Well, I thought I had written something in this earlier. Anyways, I'm 28 years old. I got into internet marketing february 2009. I spent most of 2009 and 2010 chasing the next shiny object, and never really getting any work done. I got a little work down in 2011. This year I've committed to hunkering down, doing the work, and bringing in the money. ;)

I'm originally from Colorado, although right now I am living in Texas.

I enjoy reading, hiking, playing baseball/softball, fishing, hanging out with friends, and having a good time.

I was surprised to come across a "goals" post by you, Thomas! It's not often I see that from an oldbie. And, considering you've been a WA member since Apr 28, 2009, you're quite the olbie!

Are you repeating all the steps over, from the beginning?

I love how exact your answer is, to: "And how much time are you willing to invest to achieve these goals". There's no advice I can offer to a seasoned pro such as yourself, so I'll just wish you great luck and great success. :)

Awesome goals. Your goals will truly become reality. Everything success starts with a goal. Just start and working toward it.

Dedicate yourself to the training at WA and take action asap. Action leads to success. Stay persistent and ask for help, an entire community and support is behind you. All of us here will be happy to give you a hand.

Wish you success.

I like the way you broke it down and put some thought into it! Enjoy the process!

To be completely honest, and I feel kind of silly typing this, I've never made it past level 3. Also, I've been away from WA, and my websites for that matter, for about the past 9 months. WA has changed quite a bit within the last 9 months, so I thought it would be a good way to become reacquainted and to get me going down the right path with my websites.

I don't consider myself a seasoned pro. There are a lot of members who have been here far less time than I have that could run circles around me and are wildly more successful. I've learned a lot in the nine years I've been around internet/affiliate marketing, but I haven't taken nearly enough action nor have I taken action consistently

I kind of feel like the number of years I've been here is a giant albatross hanging around my neck. I think there is an expectation that if you've been around that long, then you should be super successful. However, the length of time someone's been a member doesn't indicate the level of experience or success that someone has or has reached.

In the end, I've known for a long time what to do, it's just a matter of me doing the work, not making up excuses, and actually implementing the training I've been paying for all these years.

Hi CT,

Thank you for the encouraging words! Taking action is definitely something I've been missing for a long time!

You shouldn't feel silly, Thomas (or do you prefer "Tom" or something else?) ALL of us, certainly including me, can hit snags and get derailed. The important thing - what (I feel) guarantees we'll be successful - is that we don't quit.

I know what you mean, about not feeling like a seasoned pro. I've been here since July, 2016 - and had my own .com blog since Aug, 2016 - but haven't monetized my blog yet, or done much work on it at all.

That isn't to say I'm not working TOWARD it (writing content like a fiend), but my work is all "behind the scenes". I'm determined to make my dream - helping people escape poverty - a reality. That's a hugely-complex, multifaceted subject. It's hard (and depressingly time consuming) to get it hammered into a step-by-step "guide" that covers the majority of challenges poor people face.

If I started publishing content before I got that done, it would be a mess, with sub-topics missing and the ones I DO have would be out of logical order.

I know I could publish what I have and edit and add to it later, organizing as I went. But, I want ALL my readers to benefit equally from the "guide". I don't want the first readers to miss out because they didn't have all the information from day 1.

And, I know I could create a 2nd blog, monetize it, and get some cash coming in. But I don't want to take ANY focus away from my dream.

I've been a WA member a fraction of the time you have, but I, too, feel the amount of time I've been here is an albatross hanging around my neck - like I haven't made enough visible progress and I need to explain why. I feel that, if I don't, people may think affiliate marketing, or WA, doesn't work. I KNOW they do, but have no visible accomplishment to point to as proof.

Once I'm ready to publish, I'm first going to do exactly as you're doing: start over at lesson 1 and work my way through to the end. Because - as you said - WA has changed quite a bit.

I'm truly amazed by all I've learned from WA and the WA community. I can only IMAGINE how much you've learned in nine years of working in internet/affiliate marketing!

You and I are different in many ways. Yet we have three very important things in common. We know:
* affiliate marketing will help us achieve the lifestyle we want,
* WA is valuable and well worth being a Premium member of,
* we WILL succeed, so long as we refuse to give up.

Luck is something everyone can use - even pros working in their fields of expertise, as you're doing - so I wish you great luck, as well as a smooth path to your goals!

Hey Thomas, I saw your profile while browsing in here and wanted to say I've got a similar story to yours. Which island are you from? I went to Kona a couple of years ago and it was great! Plan on moving there some day. I hope you can get on track, let me know if you need any tips on how I did.

I'm living on Oahu. I'm definitely getting on track. It's amazing how you quit buying products when you stop reading their emails...lol. Thanks, for the offer. I'm sure I'll take you up on it. Happy New Years!
