Hey, my names Dale & welcome to my WA profile.

For me, generating a full-time income online was always a dream but I never thought it would be possible for me to actually achieve it.

Anyway, to cut a long story short it turns out that it was!

Thanks to affiliate marketing I've been able to leave my job as an electrician & now I do this "internet marketing thing" full-time, working remotely from literally wherever I can grab an internet connection.

Whilst it didn't happen overnight it's quite crazy that it happened at all - considering that back when I first started out I'd never even heard of affiliate marketing before.

It just shows that as long as you dedicate yourself literally anything is possible regardless of who you are or what background you've come from.

I love being a part of the Wealthy Affiliate community, the people here are so friendly & it's great seeing new members joining & finding success online.

Hi Alan, this may come as a shock but I am actually a human, not a robot - meaning that for ~8 hours a day I am actually asleep & I have not yet mastered replying to emails whilst I am asleep. In future please ask all your questions via the questions tab on your profile located here: https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/alanjohnson2/questions

Thanks :)

Hope you are having a good day?
I have added images to my Website. Take a Look and see what you think. Not sure if it looks better or not but there are pictures on my posts and on the about me page. Please give me any feedback on how to make my website more appealing to my followers.

Looking a lot better now Eric - it’s already appealing. Time to scale by adding more content to begin gaining that search engine trust :)

Dale,
I have added some featured images and removed some images so they are not doubled. So I think the home page is looking better. Is adding a logo part of the training that have not gotten to yet? Again take a look and see what you think of my site. I am thinking of writing a post today about learning survival skills like hunting, trapping and shelter making do you think that fits in my niche?

Dale,

I worked on adding images to my Posts and Pages. I have them added to the content tool but they don't show on the actual site even if I say update/edit. Do I have to add the images directly on the back office or how do I get the changes reflect on my site. I was hoping to show you my website with the images added but I am going to have work more on that tomorrow or as soon as I can.

Hi Eric, the SiteContent tool can only publish content to your site, once it's been published to your site you must then edit it directly via your site. So you'll just need to head to your back office & make the changes there, then they'll show up on your site :)

Hey Dale what if I remove the post and page from the back office and then republish the page and post after they are removed?

Hmm, I'm not sure what would happen in that instance - you might be better off opening that question up to the community by posting it on your questions page here: https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/eric1981/questions

Dale,

I did it made my second key word rich post. Was a lot of work. I hope this will get easier. It may be because I am new in this niche and don't have a ton of experience. Now I need to figure out what I can write about tomorrow. Trying to make a post every day so my website get's recognized with search engines. I think that is the idea. I will continue the training tomorrow and try to fast track another post. Let me know if I am doing ok. Take a look at my post on setfordisaster.com if you want.

Thanks

Eric

Hi Eric, it'll definitely get easier with practice for sure :)

I've just taken a look at your site & it looks like you're off to a fine start, but I would definitely recommend breaking up your text a bit (ideally just one or 2 sentences per paragraph). That way it will be easier to read & more engaging. Often people get a bit "scared" when they come up against huge blocks of text.

Dale Thanks,

For Taking a look at my post. I will break it up tomorrow. I am going to try to come up with an easier way to make my posts that one took me about three hours. Let me know anything that might help.

To be honest, 3 hours isn't bad because what you have to remember is that once your site gains authority & your posts begin to rank, they will be around forever... Meaning that 3 hour investment could result in commissions for many years to come.

Dale,

I am recovering Well from Covid and have made some progress on my website creation through going through Level 2 of the Training. I have created setfordisaster.com. So far I have created an About ME Page, Privacy Policy and my first key word center post. Let me know what you think and please give me any guidance to making this a success. I am not sure this will work out to be a profitable niche since I do not have experience in this. So please give me your unbias opinion of my progress so far.

Hi Eric, glad to hear you're recovering well & made some progress. Your website looks fine so far & it can certainly be a profitable niche. The next thing you will want to do is research a list of keywords to target & then begin creating content to target them so that you can attract visitors. Here's the lesson on how to do that: Hope that helps

Thank you Dale. I already created my first post based on key words. I will take a look at the lesson above and keep going through the training and hopefully I can make some money out of this effort. Talk to you soon.
