3 Years of Wealthy Affiliate, what have I been up to?
Thank you, Kyle and Carson,
for creating this opportunity for me and so many others around the world. This community and education is really the best experience I ever had in my whole life!
I got my batch!
I have served the community as ambassador since November 02, 2014. Besides the #1st and the #2nd rank, I have had all Ambassadors ranks, from 3-25 the past 32 months.
As I went premium after 2 days, I am now a member for 3 years and 2 days, and although I didn't get any dedication batch, (still waiting for it) I like to thank you all! I hope my batch will arrive in the next couple of days:)
Thank you all for trusting and following me
My Earnings
I do get a lot of questions of people who want proof of earnings made with Wealthy Affiliate. And I can tell you that much that I am in the green numbers. As I began from scratch, as a total nitwit 3 years ago, it even doesn't matter to me whether I have made money or not, I gained a tremendous amount of knowledge, friends, and appreciation.
I have paid a total of membership fee and domain name costs of $1242,94 and I have saved up already for the next couple of annual Wealthy Affiliate memberships and domain name spendings. That's all I want to say about this.
Thank you all for:
- Your friendship and trust
- The wonderful lessons I learned here and from you all
- The safe environment and the great opportunity
Today, I received a really applicable quote of John W. Newman

We always remember the important dates in our lives, anniversaries, birthdays, when we got married, when we lost our virginity..... and when we joined WA!
HA!
As a prominent member, I am quite curious as to how you are doing 3 years on, but I am not rude to ask a specific number. You are in the green and that's great, may I ask if you are earning a livable income ala given up your regular job and working on your sites full time?
Personally month 19 for me, just about half the time you have been a member - I am also in the green, but not profiting yet. I reinvest 100% into outsourcing so site can be hands off an expecting my site to generate enough money to be able to support the outsourcing of content for a second site by the end of this year, close to 2nd-year anniversary at WA).
I do stress though I do this full time as I have an income source that I live from that requires zero seconds work per year.
It's not likely, I will give up my regular job, even when I have enough income. I love my job! You know, I am in daycare, the children I take care of came here when the where between the 0 and 4 years of age, the first one will become 12 this year, and will leave. They are part of my family. Even when he is not using the daycare, I still feel responsibility when it's raining cat's and dogs to drive him to his new school, 8 miles from here, when his mom is working. I have a very good relationship with all parents, and the moms, I have adopted as my own children, and the children are as my own grandchildren. They all call me granny (Beppe in Frisian)
I am not focussed on making money, I just want to create beautiful websites, and I am focussed on quality blogs. I can see my income rise, and I am very confident it will become a nice addition when I am ready to retire (12 years from now). I just love what I am doing right now.
I know I am in a very luxury position, to have a job I love and to have the time I need
Thank you kindly for the reply. A job you love and hobby you adore that also as a bonus brings in some money also is a very enviable position to be in.
Well done :-)
Congratulations!!!!!
You are a wonderful supporter of all of us beginners. You share your learnings and experience freely, just like you are taking our hands and helping us through the maze!
It is encouraging to know that you began, like most of us, with little or no knowledge and look at you now!!!!!!!
Thank you for all your contributions.
I always look to see what you are sharing with us, because it is guaranteed to be helpful!
Thank you, Loes.
Susan :)
Congrats Loes, it has been wonderful getting to know you and to see your skillset grow and evolve over this three years.
There are definitely ups and downs with any business and through time and as you continue to move forward, I know you are going to continue to see more and more "breakthroughs" in your business.
That is quite the network of friends you have as well! It goes to show how respected you truly are here within the community.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend and happy 3 year!
Thank you, Kyle, it has always been my pleasure to be here and assist others. You and Carson have created an amazing education and community, and I am very glad to be part of it.
Have a great weekend too with your lovely family:)
Loes - That's a wonderful quote from Vera Wang.
Funny story, Vera was a client of mine when I worked in high end retail furniture in the late '90s.
At the time, I didn't know who she was until mu colleague later told me. .
We sat down and had some deep philosophical and design conversations!
Seriously Loes, you should have got your dedication before me because you've been here a couple of weeks longer. It must be a glitch. There was a slight hiccup with my dedication badge because I switched from credit card to PayPal so perhaps that's similar to what happened in your case. Ask Kyle or Carson to sort it out.
If anyone deserves recognition, it's YOU.
No, ever since I have been here I paid with credit card, never made the change to PayPal. I am waiting for Kyle to react:)
Sorry, I've actually been here a little longer than you. I joined at the end of June and upgraded to premium 5 days later.
Yes, it's a little hard to see but I got the badge a couple of days before I made the next annual payment
Now I remember. It's got something to do with going from monthly to yearly or changing the method of payment. Carson sorted it out for me when I didn't have a badge or it said 6 months instead of 2 years.
Nah, you won't have to wait that long. Send Carson a private message and he'll fix it up as soon as he can.
Congratulations, Loes. You really are a can do-er! You are right - there is no need to prove what income is happening - the success, or progressing ever upward, is already evident just from your posts, training and contributions. You've left me in your dust, but that is not the end of my story, either - anyway, this is about you, not me, and I just want to say that you are one of the very bright lights here, so well done.
Congrats on reaching the 3 year mark Loes, and I have to say what others are saying or should be saying:
You add a LOT of value to this site with the sharing of your experiences and research through the salient posts, the training, advice, and just positive nature you bring to us all...
Quit blushing, you deserve all these accolades!
Have a great day!
Go celebrate...It is 5 oclock somewhere - : P
Dave : )
Haha, thanks Dave, you do make me blush, and I will take up the cheers, but not before lunchtime here;)
Hi Loes, I see you are a couple of months older than me! I had to take some breaks though so it is always very interesting to me to see how much people achieve in here when they don't take breaks and just keep going. I will be making some muffins later on and adding in some apple, a tip I've learned from you, along with the WA training :)
I read your post with alot of interest because am heading to one year now as a premium member. I really need to congratulate you for your great achievement and dedication for a period of three years without giving up.
This post is a great motivation to me and others who are far much younger than you here. You are my mentor!

Congrats Loes ! I know you have helped me quite a bit :)
I do have a couple questions that I hope you will answer for me. Not that I want actual numbers but do you make enough money from your site that you could say it is your main source of income? I guess with that said I should ask if that your site was created to be your source of income lol. I only ask because I guess if you created it purely for enjoyment then the money factor wouldn't matter. lol
Im only asking because Im hopng to be able to create enough income from my site to enjoy life and travel. I pretty much work full time on my two sites and just curious if it will be worth it in the long run.
I started creating purely for enjoyment, and I still enjoy it very much. I have an additional fluctuate income from my websites, my most steady and recurring monthly source is Jaaxy, I advise you to write a great Jaaxy report. My WA referrals went yearly, and then you have to wait for a year before it pays out again;)
