Hey guys,
So I used the following checker to see if my website was sandboxed:
I'm surprised my site, http://smartbodyz.com/ isn't sandboxed (I checked). Been on the Internet since '96 (longer than Goog**) and I assumed they have always sandboxed me. Particularly, due to the penguin/pelican/elephant/monkey/panda/polar (whatever they're called) updates ... which is when my traffic crashed!
I tried to my domains there this morning one it looks okay and one is possibly sandboxed - neither are
Just reacted on Jovo's blog, My dot com sites are looking good, but all 3 siterubix.com sites are getting the message: is possibly penalized or sandboxed by google!
Could this be a siterubix.com problem?
You can add more quality contents frequently on yr site. The reason could be there are some spammy incoming spam links or you have duplicate contents. :(
If you have spam backlinks or yr site is penalized, you can read the article below on how to remove spam backlinks using google disavow links tool here:-

I don't think you have been sandboxed because i just did a serp check on one of your posts and it said you were ranked at 216 for natural ways to boost immune system simple and effective tips and your site has been indexed too

"The only real escape from the Sandbox is time."
"While your site is in the Sandbox, it’s an ideal time to continue to add fresh keyword rich content and new incoming links to your site. Adding incoming links will ensure that they also avoid any possible new link dampening filter that might be in effect. They would be well aged and ready to pass along their full value of PageRank and link popularity as the site rises from the depths of the Sandbox."
"Your website’s stay in the Sandbox is an ideal time to add more theme relevant content. Concentrate on adding more keyword rich pages, and don’t forget both on-page and off-page factors. On the page, make sure your title tags match the most important keywords for that page. Add a site map and make sure that all of your pages link properly to one another with appropriate link anchor text containing the keywords for that page. Off-page link anchor text should be set up to include keywords for the receiving page as well. Don’t waste any of your available site improvement time while in the Sandbox. When the filter is lifted, your improved site will rise rapidly to its proper place at the top of the search rankings."
I don't know how accurate that website is. However, my advice would be to just keep creating and publishing quality content on your website.

So I found some keywords with below 10 QSR but with over 100 million results on google.
Does that mean that I can easily outrank the many authority sites that show up with
The 100 million results you see without quotes is misleading. I wrote a blog that explains it if you'd like to check it out. Understanding Competition Analysis - For Beginners
You want to make sure that the "searches" number in Jaaxy or the WA Keyword Tool is greater than 50. The "results" number you quoted does not have a lot of meaning.
For example, if your keyword tool says there are 100 searches per month and the QSR is 8, then that is a good, low-hanging fruit keyword. Use it and it will probably help you get a decent rank to start with.
Realize, however, that there are a number of parameters on which Google bases your rank. One is the maturity of your site. If you only have 10 posts total and you use a keyword with a QSR of 8, you may still only be ranked on the third or fourth page. That rank will get better over time, however, if you consistently add additional content to your site. Eventually, that keyword post could very well end up on page 1.

I am using genesis framework, and i want the child theme to look exactly like the sample and then go on editing from there.

This just came online today, haven't seen it yet but it is about setting up the genesis theme How to Install and Setup A Genesis Theme
Child theme when created is identical to the parent. By Definition.
The only time you would create a child is when you want to make changes.
I am using the genesis framework, and trying to set up the sample as a child. The sample is nothing like the framework.
Should i copy and paste the style.css from the genesis?

So upon doing some keyword research I have come across something that puts into question everything that I have learnt in the training here.
The keyword is "wealthy affili
Hello Adam
A quick analysis of the site shows several factors which is ranking the site well.
1. Aged Domain 2009, will always rank better than a new domain
2. No Outbound affiliate links - It is well documented that G does not like 'Thin' affiliate sites
3. Over 1000 words of content on the page
4. Outbound links to an authority site (BBB.org)
5. Incoming links from an authority site (SiteRubix)
6.Keyword 'Review' is shown in the header title, and 'Wealthy Affiliate' is in the first line of content- I think this is why the site is ranking for Wealthy Affiliate Review
I would think that the site will lose its position when or if no additional content is added, and also newer sites on older domains tend to rank well initially, and then quickly lose their position if they are not updated or additional content is added.
It is a good lesson though on how to get a web page ranked
Wishing you every success
Paul
Hi Adam :) also the keyword "Wealthy Affiliate Complaints" when I put that in the google search bar this page does come up #1 in ranking, I do not know who's behind this page, it certainly is a cleaver one
