How or where do you get the WA Overall Ranking info in order to put it on my WA Review Page?

Thank you for the help!

@inboundmy & @Caden - Alright...I got it now! Thanks for the help! I appreciate you!

The inner ranking part of WA is not really that important to someones success in internet marketing, but I know people do like to see what there rank is everyday they wake up and check out there progress on it. I feel that they main part of WA to promote is all of our continuous help to each other due to everyone has something to offer that the other person might not know. That in turn is one of the greatest learning and teaching platforms anyone could ever ask for. Do not get me wrong unless you have another avenue you are perusing for your own review. This is just my input of how I do it.
Tommy

Okay. I guess I didn't ask the question right. Under the Affiliate Bootcamp Course, I am at the point to write a review about WA part of the information I want to put on the review is WA's Overall Ranking....where do I find that information? i.e.-Kyle's template for putting together a product review.

I think Kyle's Overall Ranking for WA on his review of WA was his own personal ranking of WA just as he gave his own personal ranking of the other products. Thank was my thinking when I read his reviews.

Ditto. The ranking is what you think it should be. Would you give WA a 9 out of 10, if so why? There may be aspects of WA you consider to be 10 out of 10 and then other areas you feel could do with improvement.
Also, how do you feel WA ranks with something else you have tried? It's that honest comparison people are interested in.
Hope this helps. Cheers, Caden

In the top right corner of your WA screen, next to your profile pic, you should see your rank number and beneath that a clickable 'My Rank'. Click that and there you will find all the pertinent information.
Hope that helped...

How do you recover your pages that you wrote for your website if you change themes? No, I didn't have a back-up because I didn't know I had too.

not sure if posting this here will help, or I'm suppose to create a new one, or if this is just me commenting on your discussion (yikes) i am having the same issue, i think, I changed my theme once I became a premium member, and when i visit the site, no info there, but yet under my pages in the admin part, all my pages are there, i can visit them and edit them too, so i'm not sure whats going on with this, any ideas?

Look at gmee's response to me. That helped me find my pages.

"I think you created a whole new site and trashed the last one. I'm going to guess that you hit the database, too. Maybe the host has a backup?

Now, IF your site was indexed in google you might be able to find the last version of it in Google's cache and then copy/paste your stuff.

Google your domain. Your listing should appear. Next to the URL is a down arrow. Click that and look at "cached." Hopefully your stuff is there.

You can also try http://archive.org/web/web.php, enter your url, and see if anything pops up. If it does, then copy/paste.

How to change themes: Log into your wordpress site, in your dashboard you will see a tab named "appearance". Hover over that and you'll see "themes" in the pop-out menu. Got there.

Any themes you have installed will be on that page. To get a new one go to the "install themes" tab, at the top, and play around with the searches and browse. Eventually you'll find one you like. You can preview it there, and install it if you like. You will then need to "activate" it.

You will now be up and running with your new theme and no pages lost. Here's a really good YouTube video that'll show you how (WA doesn't like YouTube links.) It's about 10 min: http://wotkk.com/theme.htm"

I hope this helps you like it did for me!

thanks, after 2 hours of messing around with this, the new theme that i picked out has more options, with that being said, my pages were never lost, same website-but under the settings, they considered some parts as widgets and the page widget was disabled for this upgraded theme. And then there were additional options that i can add/take off, and before i even decided, it lets you preview it before saving n seeing the website. SO Fair Warning, anyone before starting over, or trashing your site, look under the widgets, lol

Solved.

You might ask Kyle or Carson to see if you can recover it. Think we have all made bloopers we regret, we learn from, then keep on and remember to back up before changing or adding anything. ^_~

Thank you caylynn. I have had help! :-)

Hey sidekick, backups are easy to do if you have the right plugin. I use UpdraftPlus and know from experience that it works pretty good - you can get it through your plugins panel and no special training is needed for this because it is quite user friendly.

Ok, I get it, If ... in future you want to change the theme of you website... simply go to themes under settings and search, install and activate the new theme of your choice. I think you really did kill your content with what you describe. The wayback machine also has no info on your site, so I'm sorry but I think your content is a gonna!
... Learning curve ... please take a moment to smile ;-)
I will help you put it back together.
We will have to rewrite...
What were your page headings (titles.. keywords)?
Message me... we'll do this together ok!

Question for original poster unanswered after 3 years. Original poster no longer active in the community.

Can you lay out exactly what you did? Normally you should be able to change themes back and forth with no issues. As @RICH said, did you try going back to the original theme?

Did you change permalinks?
Do any posts show in the "all posts" tab in your admin area?

This is the only way I know how to change themes on my website.

I went to Websites & Hosting, under heading "Create a New Website" I clicked on the button "On a Domain I Own", Picked Option 2 (Install on Existing Domain), found the theme I wanted and following the remaining steps and I changed my theme and got rid of all my pages, posts, comments on my existing website! Everything is gone. No posts are showing and I didn't change permalinks to my knowledge.

Thank You gmee! Thank You! Thank You! I found my pages through Google's cache! Thank You AGAIN! I appreciate all your help!

Very cool. :) Good luck with the new site.

BTW - there's LOTS of "how to Wordpress" on WA and even more on YouTube.

We are going to rebuild your site one way or another, please don't despair, early days yet my friend...We'll get this done ok?!

My girlfriend made the same mistake. She called her BlueHost (her hosting company) and they recovered everything for her. I sure hope it works for you!

Thanks...but I think I am going to have to re-write all this stuff! I think I have learned a BIG lesson! (the hard way!)

I'd change the theme straight back to the original one, this should hopefully give you access to all the content you had previously. It's normally possible to change themes without any problems but I'm afraid that some developers use custom taxonomies, etc. and this can cause strange behaviour when switching. It's definitely always worth having a backup before you make a major change to your site, or install a new plugin, etc. https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/how-to-backup-entire-wordpress-blog-have-it-auto-sent-to-a-free-dropbox-account Rich.

Thanks Rich. I tried that with no success in retrieving my pages! They seem to be all gone! :'-(

Thank you for the link to that tutorial...as usual, I took notes!

My wife and I are working together i.e. learning about WA, writing articles, etc. Is there anyway to have two email addresses associated with our WA account so we can both receive

Hey I'm not sure about that but something I would suggest is to automatically forward WA emails from your email address to hers. Do you have gmail? Because you'd just have to change the settings to automatically forward her any WA emails that come to you. I know how to do that on gmail...and I'm pretty sure it's basically the same for anything else...if you give me a bit more information, I can tell you how to do it.

Thank you. I will try that to see if if works.

I am trying to get into my word press website but getting an error message. Is it down? This is what the error message is saying, "Error establishing a database connection."

ALL website are back up :) Let us know if you have any further issues and if you ever have your site go down, please report a hosting ticket via your Build My Websites page, we get to these 24/7/365 :)

We are on this guys, should be up in a few here. Looks like an botnet attack ONE of the servers and we are dealing with it. Has only been down for a short period of time and will be back up ASAP. I will update all of you.

Note: Most of you will be completely unaffected by this as it is just one server and for those of you that are seeing some downtime, please don't panic. We will have this back shortly.

Thank you Kyle for your quick response!

One of mine is down but two aren't.

Looks like all sites on this IP 54.235.194.53 are returning that error. I'm sure support is aware, but you may want to submit a support ticket too.
