Closing in on the age where I need to find something that will go someway to supporting a reasonable lifestyle in retirement.
Although I guess you never really retire, We just look for another way to have income once we leave the mainstream work force.

I started out as a tradesman, building cottages, then moved onto larger projects in the building and construction industry. Eventually becoming a construction manager.

I am now away from the the planning, phone calls, meetings, look ahead planning, variations, progress or lack of it, paper work, emails, rescheduling, labor issues, sub contractors, questions on the design plans, H&S, pre- starts, environmental. Requests for information, emails, did I mention paperwork. Lots of that.

The world is changing. When tier one companies are managing government jobs less than a $1 million in value, there is a problem. They are too top heavy and bureaucratic, (people creating work for themselves to justify their position).

My last job was initially costed at $870,000 and timed for 3 months. 12 months and $5 million later we completed it. The joy of having a tier one doing the project management.(A little bit of us exploiting their lack of expertise in certain areas and creating delay's to suit us). It is all a game.

Still, for all that, we only earn an income if we give. Someone gave us a job, we gave labor and received something for our efforts. If I gave value (job made a profit), I kept my job.šŸ˜Ž

I was fairly well compensated in my construction management job, but it never really translated to financial security. It is an industry with booms and busts.

I like to travel, not as a tourist, but as an explorer. I have Tesol and Teflen credentials.
If I am teaching English to speakers of another language, I am able to stay longer, and see more with the income covering some of my expenses. Also it gives others opportunity for participation in the wider world.

The exchange of giving and receiving follows us through life.

I will leave this quote.

"People are eternally divided into two classes, the believer, builder, and praise'r...and the unbeliever, destroyer and critic."

Went Premium with Wealthy Affiliate in November 2018.

Had my first 6 blog posts done by end of January 2019.

Work became fairly busy but averaged one blog post a week until May.
2 referral's in May.

Only managing one post a month May to end of August.

September. Spent the month in Colombia. one blog post for the month.

October back in Australia. Another referral.

Built out my blog to 48 posts by end of November. Started posting on Medium.

Changed my SEO plugin to Rank Math. Had to update Keywords on all my posts. Helped a member with finding an affiliate company with which to work.

End of November - December spent time with my mother. She passed away on 11th December.

Very little activity from December - end of February. Having to care for my father who suffers dementia.

One referral in January.

March. Started posting again, and catching up on Jays video sessions.
Traveled back to Colombia on the 15th March. Lock down for COVID 3 days later.
April: Still in Colombia. 4 new blog posts done in the past 2 weeks, 2 new posts on Medium. . Emails to do refresher courses from a Power company.
Don't think I really want to go back onto their sites. 16 days left to think about it.
May 5th. šŸ˜
Still in Colombia. They have extended the isolation until the 25th. Wonder how long the Colombians will put up with that. Stuffs things up a little for me,
One 3800 word blog post on drop shipping done on the weekend. Easy for me I have done it. I actually like it better than Affiliate marketing. !!
Here we are, the end of August, and I am still in Colombia. I have set up a website for a business on WA's hosting and have kick started it with a couple of posts.
I have been having a few site issues with plugin conflicts on my MMO site and think I have rectified them, plus I changed themes and bought a premium theme.
Nothing much on the referral side of things, which is probably understandable given my focus on other things.
I have registered two domain names for E-Commerce. Which I will be setting up before Xmas.
23/10/20. PayPal credentials added to my ecomm site.
Been awhile since I have been here. 12mths !
My barefootaffiliate site now has more than 100 posts on it. Lots of requests from advertisers to do articles for them.

I hope things are going well. I know you are getting rolling within the training and there is ONE thing that always tends to confuse people and that is "what is my niche?".

I know, same thing happened to me when I started.

I just wanted to reach out and let you know that I am here if you ever want to run any niche "ideas" by me or you have any questions about finding your niche.

Get back to me when you get the chance! :)
