Fiverr is a site filled with many different gigs costing $5. It's definitely worth taking a look at. You can get content written, videos created, drawings made....etc... Just way to much to list.
My website has a blog post about Fiverr and tells you everything you need to know about it but you can also go to www.Fiverr.com and figure things out as well.
The banner is really nice, and the best thing is nobody will use it on their own website as their own since you have your own picture on it.
yea, seems that the best converting websites has a picture in the banner. I perform a search on the best converting websites and that one design characteristic stood out. Also a "sign up" or "join now" button was in the banner as well.
Hi that is a great looking header. The one negative I did see noted below, and agree with was that it would be better to have the box with "Sign Up To Wealthy Affiliate" click-able and with a link. This can be done with an image map using your image and html code. Here's a link that gives an explanation and an example of the code.

Best wishes on your endeavors
Thanks Drawshot. I was already working on making the banner clickable. Maybe your link is a little easier for me to follow and understand.
Banner looks great but one thing is a bit misleading, on the banner it says "sign up to Wealthy Affiliate" when I hovered over it I was expecting to have a link.
Hey bap1304, I'm still working on making the banner clickable. Hoping to have that code figured out by tomorrow. I just had the banner added about 20 mins before posting the discussion topic.

Hey Terrill
I see your $5 was a good investmentin your site! Cool!
We have some members here that work on Fiver they are so good. :)

I am wondering here, there are 6.6 Million in Dallas, x% of them have no access to computers, x% have no access to internet, x% are involved with a job, x% are just not interested in doing this kind of thing. As you can see the numbers can get lower.
With a worldwide audience the numbers are vastly greater. I’m always told that in a numbers game it’s best to increase your numbers for better success. I lived in Las Vegas for many years and increasing your odds are usually the way to win.
I see your point though, you have a website that has high competition with everyone who joins WA and with that much competition, you’re right, you have to do something that makes you “STAND OUT!” Or you’ll not have much success and fall by the wayside.
In a Blueberry field the one who has the most success is not the many who search for blueberries. It’s the one who searches for clover. Because no one else is. But his success doesn’t come from lowering the numbers. It’s from being, or doing something different.
Maybe another site, with another niche, one not related to WA is something to consider. Suppose your WA site was highly successful, would you stop there? Or would you try another? Then another? Maybe something to do with coaching soccer, or flag football, or the NFL? (I’d consider soccer, it’s world wide!)
Og Mandino wrote a book called, “The Richest Man in Babylon” (great book) The gist of it is, “Don’t put all your eggs in one basket.” (As I understand it.)

Soon here I will need to consider following my own advice.

Hey Ffmktg, thank you for the input. It great to hear different peoples perspective on things. I will have to agree and disagree with your comments...lol.
With a world wide audience, you are correct, the numbers are much greater but there's is NO possible way you can create a campaign that will reach a world wide audience. This is why marketing to niches are more advisable by any advertising agency or marketing company. WAR is a numbers game, MARKETING is not. A niche is basically a group of people you are targeting. I'm just bringing awareness to people local market as their niche. Marketing to a world wide audience isn t' really a niche.
The same criteria you used to lower my 6.6 million can be used to lower your world wide audience. (no computer, internet, job...etc) The biggest difference is that at the end of the day, you are competing with hundreds of other websites for this world wide audience and I'm not. I also have more ways of reaching my 6.6 million through local marketing then you have of reaching your world wide audience.
You are correct, you have to do something to STAND OUT! Marketing locally is the best way to STAND OUT because most people always go after the world wide audience and fail because of competition.
I thank everyone for the responses so far. My intentions is to make people aware that local marketing may provide the best opportunity for success.
I'm not saying that someone can't become successful in a competitive niche. I'm saying that where our local markets are today, in terms of online advertising, is where overall internet marketing was 10 years ago.
We still have the opportunity to be the authority in our local markets, even though it seems impossible to do so in the global market.
If you think about the diet industry, there is so much stuff out there and people till this date make money from it.
What you're doing and your unique take on things is a great idea. You're reinventing the wheel and I think it will capture a great amount of people out there.
I'm interested to know what you will post tomorrow, thanks for the info.
The diet/weight loss industry is very interesting. It may be even more competitive then the home based business industry. I've been told before to not waste my time creating a website targeting weight loss due to the competition.
Most of the people that are making money in the diet/weight loss industry are people who have been doing it for awhile and already have built their brand name (example Tony Horton, P90X videos). Any fitness video tony horton creates will make millions.
If I created a workout video today, I probably wouldn't be able to give it away free because of all the competition.
However, I use to play in the NFL and i'm known around this area therefore if I created a football video and promoted it locally, my chances of success increases drastically......because it's local.
Hi Terrill.
The key to this is finding a targeted niche (group of people) who identify with what you are writing about. If that ends up being 6.6m people - then that's a pretty good customer base to be targeting!!
I live in a small Scottish town with a population of around 6,000 - so you've a 1000 X head start on local marketing... you go for it mate, I'm sure you will nail it.
All the best, Mark
My target niche(group of people) is the Dallas area. There are services or products that are more specific to this area then the rest of the country....or world for that matter.
As I mention in my example, There are a lot of home based business websites on the internet that practically targets the entire world. None of them target a specific area.
If I geared my website to target only the Dallas, area, I would have a higher success rate. All the home based business jobs would mostly be jobs that are specific to this area. Because 6.6 million people live in this area, any of them who is looking to work from home would be my target.
There's no way for me to know how many of the 6.6 million is looking for a home based business just like there's no way for people who have created the home based business website to know how many people around the world actually is looking for a home based job.

Hi Terrill, website looks great. However the banner is not clickable yet. Have you worked on it to make it clickable?
Hi Eddie, making the banner clickable requires altering the code. I'm going to be searching the internet for a "How To" on doing that. I never like messing with the code because I froze my website a few weeks ago doing that. Wish there was a Plug-in for this.
Yes, definitely have a few more. I'm going to do an article on Zazzle pretty soon. It's very similiar to cafepress but they charge you less fees when you make a sale so you will probably make more money. Cafepress is just the most well known and have more tools at their disposal. Zazzle is new so have not grown in notoriety yet.
I look forward to reading it, I'm going to put the cafe press thingy on the little gems website with a link to your site for an in depth explanation, is that OK with you.
That is okay by me. Having an outside link into my website is a GOOD thing......in terms of Google Ranking. Appreciate it.
Hi Terrill, joined zazzle.co.uk today, couldn't access zazzle.com, think you may need zazzle.us .haven't done anything with it yet, going to see if there are any zazzlers on here already.
Archan
You joined already, that's awesome. I'm hoping to have an article about zazzle by tommorrow. I'm also going to be writing an article on how different money making items can be combined.
For instance, on zazzle and cafepress, you can come up with your own design.....well, I have an article about Fiver.com as well.
On fiver, you can pay $5 for someone to create a one of a kind design. I'm not much of a designer so I would go that route. I think I can spare $5 bucks.
That's a good idea, I will have to get the colored pens out lol, my next door neighbor is a builder in the week, but at the weekend, he works as a tatoo artist, he shares a partnership at purplemoontatoos.co.uk so I might ask him for some in exchange for doing an upgrade on his website which he hates.
Hi Archan, thanks for leaving a comment/question. I have not set up a cafe store but I read more than a few articles about it so I had a pretty good understanding of it before I wrote that article. Setting up store is free. Once you sign in to cafepress, it takes you through the store setup.
You can either upload one of your designs or use cafepress's design tools to create your own. You can put the design on a lot of different merchandise cafepress offers, (bags, coffe mugs, t-shirts, etc) if anyone buys merchandise with your design on it, you make money.
So you can do it all for free, sounds brilliant these are the sort of things that we need more of Terril, you are good at digging them out, any more gems
Good morning Sir, I think the site is great, you can tweak it as you go along. I left a comment on the cafe press page, you have some interesting stuff on your site, well done. I'd like to know a bit more about cafe press.
Look , I think iits excellent, if I get mine half as good I'll be happy, did you have any experience coming into online marketing, reason I ask is that it looks very professional
I honestly did not. I'm always using google search engine to find out how to do other things. I found a free banner creator at bannersnack.com yesterday and began playing around with it along with Paint. I read a few articles on how a website suppose to look. I'm on week 6 as a member but I spend a lot of time working on the webpage. Hoping it will eventually pay off.
Most people liked the banner of the .org but the overall theme of moneyheist. So I kept the moneyheist theme and updated the banner. I have 6 different banners and will probably switch them out periodically.
Hey again, I actually voted for the other one lol, that's a good idea to switch them out. A couple of little things, I would change the headings to another color other than blue and put some white space between them ... but its really looking good, keep it up :-)
Hey Digger, yea, I remember you choose the moneyheist layout and most people did, but also most people liked the banner of the .org so I just added the banner to the moneyheist theme.
I think the light blue is a good contrast to the rest of the webpage. I actually tried a few different colors but nothing fit well with the dark gray of the theme.
Really appreciate your comments. You guys have really help me improve leaps and bounds.

Hi, I've changed the .org site about 10 times in the last 2 hours so not sure which banner you are referring to but I'm trying to combine the best of both sites. Should be done shortly.
Hi Eddie, Moneyheist won it about 4 hours ago but I've been working on the site for the last 3 hours and it looking pretty good. I've combined what everyone liked about moneyheist with the banner from the .org site. Should be done shortly. I have about 6 different banners I'm choosing from.
Cool Terrill, let us know when you've got it all brushed up so that we can check it out.
Cheers!

Terill, I am new at WA and by no means an expert at building websites, but at first glance, I would visit the moneyheist.com a lot more.
Wishing you success.
For my two cents I agree with the otters, moneyheist :-) I am no expert either, I can just give opinion as a visitor , I like the layout better it looks cleaner, more user friendly and easier to navigate
To be honest, no not really, for me it had too much on it. I think it would look better without the cartoon and the computer, to be honest, to me those look scammy like a mansion and fancy car, but that is just my opinion ;-)
Hi Terill, I would definitely sign on moneyheist.com it's nice layout, well written content, the only thing missing is about me, I would like to know who is behind the screen. I like when there is a lot of info on offer and also suggestion is to write about pros and cons, in that way seams you are sure in the system presented. I signed exactly because of that.
I find it annoying when offer is on header. I also think that your home page on legithomebasebusiness.org should be written opposite - what is on top should be down under Key to success when starting an online business. Why? Readers like to read about advices.
Hope that help, I am not an expert just very visual and feel when someone just asks for money without offering true value.
Good luck!
Milena
Hi Funandeasy. Thanks for the input. It's was going to be the same content on both sites. I would just delete the one I didn't choose. I have an About me page on moneyheist. It's a subheader under privacy policy.
The few articles I've ready regarding how to increase conversions says that the most important part of the webpage is the banner because this is what the customer sees first. That's why it's advised to try to make the sale happen while you initially have their attention.
That knowledge doesn't seem to work well for you......lol but I'm still learning and I was going to see what everyone else says. It's even at the moment, 2 for moneyheist and 2 for the .org site
I like the banner, however, I might reconsider having my picture on the same banner at the same time along with the image of a robber.
That might create an unsavory image... (no offense)
I have a .jpg picture of a burger, for a fast food restaurant, and in the burger itself, there's a very small image of a dollar bill. You'd never see it if not looking for it, but it had an impact on buyers non the less.
Just a thought...
Thanks FFMKTG for that interesting perspective on the banner. Never really thought of it that way but I definitely understand where you are coming from. Very thought provoking.
Thanks Wayne. I actually posted the discussion to two classrooms. I have one for moneyheist and one for the .org site. The .org site suppose to be a little more appealing for conversions.
The domain name is also a good keyword choice. I just have to figure out how to make the banner clickable. It involves changing the code and that always scares me.

The money heist (check your spelling in the link) is more appealing to me. The legit one I found a little hard on the eyes as the text in it had a blurry feel to it.
Thanks for the critique man. The banner was hard to do. I used a free banner creator so maybe that was why it's not as clear and it should be. I'm trying to decide between the two so I can delete all content from other.
You know, I made one for a site I am designing for my day job just using Microsoft word and paint. I was going to work up a training on it, but was lacking motivation. Maybe I will do that tonight.
I used Bannersnack.com (free banner creator), then I would take a screenshot and upload it into Paint. Maybe it was the screenshot where a little picture quality was lost. If you create video, I would definitely watch it.
Will let you know. I generally do text based training at this point, though I have started to explore getting into videos.
