About Drjec
Joined July 2016
I am a retired clergyman with 25 years of service in northern Canada and 20 years serving as an executive with companies providing services for developmentally disabled individuals.
My wife and I have 6 kids... 5 boys and a girl. We have 3 grandsons and a granddaughter.
I enjoy hunting as well as reading and cooking. I have written a book about people in the north called One Man's Mile which is on my website.
WA is exciting for me because I am learning new skills and applying them to my own business. Having my own business is exciting, because I can set my hours and write about something I know and love....... fishing.

Hi! I have half done in creating my website. I have gone through the lesson CUSTOMER PURCHASING LIFECYCLE. My niche is baby dresses. rjdresses.com is my website. I am just writing the content with "some facts (along with keywords) and adding attractive pictures". Now, after this lesson I am hung up here.
You said: Brandable domain name is to be selected. I was unable to get that, when I heard about that. Now I got it with a KYLE's example...
Assuming my niche as golf club or golf.
Many people come to my website. Because the keyword golf or golf club is too broad. People generally search for those words and those words can't increase our sales.
If we use our niche as "Taylor Made r5 Driver" people who come to my website are in search of only Taylor Made r5 Driver. It's definitely slanted to a very narrow niche. People coming to my website"Taylor Made r5 Driver" are directly in DECISION PHASE. So my sale increases.
Am I right?

My Question: My Niche: Baby dresses
My website: rjdresses.com
I have created 5 pages, namely: NEWBORN
BABY BOY CLOTHES
BABY GIRL CLOTHES
SHOES
REVIEW (No content written)
These are my good target keywords. Now if I need to select a particular brand of dresses or accessories, what I need to do?
I would like to choose niche, like:
Searches Competition
Unique baby blankets 231 92
Personalized baby blankets 3741 200
Nike baby shoes 326 58
Reiker shoes for women 5195 54

PLEASE HELP ME!!! WHAT I NEED TO DO NOW?
PLEASE HELP ME TO TRAVEL IN THIS ENTREPRENEUR JOURNEY.

You said: Review keywords have very little competition and they make you high sales.
I already had a page named "REVIEW". What I need to do further in this REVIEW concept?

PLEASE HELP ME!
Reply
drjec Premium
Review pages generally look at one product or product line, you could review one company that makes children's dresses. You don't need to compare it to anything, just review it in terms of maybe price, quality, design, functionality etc. Then, add an affiliate link so people can go to that manufacturer if you recommend it.
I like the way you break down the content. You could add pictures for each different page of your content and link them to the affiliate which sells them, I have done that with my fishing stuff. Take a look: fishingluremart.com

Interesting profile you got. Happy to meet u online. Wishing u more success and will read up your training. Like my brother in law, he will be fishing more in a few years time when he retire after some 30 plus years in a Jap company and climb his way up to be among the top executives , by no means a easy feat for a foreigner . Hi Mr.Drjec ! Please help me in choosing domain name. Choosing a domain name is more important. Now,my niche is "baby dresses". My current free site name is babydresses.siterubix.com. There are many keywords for the niche "baby dresses". I think "clothes for baby" is a good keyword and i can use it as a domain name... But for this keyword "Clothes for baby" the QSR (competition) is more than 200. Is it Okay ? Or i need to another keyword for the domain name?
Reply
drjec Premium
The advice is not to use a word over 200 so that is at the top - take into consideration the searches - if there are a huge numbers of searches 200 would be okay. Are you focusing only on dresses or baby clothing articles. How about "babyclothes" "dressyour baby"
Reply
YOGANATHAN Premium
No Mr.Drjec. I won't choose the word which have more than 200QSR. I am focusing on baby dresses.
just before 6 hours i created my initial content creation. Google Index is still showing NO. What I need to do to get approved from google?
Reply

It can take up to a week to be indexed by google so be patient. Good work on choosing a name.

Looking for some advice! I can either start Course 2 of the Certification courses or start the Affiliate Bootcamp. I do not want to be doing both of them at the same time as I am afraid I will be on information overload. Which direction would you advise me to take at this point?
Reply
drjec Premium
That's a tough question. If you finish the certification courses, you will have a real base for your niche website and an understanding of content development, market, etc. However, lots of people think that the affiliate site will help you to earn $ faster than the niche site. My suggestion is that, unless you really have a compelling reason to jump to the affiliate site working to earn WA commissions, I would do the niche site first. Although the material in both courses overlaps, having two different sites is pretty demanding. I think you would be wise to stick to one site .... whichever one you choose, until you feel that its where you want it to be.
Reply
KTurman1 Premium
Thank you! I asked this same question of 4 people and out of the 3 that have replied so far, 2 of you have given me that same answer while the other one took the middle of the road and said to pick one to focus on! I think I am headed to my niche and onward with Course 2!

Hello Drjec

I believe you have already established your website and hopefully it is making a head way. Anyway, I would like to ask for your assistance in building my website.

I intend to build a website that guides visitors to online outlet direct sales companies that focus on various kinds of products and since I am not focusing one product such as say " how to loose fat belly in 30 days" rather being an affiliate to more companies, I am stuck with getting the right name that will result in getting higher Average and Traffic.

Hope to hear from you soon

Kind regards

Good morning,Nyse,
I don't know what you are thinking about in terms of the "various kinds of products" you write about. You will need to attract people looking for specific things in a non specific way. You could call your site the old school term something about a general staff - BestGeneralStore, YourGeneralStore,.... something like that. You could go another way & announce that you have lots of different things. "SomethingforEveryone" 'LotsofStuff" "I'vgotit"
I hope this is helpful.

Hello Drjec,

how do you like the WA hosting service? I'm currently at namecheap and am thinking about either buying a domain over there again or just go premium, and get a domain over here. Have you experienced any down times? Does your website navigate at fast speeds with a page full of content and pictures?

The only other web hosting I have experienced is go daddy. It was cheap, but not as helpful. I have had about 1/2 day of down time in the 8 months I have been here. The support is amazing. Access to a version of word press is easy. The expertise on which I can draw from the community is amazing. As I said, I haven't experienced many other web hosting sites, but i sure enjoy WA.

The first one that I recommend cost $1 for a 7 days try-out.

Past experiences teached me that it,s better to learn one platform at the time, at 3 months intervals. In 6 months, I had a well oiled Mobile Marketing Machine.

James, nice to hear from you. I look forward to getting to know you my new WA friend.

If you read my profile you would have seen that I have lived all over BC. The furthest north was a place called Tulsequah, a mining camp 65 km north east of Juneau. I love the photo of you in your fishing lure website. Lots of rock, mist and by looks a creek. My type of scenery.

Keep working hard, have some fun and don’t forget to ask questions.

A very nice boss once told me, ‘Helen, when you ask a silly question everyone else breathes a collective sigh of relief because they don’t have to!’ And that is so true. No question is silly so ask away.

If I can’t help I might be able to point you in the right direction.

I would like some help on getting my ability to offer comments on websites cleared up. I thought my comments were good although I did confuse comments and observations about the site for awhile. At any rate, I am not able to make comments because for sending too much spam. I don't think I sent any spam. Is there anything you can do to get this cleared up. Or, is there something I can do to remedy the situation? Again, thanks for the message.

When you are using the SiteComments platform, your goal is to add to the dialogue of the content and to be highly relevant to the content within the post.

If the post is about "how to lose weight fast online", then your comment should be about this exact topic. Ask a question, offer insight into your experiences within the topic, etc. You ARE NOT critiquing a website, you are not commenting on how you like the layout and you are do not want to comment things like "Great post" as it offers no value.

Here is some training on how the SiteComments platform works: You should watch this before you make another comment as it will offer you a good deal of perspective here.

PS. I have reset your threshold for you. Just be very careful moving forward.

Hi, James. Welcome to WA. It's very nice to meet you :) Thank you for the follow. I want to apologize for taking so long to welcome you. Normally, I like to respond right away but September turned out to be quite the challenging month for me and being in Northern Canada with winter fast approaching it was necessary for these obstacles to take priority. Again, I'm truly sorry for my neglect.

My Dad was a United Church Minister for many years before he switched to social work where he too worked with developmentally challenged clients.

I used to live in Sioux Lookout, Ontario (about an hour and a half northeast of Dryden) but moved to Alberta a year and a half ago. Now, I'm about an hour and a half northwest of Edmonton. Seems to be much colder here. I didn't mind the cold in Sioux because we had a wood stove so it was usually too hot in the house even at -40. Here, we have a propane furnace and we're in a mobile home rather than a house which always seems to feel so cold. I am about as ready as I can be for winter lol. I still need to poly up the windows (tonight's project) but will have to put off getting a washing machine until spring. It's going to drop to -6 tonight and it's pretty hard to keep them from freezing up during transport when it's below 0.
I will check Amazon for your book. If I have trouble locating it I will let you know. Thank you. I look forward to reading it :)

Ok, I found one from hippo books. Moose Factory Island is a fair bit more north than Sioux but the landscape still looks very similar. I'm guessing the winters are quite a bit colder, though.

Wow. That's cool that you found my book. I hope you enjoy it. It seems to me that folks either love winter or don't. As a family, we really enjoyed winter when I was in the north. We had cook outs when the temp. got to -10F. We would make a day of cutting wood etc. Lots of cross country skiing and snow shoeing. I miss the seasons here in California.

i would caution the blue text - people have got used to blue links. look around everywhere, i know you want to be different but.....(broke - fix!)
read your copy through one more time and catch (lol) the last few typo's - we all do it don't worry. (there's a do't instead of a don't)
but go for it
have fun

I forgot to mention the other day that I am going to still be offering you my awesome bonuses if you join within the next 4 days.

Here are the bonuses that you are going to be getting:

(1) You are going to get a 59% discount on your first month Premium membership (only $19)
(2) You are going to get personal and private access to me! If you ever have a question or need help with your campaigns, I will be there. Where else can you access the CEO of the company for help?
(3) I am going to be giving you my "Diamond Traffic Bonus". This is going to show you how I walk into absolutely any niche and get unlimited traffic.

But only if you join in the next 4 days (this is what I call my "action takers" bonus).

Anyways, just wanted to mention this. Hope your training is going well James and Reply to this if you do have any “pending” questions. :)

Here we are, 10 days into your experience at WA. :)

I hope things are going well James! I want to remind you of one thing, your hard work and dedication IS going to pay off. Keep working through the training, communicating within the community, and of course, ask for help when you need it.

Just heading out for a bit here, but do leave me a message if you need a hand with anything. You should have Premium communication back for an additional 7 days now, so hit me up when you get a chance James!

I hope things are going well. I know you are getting rolling within the training and there is ONE thing that always tends to confuse people and that is "what is my niche?".

I know, same thing happened to me when I started.

I just wanted to reach out and let you know that I am here if you ever want to run any niche "ideas" by me or you have any questions about finding your niche.

Get back to me when you get the chance! :)

Hey James,

Just stopping by to check in with you and see how things are coming along here at WA.

I noticed you haven't had the chance to finish setting up your profile yet. If you need any help on how to do this, this video explains it well: Finishing your profile by adding any image and a little about yourself helps other WA members better connect with you since they see you are a real person lol.

I'm always here if you need me! Feel free to ask any questions and I will assist you wherever I can.
