I think you have covered the essentials in that you ask permission from the owner of the website you want to link to. I would like to link to another site and you have prompted me to get on with it and ask the owner's permission, so thanks for this blog. Wendy.
You can use any of mine that you want. I know I have at least one that will work for ya. :) I have actually thought of doing something like this with my network site.
Yes you sure can! I have done so, but have asked permission first. You do not need that though.
Thank you,
Adam

I guess I would have to say if it is ok with the other site owners I would. Do you think this would bring traffic to there sites? How does this help your site and do you have other link options to choose from? Food for thought.

I would think it would be like any news page, they are made up of other people's page links!

Are there any advantages or disadvantages of posting a free image(s) that require an attribution, or acknowledgement?
I'm all for royalty free, public domain and other free
Wayne, All of the images I use are 100% Free. As long as they have a CC0 (Creative Commons Zero) license and/or no watermark, they are 100% Free to use with No Attribution Needed.
I did training (see link below) on this exact topic a month ago and I provided 12 of my favorite links to Free CC0 Image Directories that I use. I even show you how to find CC0 images on Google. Free Images for a Website - Free to Use, No Attribution
I use Freedigitialphotos and have no problems. Just simply add the acknowledgement in the text.
Thank you for your comment Roland. Yes, I use FDP too- its quite a valuable image resource for my websites.
I don't mind attributions under my images at all.
You can look at my site how I handle the attributions.
myarcherycorner.com
Doesn't stand out that much, I think.
Thank you for your comments Moritz. You have create image content and the attributions, like you mentioned, does not stand out at all. I have bookmarked your page and plan to comment on your posts when time permits.
By the way, great & cool photo in your WA profile page. I reside on the island of Oahu in Hawaii, Aloha my friend!
Thank you.
I will have a look at your site from time to time, too.
Aloha. ;)
This picture is from a vacation. Loved it there.
I live in Taiwan at the moment, which is nice, too. :)
I have no problem with people using free images. I see this from the other side. As a photographer it bothers me that some photographers allow their images to be used for free. You don't see mechanics working for free. If your work is any good put a value on it, don't give it away.
Thank you James for your comment and appreciate your thoughts. I can see your point of view of a photographer's value of their work.
Would the images on these free image sites show just a small glimpse of the photographer's basic work? And an opportunity to view more of that photographer's more expansive work- maybe higher resolution, better vivid background images, etc.
Again James, thank you for your valued input!
Many photographers are just happy to see their images being used.
The problem with free images is that many (not all) are taken by amature photographers. Many of whom are very capable photographers, but it does drive the overall price down. This makes it difficult for professional photographers to get a fair price for their work.
Like anything it's about supply and demand. But when the supply is FREE, How do you compete?
Hi I have always used paid images because I can always get what I want in seconds. fotolia.com
Hi there,
free images are a good start and besides some paid images I mostly use the free images from FreeDigitalPhotos. net as they have a huge collection, especially for the make money online niche.
Giving attribution doesn't bother me as long as the website I get them from is legit and FDP is one of them. Been using them ever since I started my website and I add an attribution directly into the image and never had an issue with their licensing or got an email sent that I use them in an appropriate way.
Nicole
Thank you Nicole for your comments. I also use FreeDigitalPhotos dot net and find that acknowledgements are okay with me.
My concern is that I feel there will be a segment of visitors that come to my site and see all these attributions with each uploaded image and they may think "Hmm, does this guy have any original image content?"
I think I'm just "thinkin' thinking". ;)
Nah, I wouldn't worry about them. Fact is that you can not please every single person surfing the web and when you look at other websites, I see quite a few with images and an attribution to it. :)
So I have to agree with you and say that you're just thinking...LoL. Keep doing what you're doing and use as many free images as you want. There's nothing wrong with it and looking at the ones from Free Digital Photos. At least they are of quality and if you're using images relevant to your website/article, that's all what counts.

How can I verify my website with Pinterest?
Are there advantages of being "Pinterest verified?"
If you are Pinterest verified, could you please share with me your ex
Has anyone noticed increased followers by having a verified status? Does it give validity in the sense of boost of followers?
I am still pretty green with Pinterest think I am at about 2-3k followers. I have not seen much in terms of a traffic gain at this point (Only working on it for 2 weeks). I have heard it is one of the better sources for traffic if you get your followers up though, work on gaining followers a few times a day, add people from your Niche interest.
Example if your Niche is stopping smoking (find people with How to stop smoking boards) and then add their friends and them too. This is a good way to get focused traffic from what people are already liking. Hope this helps some :)
There are some good youtube videos on the above-mentioned tactic too. Jusst like all social media, you need an audience of sorts....
you can find a Pinterest field in the All In One SEO, just past the code provided by pinterest there, it is like verifying Google Webmaster tools
pinterest will give you a meta tag code, (it is just one line of HTML code) copy it all and past it in All in One SEO field, then click verify on pinterest
There is a place in all in one seo that makes it simple to verify. Just place the code only in that spot and you should be good to go.
Thank you Damon. You mentioned place the code only. The number letter series only, and not the rest of the html link?
Hi. You have to verify before Pinterest will accept you and if you have followed the instructions you're given then there should not be a problem.
Go through the procedure again coz perhaps you have missed one small detail out.
Robert

If so, what are your successes? Any shortfalls? All input is greatly appreciated. Thank you!
I posted my blog regarding my... My first scheduled social media campaign for this coming week Please share with me your comments, ideas, questions or concerns. Thank you fellow WA members!

I use hootsuite to schedule my posts for business at predetermined times throughout the day. I'm able to manage Facebook, Twitter and other social media sites- all in one centralized app. I want to integrate WA into my daily hootsuite tasks.
Yes i am, its actually one of the methods i use in my blog. You should check it out if you have the time.
I use it to submit my blog posts to Google+ but I find the platform confusing. On the free version they limit how many streams you can have. I use twitterfeed to submit my blog posts to facebook and twitter, it works flawlessly, and it don't cost anything.
