Hello, everyone!
As I was writing a new blog earlier at Site Content / Editor, I noticed there is an 'Icon' (or) a button (right next to the button that 'checks grammar'
You can use that button to upload your own images. Just make very sure that it is your images or royalty free images.

Right above that bar is a search bar that you can use to search for royalty-free images, Xiadani. Rather use them

Hi Xiadani,
I started using them after Carson introduced this service.

Are we allowed to use the images suggested at site content?

Hi Xiadani,
The free images are the main reason I use site content - my main grammar and spell check is on Grammarly, and it doesn't work in site content. Since site content images are easy to find and totally free and need no attribution, I look there first for all my images...
Cheers,
Steve

Hello, everyone!
I am trying to insert an image on my website without having to crop it. Can someone help this newbie out?
How can I change the size of the header i
Go to appearance > customize > header (or header background).
See if you have an option to select:
"set the header height as background image size". That might work to reduce it to the theme's size requirements.
See screenshot from my site.
If that doesn't work, you can use the WordPress image editor to resize it, but you need to know the exact size required. Eric shows you how in his tutorial How To Add Image in Wordpress & Edit It for Improved Site Speed You cannot change a smaller image to a bigger one without distorting it, but you can make a larger image smaller by cropping or resizing.
I sometimes use this simple online image editor. It's easy to use.

Okay. I've added Eric's tutorial link to my reply above, probably while you were in the process of replying to me, so you might want to try using WordPress resizer first before an external image editor. ~Jude
Hi Xiadani,
depending on the template you use (mine is Journalistic), when you upload a pic as the header-pic, WP presents to you the image, with a dotted-line outline for cropping. You can slide the dotted-line frame up and down till it looks best, then click "Crop image". That usually gives you a fairly wide but short header image. There are 2 ways I've tried to change the image dimensions when shown on the screen. 1. manipulate the dotted-line outline to change its height then click "Crop image", or 2. just click "Skip crop".
I hope this helps.
