So, I'm at the stage in the Bootcamp where I need to do all the social media stuff.
I get it, I know how important it is, how amazing a tool it can be if used correctly
Hi, Josh.
Scary and awkward are a big part of life. Better get used to it. There may be more to come, besides NEW friends ill come into the picture.
Sophia has an excellent suggestion. Start with Goggle+.
Hi Josh,
Start with Google+. It's owned by Google, so it's a great first step. Read the lessons here and share your account . Amplifying Your Google Love With Google Plus Share Your G Accounts Here! Sophia
I have been through that, but I started with social media again, specifically for business. And it can play the game changer. Remember social shares and likes influence Google search results A LOT.
I know it probably seems ridiculous to most people, but to reach out to all of those people that I once spent all of my time with - scary!
Thanks for the reply - I just need to get my a** in gear and get on with it!

My site has been running for about 4 weeks now - I think - my trust is at 0.
I don't mind things taking a while, I understand the fact that as my site is brand new, thin
Trust takes time, months of it. I have been going now for 4 months with my site and my trust is only at 30% so far. People generally start to see revenue in about 6 months, give or take a couple. Some have taken up to a year to see any revenue. So yes it just takes time. The more you post and the more comments u get the faster your trust will go up.
You're doing everything perfectly, brother. You're right on track. The Google trust that shows here under your domain's details goes up 10% each month. It's just an indicator that helps to remind you that time is a huge factor when it comes to making progress with Google.
Here's a quick read that can keep you motivated. You're right on track. Trust me. Keep that motivation and be patient. Understanding the Question "How Long Before I Make Money?"

How long does it normally take to gain google's trust?

So, I've been at this affiliate marketing stuff for 2 weeks now and I'm not a millionaire yet!!! What's wrong with my site?
JOKING clearly. But I have been wondering how
If you fetch newly published post, it can be ranked in a few minutes, in the worst case overnight.
That will depend on what u mean by being ranked. If u mean within the first 3 pages of Google then I disagree. When I talk about being "Ranked", I mean within the top 3 pages of Google.
In reality, we all get ranked in Google pretty fast at some level but if it is below page 5 then it really does not matter as no one will find u as they generally do not go past page 3 of the SERPS when doing a search. So yes, in that case, u can say u are ranked in minutes even though it may be on page 10 or something.
U r not going to rank on page 1 of Google in minutes from a 2 week old site. The site is just too young and has no trust yet with Google. Even Jay agrees with that. If your site has been around for a while and has trust with Google then yes I agree that it is possible to rank on page 1 of Google within minutes, if u have all the correct SEO done to your article. Jay just did a webinar on this a couple of weeks ago, where he showed that an old site with trust can rank in Google within, I think it was 8 or 12 minutes. But his site had been around for quite a while and he had good trust with Google on that site. He also said that it will NOT happen with a new site.
Of course there are always the few exceptions that occur. I am talking about in general it does not happen.
Being ranked means being ranked. This was his title have a look.
Fetch works equally for any site. I used it in new sites.
Agreed then in that case. Fetch does work great and in using it everyone then gets ranked a lot sooner. New or old site.
Getting ranked in Google can take up to a few months before Google decides where to place u. Your ranking will go up and down in that time period as Google analyses your site and determines your publishing schedule and a bunch of other metrics that Google uses in its algorithm. U should always publish on a regular schedule, Google really likes this. As far as traffic goes, again it will take a few months before u start to see traffic. U may get sporadic traffic in the mean time but it still will take a while.
Most things with Affiliate marketing websites will take a few months for things to start to happen. Some people do not see any money for 6 months, some a year and some as soon as 1 month. It all depends on your website, your niche, how often u publish, the age of your site, and a bunch of other factors. So it is hard to say when things will happen for u on your site, just too many variables.
Just keep working on your site and it will grow and things will get better.
Hey man thanks for that, very helpful.
I try to either post something, write a new page or at least edit/ improve an existing page/ post everyday. I think it's something that I'll be able to maintain pretty well, even if it's just a short post about the quote that I've lived by that day or successes that I've had - surely that has to help things.
I'm trying to keep my content "organic" and helpful, rather than keyword dense and clearly aimed at selling.
In my plumbing business we do a lot of "bits and pieces" that we don't get paid for - so that we gain repeat custom and referrals. So I think having pages here and there that aren't tied to a product that I'm promoting could do the same kind of thing.
What do you think?
Posts like this - will they help with google if they're almost daily?
http://becometheentrepreneur.com/you-get-to-choose-your-attitude
yes that will be fine. Even posting just once a week at the the same time is beneficial. If u are doing it every day that is great. Keeping your content "natural" is also good, so u are doing fine. U will start to see ranking soon. :)
Thanks for that. Is there anything that I can be doing differently/ better to help things along?

I read so many sales pages for all sorts of online scams. They are ALL really long and drawn out, with loads of "proof" thrown in all over the place showing huge cheques and re
I agree with the others in that you should focus more on good content with good keywords. There should be no set number of words. In fact, there should be a variety with some shorter pages and some longer. If you do the same thing over and over, people get bored.
Blessings,
Debby
Concentrate on writing good content and creating value. Do that and the length doesn't matter.
I'm new and not an authority, but I have read and been scammed enough to be totally turned off whenever I click into one of those sales letters.
I am really interested to see everyone's answers to this...
