I have never used a slider so I got the Plugin: Master Slider - Responsive Touch Slider Version: 1.3.8 Then I went to https://wordpress.org/plugins/master-slider/ to learn more about it. I tried it, and it seemed to work fine for me. If I were you, I would deactivate, uninstall, and delete all of the Slider Plugins you have. Then install and activate Master Slider Responsive Touch slider, and see if it works without any more problems. Hope this helps some. Good Luck!

Did you enable your comments in your dashboard? Under Settings, Discussion, there are several parameters you can set for comments. Check it just in case.

once you approve a comment, it will automatically go onto your website. Make sure you check which page/post the comment is on so you can go see it there

Yes you can, under "appearance", click on "customise," scroll down a bit and you can choose your home page to be static. :)
