I have 12000+ words left. In 10 days it says they refresh with 15000. Do those add onto the 12000 or does it wipe the unused credits away?

If you don’t use them you lose them, Karin.

You only keep the ones you buy.

When we are creating our websites and businesses, how much "like" a business do we create it? Do we create an LLC? Do we set up different banking accounts? I am curious

I would advise you go from simple to complex. Start off as a sole proprietor before becoming a limited Liabilty. You learn how to run your business by running it and learning from your mistakes.

Thank you for your reply.

Karin

Definitely keep things simple for now. Save your receipts to use when you do need to set something up. But until then, keep it simple.,

Alex

I will keep it simple. I like simple! Thanks for your reply.

Karin

Karin,

For simplicity, I would start out as a sole proprietor until the big money rolls in. I was once incorporated when I had the Locksmith Shop and a Used Car Dealership, along with property rentals, but I am a sole proprietor once again!

Jeff

Thanks Jeff. I'm expecting a flood of business soon!

Karin 😎

Awesome, until a certain dollar amount is reached, or they are different businesses, I would remain a sole proprietor. The taxes are far less complex, and the write-offs are more abundant, as well, but that is just my take, Karin!

Jeff

Thanks. I think I will go with the sole proprietor option for now. Once I need to hire people, then I can worry about changing it.

Karin

Yes, indeed, Karin! I f you hire writers and you spend less than $600 on each one, you can deduct it as "Subcontracting" as a sole proprietor as well!

Jeff

I think I will be legally professional as I move on. Tax advice would be beneficial.

In addition to affiliate marketing I am also a consultant. I wouldn't worry too much about setting up an LLC or anything like that until you are generating a consistent monthly income of 3k or more. Although creating an LLC can give you some leverage like separating your business credit vs. Your personal credit. This is advantages if you are looking for an advertising budget.

Also, to answer the second part of your question, you would only need one llc to be an umbrella over all of your websites

Thank you for your answers! I am working on several things right now and I am trying to get all the ducks in a row, so to speak. I am very grateful for your replies! Thanks!

Karin 😎

Much appreciated Ralph 👌
I have multiple websites as well and wasnt sure I needed to set up an umbrella company. No money has come in as of yet so I havent been fretting to much about it.

Hi Karin

Sorry you seem to be having problems similar to what I experienced.

I suggest yo seek help from Site Support team found in the Websites menu when you are logged into your account.

They are very quick in offering solutions and if you have no joy or they don't get back sooner, let me know I will share with you how they solved my problem.

Are you set up in Google analytics? This sounds like the same process as setting up google analytics.

Perhaps if you set the site up on Google analytics you won’t need to verify it for AdSense.

Hi Karin,
Copy the code. Go to appearance, theme editor, header. Upload the code between the <head> and </head> html codes.
I like to go straight under the top <head> code with my google codes.

Hope this is of some help.

Michael

The easiest way to verify is to take the code out of that file and add it to your SEO plugin. Otherwise, you need to understand FTP and follow the instructions with your FTP client like CoreFTP or FileZilla.

Thank you for the link. I will check it out.

Add all your websites to the one Amazon account and get different IDs for them.

Thank you Marion. I will try that.

Marion,

Herein lies the problem, I can't remember how to add my websites to my Amazon account. I did it two years ago and haven't done it again and I just can't figure it out. Any insights?

Thank you.

Karin

I needed a refresher too. Try this
https://affiliate-program.amazon.com/home/account/tag/manage
You should be able to create some new tracking IDs for your other websites.

Thank you!

Karin

I do remember getting accepted when I only started with my one website. Then afterwards, when I wanted to add Pinterest, I just logged into my Associate Account on the section for "Edit your Website and Mobile App List" to add any additional sites there.

But this is all under a single tracking ID.

Isaiah 😊

Thanks for the tip. I am hopeful that the advice will work.

I wish to transfer an existing website and domain to WA and although I have done this before, I cannot remember how to do it?

Can anyone help? Thank you.

Karin

Great question and great answers. I've been thinking of doing the same thing this week

Greg

If you're going to transfer the domain name and move (migrate) the website at the same time then make sure you do the backup NOW. Then change the DNS before the domain name transfer goes through to minimize down-time. Use the free plugin All In One WP Migration and ask Site Support to help you.

Hey Karin,

Seeing that you have already received advice on doing the actual transfer of your domain, I can only offer you one vital piece of advice.

Always make sure you get a FULL backup copy of your website BEFORE doing ANYTHING. This way, you won't lose your website by transferring the domain first.

Should you have already transferred your domain and can no longer obtain access to your website content, then you would need to really nicely ask your former website hosting provider if they would get a transferable copy of your website for you.

Hope you find this helpful.

Thank you for the advice!

Karin

Hey Trish. We have never had to transfer a website and I am a little confused here. Isn't there a major difference between moving a website that is hosted elsewhere over to WA as opposed to moving a Siterubix site to a new domain within WA?
If I am understanding her correctly, Karen is wanting to do the former whereas Tj (Latin Nomad) seems to be describing how to do the latter.
Philip (AKA 'confused')

Maybe I can answer. I went to the place where I already had my hosting through and requested a transfer. Then when they gave me the code I needed, I returned to the domain part of WA and put in the name of the domain and then the code and the transfer began. It could take up to 7 days to transfer, but with my past transfer it only took a few hours.

Great to see you Philip!

Karin

Yes, there is a difference. Moving from SiteRubix to a domain you purchase through WA. Your site is simply being moved from one WA website hosting server to another.

However, Karin stated:
"I wish to transfer an existing website and domain to WA..."
Having NOT read in detail what Tj suggested, that sounded to me though she was bringing her site in from an outside hosting provider.

Other members have transferred the domain from another host and THEN tried to get their content and could not. That was why I made the suggestion.

Sorry if I confused you, as that was not my intention.

Hi Trish. It definitely was not you that was confusing me but the conflicting responses to Karin's question. I think I now have a handle on this. Thank you for posting that training, it's very helpful.
Philip

Hi Karin,

I asked the same question a few days ago:

Login to your WA dashboard >> SiteRubix >> SiteManager >> look for your website in the site section >> Click on the Move button >> To a new domain >> enter your domain name >> Click on "I'm ready, Move my website" button.

Thank you! I have the transfer process now in place!

Karin

Check out this post by our fellow member. TechHound posted within the page the links to training on how to do this successfully!

Thank you!

Hope you are doing well!

Hmmm. this training is no longer available...

I will do some other searching.
Thank you anyway...
