Blank page after leaving comment ?
People are having problems to leave comments on my new post. After clicking 'post comment', a blank page appear and the comment didn't get through. Anyone face this problem bef
I have experienced the same problem when trying to leave comments.
What I do in this situation is to notify the member of the problem, open a Word document 'comments due to WA members' and copy and paste to it the comments I tried to leave cross referenced to the member's post link..
I also use this with members WP Spam Shield Plugin error messages that prevent comments being left.
I then revisit this document periodically to see whether I can repost the comments.
This process seems to work for me as I am not currently owing any comments to members!

Hi all, I'm thinking of creating a website in Chinese. Anyone here has any experience in doing this? How should I do my keyword research since the WA keyword tool does not supp
Hi there, as for Chinese blog, I have one: chinablogs.siterubix.com, just did it by writing directly in Chinese and the WP theme accepted.
As for keywords, I have not given any attention to it. You can not use the English keywords for a Chinese site, and for Chinese keywords, seems Baidu is the one that counted. Maybe you can find some info with Taiwanese sites.
Shall tell you more if I find something useful.

Monty
Good question. I was thinking in making a website in French or Dutch but I'll wait for that. What I do now, is targeting different countries in my website. I noticed that 80 % of my readers are from the USA but 20 % are from UK and the rest of Europe. So I added affiliate links in pounds and euro too, takes more time but worth doing so...
No experience with Chinese though but considering the amount of people that talk Chinese I think it's worth a try to focus on China :)
I have sites in Dutch, but am targetting the dutch market, I find my keywords by using the alphabet soup technic, And I use keywordphrases which come under 200 hits in Google
I'm a bit confused. If you are not directly targeting people in China, Why would you write your website in Chinese? Anyone finding your site would most likely not be able to read it. And as far as keywords go, yea you're going to run into some issues. You would have to search the keywords in English, and then transfer them to Chinese and hope for the best.
Anyway, there are plugins that will help you in this

Hi John, thanks. it's actually a personal blog and I'm targeting Chinese audience not specific only to people from China. Thanks for your advice.

The clicks and impressions of my Bing PPC ads remain at zero since I created the ad groups a couple of days ago. Is this normal? Or did I do anything wrong?
It may have something to do with your keyword selection or the price per click you have entered. Sometimes if it's a bit too low you won't get many impressions.
It's more about getting the right keywords or phrases, making sure that your ad and website is relevant to your keywords, and what you need to bid in relation to your end profit margin. For instance, if your affiliate commission on a product is say $20 and you get on average one conversion per 100 clicks to your advertisement, then if your cost is $0.20 per click you only break even. If your cost is $0.15 per click you make a profit of $5 per sale. That may not seem much but it's a 33% return in your investment. You won't get that sort of return from any bank. It's a numbers game.
Mine hit the same day.... so, I wouldn't say it's "normal" - I did have to wait for ad approval.
How many keywords do you have in your ad group?
Around 6 keywords. The delivery status is "eligible'.
How long it takes for your ad to be approved?
Okay, I started out with about 20 keywords and then over a couple of weeks, trashed the low traffic ones. Also, as Kyle suggests, I started out with a higher budget than I really wanted to .... $20/day and then lowered it later. The PPC companies (Google, Bing, Yahoo) will pay "more attention" to a higher set daily budget (initially) and gear more traffic to these campaigns. Just monitor it closely (three or four times per day) and you'll be fine. But, I would suggest increasing the number of keywords also. Start broad and then after you begin seeing traffic, trash some of the more obscure keywords and you'll discover the ones that are really working for you.
I just checked and seems that some of my keywords falls into the category of "good quality but low traffic keywords". Maybe that's why it takes longer? Will try to make some adjustment and see how.

Should I target my website to a specific country base on the popularity of search from google trend?
Why would you want to limit your potential, unless your niche is really only suited to your own area .. personally I think just create and people will decide themselves if they want to interact
The way I see it you would be limiting yourself to the rest of the population around the world!
Just a thought.
Yes the answer is an unsatisfactory, "it depends".
Basically, it depends on whether you want to do business offline as well in your local market, if the niche is most relevant to the local market or not (that way you can really niche to that customer and talk directly to them) or if it can be a product for anyone (so then you have a larger marketplace if you go global!) you see the point....
Not sure if the following link will help, but I have asked similar questions in the past. I can't find my first question which was exactly the same as yours (the answers were quite helpful! Essentially "do you want to be a big fish in a small pond or a small fish in a big pond - both have their merits!!).
The second question was slightly different but still relevant and I have attached below. Still maybe the answers will help? Help on specific location niches?
Yes as Shawn says, really it deoends in what your purpose is and the niche...You can shape it in this manner, certainly.
I would consider something where you possibly focus it on a region or country, but also have something that would appeal to a wider audience...
Exception may be if you were going after a local audience, say a service or product in a region of a particular country...This may make it harder to do well with affiliate sales though, since your sudience would be smaller...
But it is up to you you of course...Your imagination and creativity along with research to make sure you have a chance to rank in Google...
Good luck!!
Dave

That really depends on the niche and where you will be wanting to be doing business. If it will be world wide, I would just base it in your own country
