Verify Your Website With Google Search Console Using All In One SEO

Update: January 30, 2020

Well, that used to be easy! Google has changed the way we verify websites and they've made it a bit more difficult.

Now they're pushing for people to use the DNS record to verify ownership. But what if you don't have access to the DNS record?

Click "try a URL prefix property instead"

You're gonna have to do this 4 times. HTTPS, HTTP, HTTPS://www and HTTP://www and if you have subdomains they'll all have to be verified individually.

When you get to this point, scroll down.

Now you can continue with the rest of the steps in the video.

WHEW!

The easiest way to verify your website with Google Search Console/Google Webmaster Tools is with the built-in feature of your SEO plugin.

This quick little video shows how to verify your website the simplest way.

Thank you for watching.

As always I'm here to help you,

P.S. If you have Yoast SEO then the video for that is at Google Verification Using Yoast SEO

Hi Marion,

I followed your video, it was very clear...
(I had already the HTML in my root, but I always got errors when he wants to reverify, cause then he want to use the meta tag... Therefore, I verified it both ways now... )

Grtz,
Bert

Sweet! I've always used FTP but I know that some people are a little wary of technology and prefer to use the plugins.

I also prefer FTP, but I don't understand the re-verification on the meta tag... Is it possible that the TAG manager (where I have deleted my settings) has something to do with it? Now I really think about it.. ;-)
