I've used AWeber, GetResponse and MailChimp in the past but switched to ActiveCampaign years ago and so am no longer familiar with the current facilities offer by the others.
Yep, it can - just create a tag for subscribers that reply and target the tag with an automation rule in your campaign :)
So you can create a rule in AWeber that says if a subscriber replies to a nominated email, add a specified tag to their details? Sorry, I'm just trying to get this clear.
You would have to integrate AWeber with your email client & have it tag the subscriber when they respond. Emails sent to your address go directly to it, they don’t go through AWeber (or any other email autoresponder) so the tagging needs to be done on the email client side.
Opens, clicks, etc, however, can all be tracked without email client integration.
OK, thanks. That clarifies it.
ActiveCampaign detects that a nominated email in an automation has been replied to and allows an automatic, immediate response. No integration with your email client is required.
I was fairly sure that was a unique facility.
That’s because they change the from email address so your replies technically go via them first. Not very private 😳

Phil, good article, no I have not had any problems with AMP. Thanks for sharing and have a great Sunday.

Hi Phil. I've read a number of times that AMP is losing relevance and is no longer necessary in 2023 and beyond due to the development of Google's Core Web Vitals. Here's one (of many) articles if you are interested.
https://www.18thdigitech.com/blog/is-google-amp-still-a-thing-in-2023/#:~:text=The short answer is No,have it in mobile searches.
I don't have a solution to your questions, sorry for that, but I did want to mention that even though your demographic is 'older', even the older generation uses the cellphone a lot these days. My parents do everything with their phones haha! And they even want the best, like expensive i-phones, and they got a tablet which I don't even use. Don't underestimate them lol :-)
Good point, Lizzy and I'll bear it in mind.
I just checked the traffic stats on one of my websites and it showed 95% desktop, 5% mobile (and 0% tablet).
I have my AMP on. I fixed my mobile speed issues. I need to have my mobile speed, but it's extreme. You can disable it since it offers no benefit to you. Try it and see what happens. You never know the results until you disable it. See if that will help with faster indexing.
Rank Math, the AMP plugin is included with it. Short Pixel for image compression with Auto-Optimize plugin for mobile and javascript speed issues for mobile.
Thanks, Brenda. I'll have a look at Rank Math. It could be that the plugin I'm using is generating invalid AMP pages.
I've installed Rank Math now. It doesn't itself generate AMP pages but connects with a recommended AMP plugin, which I've also installed. I'll add a blog post to the site and see what happens. Thanks for your help.
I have the Rank Math Pro so the AMP Plugin is already turned on but the blue AMP by WordPress is not compatible with GP Premium so I had to sign up for Rank Math Pro account. Are you using GP or a different theme?
I installed the free version of Rank Math and it recommended a specific AMP plugin, which I also installed. I've since written a new blog post and submitted it to GSC.
I use Thrive Theme Builder on all of my sites. It allows me to control all aspects of the theme and to apply different templates to the home page, blog roll, single blog pages and so on.
Ok, so with Thrive theme it will work but not with GP so that explains why you can use the other AMP WP version which works with Rank Math free version. Let's hope it works. fingers and toes crossed!
Good to know, Rudy. We'll see if it solves the AMP issue for me. If it doesn't, then the plugin wasn't the problem. It's not that important. I'm happy with the option of just not generating the AMP version of posts and pages.
I just checked and the new post I created a little while ago has now been indexed, along with its AMP equivalent.
See the attached image.
Thanks for putting me onto Rank Math, Brenda.

I haven't used FB ads for a long time and much has changed. And as is normal for Facebook, changes are generally in the direction of making this fairly awful platform even more
My last experience has turned my sour on using Facebook ads. I ended up with a subscription to Meta something or another that charged my card over $100 in less than a month for a subscription that I never signed up for. All I did was run 2 ads and went through the same process I did years ago and didn't have that issue.
Luckily I was able to get the charges reversed. But still getting a ghost charge from placing ads makes me cautious of ever placing another, that's for sure.
And it brought crapy site visits as well, people that only clicked on my site for a second then left. So in all it was not worth it for me. You may have a better experience than me. That was my 2nd. The first went well enough, it was so long ago I forget all the details surrounding it.
Stacie
Well.........of course I can. None of us can take the money with us when we go to the Great Beyond, Phil! I will agree with you though!
Jeff
Hey Phil,
How weird's that?
I actually watched the following video from Adam Erhart this morning, in which he discusses how Facebook ad campaigns are very different in 2023.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xUfuntUdC8U&vl=en
Right, I don't want to speak to you or any other Aussies for the next 6-10 hours... I'm TOOOOOO Nervous... Bring on the Ashes!!! Hahahahahahaha!!
Partha
I'll watch the video, thanks Partha. What a mess Facebook is. Zuckerberg produced a crap piece of software (specced by someone else) that people didn't know they wanted until they saw it. If anyone else had realised the potential earlier, they might have produced something worthwhile. Talk about being in the right place at the right time. Bear in mind that Zuck built his reputation by hacking into the girl student's database and provided a portal where guys could give them hotness scores. If he'd done that today, he'd be right up there with Harvey Weinstein.
I think we need another 174 to win. Whether we make it or not, all credit to the Poms for embracing an exciting version of the game. Great players all round, from Broad to Khawaja.
Hey Phil, well Zuckerberg probably works for the CIA. After all, what better place to group almost everyone on the planet and monitor them?
Zuck was funded by Darpa to create Facebook which is why it so quickly replaced Toms MySpace. He was put in the right place right time by U.S. intelligence and funding.
I wasn't going to comment as like most of the commenters I don't have an answer, but felt i had something useful to contribute on the above :)
I hope the video Partha shared is of help.
Regards,
Jason

Being in Australia, I normally get 20 or 30 WA emails overnight, mainly from comments on my WA blog posts or training but last night (it's Saturday morning here) nothing. This
Hi - yes, it's been like that for a few days now.
Despite the fact that I follow over 15,000 members, I have only received 3 or 4 overnight UK times.
And actually, my latest blog post, despite being number one in the top 10 a couple of days ago, only received one comment overnight at the time.
So, I assume people weren't being notified that I had published a post.
I had that happen a few times and for some reason when I went into my personal file email was turned off???🤔
So I turned it on and it was ok after that.
Hey Phil, also in Aus and I’ve just noticed I’ve gotten less overnight than I usually would too, I have gotten 4 in total BUT i am not as active as you are in the sense of training and posting. Seems the emails I have received are the blogs posted to WA but it seems the responses to comments I’ve posted have not have notified me via email so may be a server issue?
I've just checked my latest WA blog and it's received several comments that I haven't been advised by email, so it would appear to be a WA issue.

Mine literally just started doing this and ow my this is getting annoying now. It is even more annoying when I try to answer questions and I get notifications saying "GREAT NEWS KEVIN AND SON JUST RESPONDED TO YOUR QUESTION". I am like I know I just answered someone elses question on MY OWN thread.
Kevin and Son
That's great, Phil, because after you mentioned it, I noticed a lot of that through the entire morning!
Jeff
Well, I got one email for each of your two comments above and none for my response, which is exactly as it should be.
I follow up on a totally different principle I have not noticed.
I don't use either my email inbox or bell notifications.
I haven't gotten that problem yet. But, what has shown up is that all of my previously read "Notifications" are showing up as unread and I am having to mark them as read again and again. ???
JD
I posted a WA blog earlier today and had a few comments that showed up in an email despite the fact that I replied to the comment on the WA site. As well, several blog posts that I commented on did show up in my email as if I had not commented. I am interested in what is said about this. It's not a big deal, but definitely different.
