About DavePage
Joined April 2016
Well, I’ve been here at WA since April this year, 2016

When I arrived here I knew ZERO, and I mean Zero about building an online business and building a website.

I made a couple of attempts on Blogger and a couple of others, BUT they didn’t come to anything.

I also have a Karatbars business which I started 18 months ago, but that didn’t go anywhere at the time because I didn’t know how to market it.

My only website, built solely by a friend, because I wanted to blog about training for a Half Marathon back in 2008 is now defunct as I’ve moved on from that (I still run when I can)

I’ve also always wanted to build a website about my lovely dogs, (Labradors) attempted it on another platform and quite enjoyed the experience, yet I had no idea of the mechanics to make it successful.

Fast forward to present day….November 2016

I’m currently on Monthly Premium until Black Friday when I go Yearly regardless of whether my own referrals do

I currently have 5 Premiums referrals plus about a dozen sitting on the fence

I’m receiving a world class education whereby I can ask questions at anytime and get answers immediately from numerous people

I have a website for my dogs which is a work-in-progress as I don’t know which direction I want to take it yet, BUT it’s mine, and I’m proud of it.

My Karatbars business is growing nicely AND I now know how best to market it and between my “make money” posts I average around 1500 hits a month.

I get truly exciting when I see another email coming in to tell me:
my “Wealthy Affiliate Invitation” has been accepted, and:
Karatbars tell me I have a “New Partner in my downline” it doesn’t necessarily mean I’ll earn commission from it but it does mean my posts and my marketing strategies are paying off.

The point here is, Kyle says there’s 2 billion people in the world with internet access who may not even know that they want to run an online business yet, I just want 300+ of them to my name in WA and that many again in Karatbars would be lovely.

That’s 600+ out of 2 billion, is it really too much to ask for?

Um yes I think so ,not sure if it'll work- I see by reading other peoples posts that they can try a few before they get success so I wont worry. I have an idea for something around caring which is the work I do, amazon sell products so should be okay.

600+??? Pah !! Only got 1% of that so far in 8 months. I'm struggling with getting my green lights with yoast. I have loads of improvements to do, that said my Karatbars business is seeing more interest at the moment. I am motivated by reading success stories here, that's what keeps me going.

How are you getting on?
Reply
devonguttez Premium
You haven't given up and that is the main thing. You are still determined to complete the task and achieve your goals. In that 8 months surely you have achieved a goal that you can be proud of. Look at the positive you have now and make that a success story to motivate you. Don't let others live the dream for you. You can do it too and I believe you have the determination to do it. Some may take days and some may take months or maybe even years to build what they have.

A strong house is built with the strong foundation applying brick by brick, if it doesn't fit, there is always a way to fix it and you keep building till you see it standing and you can live and shelter in it for years even those you love can take shelter in it even way after your gone. Same applies to your business.

Don't be left out in the storm because you feel you can't succeed. Because you can.

I am getting there slow but sure. Brick by brick.

Wish you well

Dave....I absolutely love Bailey & Archie on your "Love Labs" site!

Fantastic!

I had a Chips & a Sammy & a Harley sequentially! Was going to get a "Davidson" from when I bred my Harley twice and got 12 pups each litter- the poor momma was exhausted!

Can you imagine....I'm at the off-leash dog park calling " Harley"..."Davidson"!!!! As if I'm calling for my motorcycle to start up and come on over!!!

PS Loved how you monetized simply with Amazon UK link....all departments!

Hi Dave.
I have a challenge in completing my second lesson in course one. I am frustrated as I tried everything in my knowledge but I can't lock it out. How it happen? I skipped to complete one of the tasked. (Comment on TWO people). To tick the boxes at the end I realized that I commented only on one person now I scrolled back to see where was the comment area but I cannot find it. Is it possible to jump and go to the next lesson?
Please I need help.

I intentionally set out with zero budget and maximum effort and each business I'm in earns me hundreds a month but it took 6 months to achieve that.
Register to each of the links on my 'useful links' page on makemorecashonline.com and I'll show you exactly what to do. Obviously you can't do siterubix but you can do the other 2.
I have a 12 month plan and I WILL achieve it. You can too

Hi. Thanks for the follow! Sounds like you are on the fast track to success here. We started around the same time, but I farted around for several months, not really putting a lot of effort into things. I rededicated myself to WA about... 6 weeks (?) ago, but I feel like I have a very, very long way to go. It's really nice to hear about someone having success, especially so quickly.

I hope that 2017 is exponentially better for you!

To start with this platform and community will appear like a mine field and very overwhelming. Just don't rush through anything like most people do, and I did at first too. There's a TON of help here 24/7.
If you don't have a niche in mind, you could promote WA as loads of us do - also read member's Profiles BIO for inspiration.

Thanks Dave, true, i dont have a niche yet i can zero on, although i love writing and local/African music but i do not think my English grammar is that good and i dont know if blogging about local/African music and or entertainment sells, i am only doing it on my facebook page for fun.

So promoting WA, i ve to study the lessons at bootcamp first?
Reply
DavePage Premium
Your English Grammar has been fine whilst messaging me, Perfect content doesn't exist.
Is there a market for local/African music? You will know!
If there isn't one, then create one if that is your passion.
Yes spend your time on the BLACK tab, you should find that soon, you'll be learning and earning.

I've been here long enough to know that this business and promoting WA DOES work. If it didn't Kyle and Carson would be going to Vegas on their own.

Dave, what a profile! I do think your mum spoiled you a bit too much if you couldn't cook by the time you left home. All of us could because we had a chore roster and this was on it. Along with ironing and all the hateful stuff (at that age anyway).

A friend of mine told his sons, when they reached driving age, to buy an old cheap bomb and invest your money in property. And they did and went really well.

It's a good thing your son isn't allergic to dogs! I just went over and took a look at them. You need a pic of the three tennis balls in mouth!

Hope things are looking up financially. Keep working hard, have some fun and don’t forget to ask questions.

A very nice boss once told me, ‘Helen, when you ask a silly question everyone else breathes a collective sigh of relief because they don’t have to!’ And that is so true. No question is silly so ask away.
If I can’t help I might be able to point you in the right direction.

Now let us keep in touch.

PS I didn't go all the way to the bottom of this, but if you haven't connected with Labman you might like too. He does lots with his labs including rescue.

My parents emigrated in 1981. I was still at school, but didn't get to finish it to do my higher certificate (the one after my O levels) as we left before I did the full year. Still it didn't work out too bad. I took myself to nightschool here (school qualifications from Scotland, England, etc didn't count then) and after a few years of factory work, etc. I worked my way up to being a Business Centre then later Retail Manager with Australia Post. Not doing any of those high climbing jobs now though!

Thanks for the follow Dave. Love reading bio, with health problems driving like an idiot was not an option.

I have only ever had one major accident. It was either a telegraph pole, or the back of another car. Chose the car, seeing I never wanted to end up in hospital.

Have been there myself, at one stage I owed my mum about £380, but as you could guess wages here are terrible. Paying my mum back was not a problem.

Credit cards where though, I must have paid out nearly £40,000 - £50,000 on interest.

Owed my dad about £6000, due to wanting to become a driving instructor. Unfortunately that never happened, as I ended up becoming very ill at one point,

Hi Dave, thank you for the follow and I'm now following back...sorry it's taken awhile! Anyways, I loved reading your profile here...what an amazing journey you've had so far!

It's never easy being a caretaker, as I've been that many times working in the health field, and with family members who've needed help, and still am to my Dad...to some degree anyways, my brother, hubby, and I keep an eye on him, make sure he eats well and stays well as he is in his 80s now. It's a 24/7 job in a way, but so much more involved when it's a loved one.

I'm happy to be a part of your network, and it's also great to know you're a fellow dog parent. I totally understand why you keep your dogs even if finances aren't the greatest at the moment...we wouldn't give up ours either as it'd be almost like giving up our kids!

Anyways, I've probably gone on too long here, sorry about that! If you ever need help or have questions, just ask. I'm happy to help when I can.
Looking forward to following your journey here to success!
Best wishes to you and your family :) ~Sherry

Hi Dave
Thank you for including me in your friendship circle here at WA. It's a pleasure to meet you. I loved reading your profile and can relate so much to being a carer, because I am one too. It's what has driven me to try to build a future online. I went to Uni to try to change my life, but couldn't continue once I graduated because even though I had pretty much been a carer for my daughter all her life, her needs became more intense and she needed more full time care. The income is pittance compared to what I would have been earning from a degree and working. Time wise, online was the only way I could see to make those changes to my income and life, while still being able to offer the care for my daughter. The ability to work on my business during any odd hours I can find during my caring role is something I can't find with a mainstream job. It's great to have you here and I wish you much success with it all.

I also made a list of 1001 niche ideas, a checklist with 25 points to go through before you publish a post, 101 blogging ideas when you get stuck and an A-Z WA dictionary. I just love lists:) It has been very helpful to a lot of people. You can find them on my profile on the right, the first website link (click on my picture). I hope to help you with those.

Hello Dave...thanks for the follow and welcome to WA. I read your entire bio...which I don't usually do:) You have an interesting writing style which captured my interest. I wonder if you have a gift that you may not have been aware of...writing. You may find a real niche in blogging due to this.

If I may be of service to you with WA or via my 2 websites, please let me know.

Regards,
Jeff

Thank you for your comment Jeff, admittedly I've always enjoyed writing, yet never really done it. I do enjoy blogging along with my passion for reading autobiographies, that said I'm having to sacrifice that for a while whilst I'm busy creating an income stream.
I wouldn't mind your opinion on my sites if you're happy to do that? I'm just hoping I'm going in the right direction!

Hi Dave,
Thank you for following me.
You have quite some story there but I can empathise with a lot of it. Funny old thing life, how things turn out. Your parents remind me a lot of mine and also how I now try to help out my two boys when they need it.
I wish you the best with your endeavours at WA. Just know that it doesn't all happen quickly as we'd like. Just don't give up!
Regards,
Janet.

DavePage I wanted to stop by and thank you for following me. I have read your story and lived through much of what you have. I have been in internet marketing for quite a while now and even have a couple websites making a few dollars here and there. My problem has always been the distraction of whats the next best thing out there. It caused massive information overload and stopped me from ever really being successful. WA is the answer, I feel it in my bones. I wish you all the best. We just need to do it one day at a time and keep moving forward.

I understand where you're coming from, personally I'm completely new to this whole industry so trying a couple of different things as you can see from my sites. Need to knuckle down and earn though, that's also why I work on karatbars.
Have you heard of Bob Proctor?

Bob Proctor is the author of you were born rich. I read that book many years ago. That book was given to me by a friend that got me started in a company called Higher Ideals. Shortly after that this person showed me how to build a simple website to meet people from all over. I my have to go find that book and read it again. Thanks for bringing back some old memories.

I'd suggest NOT reading it again, more study it, The entire Born Rich Seminar is on YT which I've got on my phone and have watched a couple of times. I've tried to read Think and Grow Rich in the same way but just can't absorb it like I can with Born Rich, that said I have listened to Earl Nightingales condensed narration of TAGR a number of times which is practically the same in essence. If you struggle to keep positive with your WA career like I do sometimes I find this helps a lot. I've read Born Rich just once, and now very often just dip into it to read a couple of pages.
It was one of Bob's students that got me into Karatbars a while back which is one of the reasons why I believe in it.

In NZ and maybe where you are is a new moon? I know thar here we deal in logic? But reality is where logic and illogical(DIVINE) are part of the equation-your mum's timing perhaps? But anyway, it is during daylight hours of the new moon that a New Moon cheque from the bank of abundance can be written and stashed somewhere. Another thing, and frowned upon by Kyle is my MLM, more particularly, the main product type of this MLM. In 4Life are products containing Transfer Factors. These are a key to licking allergy issues.

Hey Dave, you are totally going to make it! When I read your page, I see someone who is resourceful and makes things happen, and doesn't give up. You write about debt a lot in your post and it's possible that you have shame attached to that you should let go of. I see a man who just keeps going, no matter what. Just keep doing it - you'll make it!

Dave, I see you are making some good progress through the Affiliate Bootcamp. Just wanted to pop by and see if you need a hand with anything?

I also wanted to mention the success rates of Bootcamp. Absolutely everyone that has taken action on all of the phases of Bootcamp has a business that is generating consistent income online. MANY of these folks are going to be at our super affiliate conference next year.

I want this to be you and I want you to succeed with your promotions. So, please promise me that if you ever need a hand or feel stuck as you move forward, that you will get in touch with me!

Trust me, I know things can be a little overwhelming sometimes and I don't want you feeling like that.

Anyways, just checking in. Get back at me if you need anything Dave.

I used to but it was removed a while back due to having rejected comments

When you are using the SiteComments platform, your goal is to add to the dialogue of the content and to be highly relevant to the content within the post.

If the post is about "how to lose weight fast online", then your comment should be about this exact topic. Ask a question, offer insight into your experiences within the topic, etc. You ARE NOT critiquing a website, you are not commenting on how you like the layout and you are do not want to comment things like "Great post" as it offers no value.

Here is some training on how the SiteComments platform works: You should watch this before you make another comment as it will offer you a good deal of perspective here.

PS. I have reset your account so you can now use this platform.
