I'd like to use one of my ex
You need to get the transfer code from the other domain provider Bianca. If you type "how to transfer domain" in the search bar up top you will see different training for Godaddy, Namecheap, etc. I believe they all require a transfer code of some sort and the process needs to be done on the other provider's end. Find this info out and we can go from there Bianca.
OK, there is a difference between moving a site, and transferring a domain. If you have sites outside of WA you wish to bring here, they must be Wordpress sites.
If you have domains registered without a site, you only need to update the DNS to point those domain names here to continue.
If you have non-WP sites, you would need to recreate them here as Wordpress sites.
Thanks. It's only a domain, not a site. So I thought it might be pretty straight forward. But I haven't been able to find where I can change my siterubix into a .com yet.
OK, first, you must update the DNS at your registrar to point to WA Hosting - ns1.mywahosting.com and ns2.mywahosting.com
Then, once that is complete, you'll be able to use the 'move' button.
My silly computer doesn't want to open your links. Always reminds me of a scene in Little Britain: "computer says no" (lol). But I logged in to my domain account and see that there are redirect options there.
Lol, I'm such a noob. I see now that these are not links. Ah well, my 48 year old brain will finally get around to it, some day :-)
To save your data
Go to your wordpress dashboard >tools > export
Make choice of what you want to export and where to save it.
Now you can go to the site of your choice
Go to your wordpress dashboard >tools > import
Be carefull with duplicate content, and all kind of other errors like 404(not found).
Once you have uploaded all your data, you can redirect your old site to the new one... in doing so, no,errors
You can also ask site support to transfer your old domains here
And / or if they have better sugegstions...

Hello everyone,
Are there people out here that don't use a website of their own to sell affiliate goods, but use Pinterest instead to link to their affiliate partners? I'm
Once you have your site you can then add it to Pinterest with different posts Bianca. From there they can go to your site, which is a goal that you want to achieve anyways. I know the idea of maintaining a site sounds a bit scary but it's really not. Once you own one, you are going to see the real value and that sense of pride that it is actually yours. There is also no real maintenance besides adding content that will rank in the search engines, that will result in you getting paid, which I'm sure we don't have a problem with (lol).
Thanks for the peptalk. You're very right about us not having a problem getting paid :-)
In the end it'll all be fine. It's a steep learning curve for me (getting the hang of things is a lot easier in your 20's, lol), but it's fun to do. And rewarding to pick up new skills.
Getting my content in order will be tricky for me, because of the language. In Dutch it would come natural to me, being a reporter by trade. But that's a tiny market in a small country. That's why I want to try my luck in English. But not being a native speaker makes writing in English difficult. And less creative than in Dutch. But ah well: fingers crossed.
I'm going to give it my best. I'll build a website with the help of the trainings and this community. And I'm sure little by little I'll get this old brain to learn all this new stuff :-)
Pretty much all affiliate programs request your website for approval so makes it kinda hard to do it without a website.
Thanks for your swift reply! I heard some people get by without a website. But maybe there aren't many affiliate programs for that. I guess I better just bite the bullet then and start building :-)
