I've installed Google Analytics tracking code with All-in-one SEO as instructed by Kyle, but when checking , it still says The tracking code is not installed. I checked again. N
Sometimes you have to re-verify that you are the site owner. Capture the tracking code and paste in Seo again and update. Then go back to google and verify. This should do it.
Thank you so much Rob. Why does google make it so complicated? OK, I'' do that if nothing ealse works.
The GA code is in your source source. I can see the ID of "UA-58161154-2". Check this against your GA entry to see if these match. If so then your code is setup correctly.
If you go to ADMIN>TRACKING INFO
the top line will tell you the status of your GA entry.
Normal is "Receiving data".
Hope this helps.
Steve.

I had the same issue about typing verfication code at the Google Verification and Connect Google Analytics, it says tracking code not installed. Try move on and submit sitemap. After all, the verfication code should be pasted to in between <head and /head> of header in the appearance editor like verifiying the bing webmaster tools. Then should be fine.

Hi Angela,
it takes a while for Google to register the code on your site maybe that's the problem, or sometimes on certain themes WP has some sort of script problem which affects the 'html code'.
You should look in the text editor (not the visual) at the place where you put the code and see if there is anything different than what you copied.
Hope this helps.
Melvin.
That the code will not be seen in the WP text editor. If you add it manually, you need to click on
Dashboard>Editor
Then find the header.php file on the right side and open this up. Be sure you back up your site before, just in case.

I don't remember the password set for new user to my WP, but need it to login now. Thank you:).
go to your site manager and try to login. When it denies and asks the question "forgot password?"click it and wait for the email. When you get the email go back to the site manager and click on "details" which is on the left of the delete button. At the top where it shows access details, copy the original password given for your admin and use that for your password. Then go back to site manager and click the login button and that should get you right in let me know if that works
Thank you Tommy:). I'll do that. I should have written it done when creating it 10 days ago. On my way.
Hi Tommy, I did what recreated a new user with a new pw, but when I logged out as Admin, then tried to log back in with new user name and pw, I couldn't. Here's what I got on screen.
----Authorization Required
This server could not verify that you are authorized to access the document requested. Either you supplied the wrong credentials (e.g., bad password), or your browser doesn't understand how to supply the credentials required.
--------
Now what can I do? Please advise, thank you:).
Go to uour address bar at the end of your URL get rid of admin login and type in /login and hit your enter key on keyboard
