I'm trying to install a plugin, but it's not accepting the API key. The product owner says my hosting must have "fsockopen()" enabled. Can someone help me with this?

Hey Kathy...here is the unhelpful response I got, I copied in my request!

GregRobs about 4 hours ago Hi, I have purchased a program called "Azon Authority".
They have some plugins I need to be able to use...I got this message:

"Thank you for quick response. I have tried but failed to activate your Azon Authority plugins. Would you please double check with your host if they have disabled “fsockopen()” for security reason? If so then ask them to enable this since this is required for activation of Azon Authority plugin."

Could I get a one time dispensation to get this done?
Thanks

Greg Website Help about a year ago Hi Greg,

We don't allow security plugins because we perform Wordpress tailored security measures that make these plugins redundant and they add unnecessary load to the server and performance reduction to your site.

Feel free to get back to us if you require any further assistance.

This could be due to WA not allowing certain connections (a security thing). I suggest you contact support explaining and ask for one-time access to install the api key. :)

Thanks Kathy, I'll do that very thing! :)

You're welcome! :)

Well, I've sent my request, let's see what happens;-)

Support are usually pretty fast responding, not sure about at the weekend though.
