Welcome to my profile ladies and gentlemen.
Hello to you all and how are you doing?
I am from the United Kingdom.
I was first curious about making money online when I heard about eBay some years back. I was just so thrilled to know that, you could be at home and work from your laptop selling online.
So I tried my hand at selling on eBay for a little while after hearing that some friends of a cousin of mine had given up their day jobs to go full time on eBay selling items.
It was all so new to me at the time, but what kind of dishearten me was finding and maintaining suppliers for continued business and also the waiting periods involved like the auctions bidding system etc.
And the back and forth to the post office to ship items to buyers.
So I kind of drifted into researching other ways of how to make money online. I found so much information on the internet from free PDF eBooks to websites, audios, etc; all promising this and that if you were to buy their system for x amount of money. I put my hands up...I fell victim to a few scammers here and there as you would, being a complete newbie to “making money online”.
But my desire to be my own boss never faded away, I’ve been in and out of a few different types of job, all of them leaving me feeling sad after I’d finished the day and even sadder when I woke up in the morning to go do them again.
I just knew that there has to be something that will sit good with me, because just doing things solely for money doesn’t really give my heart and mind that satisfaction or delight to be doing whatever it was plus just living to pay bill after bill.
I have a creative mind and I’m a thinker...I think a lot. Most of the time too much as I’m finding out now through listening to motivational and inspiring speakers.
How I found out that there’s another world out there; called “The Internet” and the various routes to earning an income through them. I’ll keep my experience brief for now.
Back in 2013 I landed a job as an English Language teacher and was offered to work abroad which I accepted.
To cut a long story short I hated the job so badly. I would go back my apartment after the school had finished and just surf the net looking for happiness...mainly YouTube at that time.
Because I had done some eBay sales and other than that I was mostly looking for how to be your own boss etc. The first person I started to listen to was a guy who calls himself “King Human”.
He mentioned some interesting topics but not the practical step by step way of achieving the desired goal. We all know how YouTube works...it served me quite well because for some reason suppose through its random suggested videos to watch I found a guy called Robert Kiyosaki and started to listen to his videos.
I had never heard anything like it...I was stunned. Then one evening myself and some colleagues from work went to the mall to get some food and just chill out after a stressful week teaching.
I love to read and try to better myself, so we went into a bookstore had a look around in the education department for any books that might make teaching easier. Anyway my desire lead me into the business section...whilst my friends looked for books on mathematics and I. T.
Look what I found...the same guy I had been listening to on YouTube, Robert Kiyosaki and the book was called “Rich Dad Poor Dad”. I bought it straight the way. And things just went sour from there as regards teaching. I got fired six months into my nine month contract...what a relief it was.
I read the book over and over...I was so happy this man was sharing this method of thinking and doing. That I bought his other books. And from there one thing led to another...I went through information over load and ended up doing not much.
I kept searching for clues on how to start something...i didn’t know anyone who does affiliate marketing...i ddint even know it existsed..And now I learn to some good motivational speakers like Bob Proctor who informs you of how to change your mindset and to change your subconscious paradigms to better your outer self.
And I’ve ended up here on Wealthy Affiliate after trying some MLM rubbish and other that.
So I hope to stay focused with Wealthy Affiliate and learn what’s needed to succeed in this route and have a network of like minded people that we can bounce ideas off each other or get advice from etc.
If you’ve got this far down the page, then thank you for reading and taking the time out to know a small portion about me.
