Hi there everyone,

How's everything?

There's a 5th column added in my WP back office comment section, it says 'GDPR Accepted On', all the 400+ comments are marked n

Do you have any recent comments? It might change these days. I have seen that to but did not check back after the final update time. It's probably not a concern. Good luck,

tom

Will check and give you update here. I hope so too. Thank you.

That only applies to comments left on or after 25th May and they've ticked the box on the comment form. Anything before 25th May is OK.

Thank you Marion. Sorry for the late response.

Is there any repercussion if I buy a domain name for later use? Say I just want to save that name for myself. :)

Thanks for your thoughts,
Jenni

No repercussions at all. Just take note of renewal dates. And especially delete dates. Delete dates = domain name deleted from registrar. And may take longer to re-acquire.

Thank you and noted!

No repercussions as long as you renew every year when it's expiring....Go for it! I think picking domain names can be fun.
I once had livelaughlove.com and people were asking me to buy it all the time. I later sold it for $1,100. :)

Oh wow, that's awesome! This thing we're doing right here is really fun. I just love everything about this. :)

More blessings!

Jenni

Well, I certainly hope it's okay. My husband and I own nearly 30!

Sure, it's fine. It only costs a few bucks and while you may let some go away, you will find others inspirational and one day build them out.

Wow, that's awesome. Thanks for the info Jeannine. Yes, I've got some ideas which I'm putting aside to focus on building my first niche site. But I can't help get excited so I want to purchase the name already, lol.

Appreciate your response!

Jenni

I will say go for it. It ensures is i your possession before some else takes it..

Duly noted Rabia. Thank you!

Just start shopping :)
I buy "brilliant" domain names every now and then. Some are still brilliant when I start to use them, some not so much and they will be left to die.

Thanks for sharing Mr. J, :)

No.. and later it may be gone.
I have one in waiting tooo

Noted Fleeky, thank you! :)

None at all, as far as I know--I have a couple I just wanted for later use!

Jeff

Okay great! Thanks, Jeff. :)

If you consider the opportunity cost of hoarding and storage worth it, go for it!

Noted Michael, thank you. :)

if you buy the domain here, you purchase it for one year for 13,99...it is up to you if you use that domain straight away or later...but in one year another 13,99 will be due, no matter if you use it or not

Thanks for the info, Volker. :) Appreciate.

I could be wrong but I don't think it is a problem

Yes, Melissa, now I know. :) Thank you!

Sorry for the late arrival lol

I would complete the Title and Description for sure. Keep in mind that when you scroll down initially, the Title field appears to be populated, but it is usually grayed out. If you go to Appearance > Posts and/or Appearance > Pages, do you see a Title there in SEO Title? If not, it's because that field was actually grayed out in the page/post. So it's always good to enter that Title and Description while in the page/post and Publish - or Save as Draft if you're not ready to publish. Hope this helps! :-)

Hi Jenniline!
Go through this training here.
You should focus on the SEO description as this is the snippet the search engines will display in the search results.

The SEO title is automatically pulled from your post title which should already be optimized for good results. David

I'm not sure if this is fine, I'm really new in this online stuff so what I'm doing is to go over the entire certification courses before actually doing some tasks related to m

You've already gotten some great feedback, Jenniline.

You don't have anyone standing over you, dictating what, how,
and when you should do things, so you can decide what works best.

On the flip side of the coin, you should take into account that Kyle and Carson have 20 + years of experience between the two of them (actually, I think it's more like 30+ yrs); the lessons and tasks were set up in a particular order for a reason.

If you learn better by reading through material first, that's fine. I would just encourage you to make sure to go back and make sure to complete all the tasks, even if you think you know the information.

I came to this platform without any knowledge of affiliate marketing, but since I was able to set my own pace, I went through each lesson and completed all the tasks before moving forward. There were some days when I was able to complete a few lessons at once, while other times, it took me several weeks to complete one lesson.

All the best to you, Jenn as you move through the Certification.

Thanks Veronica, will keep this in mind. Appreciate! : )

The beauty of working for yourself is you can do things how you want. In terms of how you complete the courses, there are those like yourself who like to get an overview of what is necessary before diving in and starting the work. Others prefer to work and learn. So to answer your question yes it is okay.

Thanks Harvey. Appreciate! :)

Best is to do the related tasks... unless you have enough knowledge and just grasp wHat fails...

Thanks Fleeky, noted that.:)

You can take it any way that works best for you Jenni. That's the beauty of our program here!

Thanks Michael! Let me see. Appreciate your response. :)

As you go through the training, you will see that the tasks required to be completed mean that you will be building your website.

This is a good thing in a lot of ways, as it will get you familiar with how WordPress works and how to go about setting things up...

Most certainly you can approach the training from any direction, so there is nothing saying you cannot do as you are asking.

For me personally, I just want to get things done and not have to backtrack, as it wastes time.

It already takes a while to get a solid program in place, doing all the things in order and as the training suggests, so that is just my take hehe..

Whichever route you take, best of luck and have fun!

Dave : )

Thanks Dave, yep, it totally makes sense to do the tasks as the course progresses. Thanks again. :)

You are free to do as you please, only you will know. I have changed niches and went back and unchecked all the tasks to start over, very similar to what you are asking and no one seemed to notice or care.

I just wanted to know other's thoughts about this, how to learn it the better and more efficient way so as to be able to use time wisely. Most people here know better than I do in this area. Thank you for this. All the best!

You need to complete each task as you go through each lesson Jenni. With each lesson you'll have tasks to complete. By doing this you'll be building your website in the correct way.

Hmmm, so finishing the Certification course can really take longer time since for instance, writing an article can take time to complete. Even my "About Me' took me I think 2 days to finalize, lol!

But you know better, so let me see.

Thanks for this.

All the best,
Jenni

Yes it all takes time Jenni. This is a long term project. The aim is to build a solid and sustainable online business. Some posts may take several days to research and write. There is no rush though. Better to do it the right way and the training has been designed with this in mind.

Have a great day!

Kevin

Duly noted Kevin. Appreciate your inputs. :)

I'm sure people have different views on this, but in my opinion just go for it. You know best how you learn, so it is not always easy or relevant to do everything in the same order as in the training (or any training or course). Even though the certification training is well organized and progresses step by step, It is not that you're doing something wrong or that you will miss something crucial if you skip something for now. You said you have taken notes, so you at least know what you're skipping! :)

Hi Sanna, thanks. Yes, I'm keeping notes, it's just that in some specific tasks, I have to force myself to do it and does not come naturally. So I started to not do some tasks and go over the training to have an overall idea. i just wanna know other's thoughts about it. Thank you for this. :)

You're welcome! :) Just wanted to add that I have the same "problem" too that some things don't come naturally. I think it's a great way to just read/watch some parts first and return to them later when you have a bigger picture. At least that's what I do sometimes, and it works quite well.

Yeah, true that. :) However, it also makes sense to just follow the tasks as they come. Anyways, let me see going forward. Thanks Sanna, good luck and all the best to us!

Sure, both ways have their advantages. All the best to you too Jenni!

Can I change the theme of my published free website using WA templates? When i go to Dashboard, it shows only Word Press available themes. Thanks in advance!

The theme templates are provided by wordpress.org (not WA). There are thousands to choose from so use the theme filter to narrow down your choices

Thank you Marion! Went through your training, very helpful. More success!

Not sure what you mean by WA templates. In WordPress everything comes from the foundation of a theme and then within the pages and posts you can create templates if this is what you are getting at.

WA does not have any published themes that I am aware of but I could be wrong.
Hope this helps.
Damo

Hi, appreciate for your quick response.

When I created the site from SiteBuilder, there are 2700 + available themes, I chose one, and then created my website. I have chosen some favorite themes also from there. Now I want to change the theme and use one of my favorites. However, when I edit the theme from Word Press dashboard, themes available are those from Word Press. Is it possible to get the theme from SiteBuilder?

Note: I'm not sure if I'm asking the right question. :D

We should not have any restrictions with any WordPress themes that I am aware of. I am not familiar with sitebuilder so I am not sure what themes of theirs you are referring too. However, if it is in fact a WP theme you should not have a problem installing it.
That said, you might want talk to support. Go to Site Rubix -> site support. Good Luck, sorry I wasn't more help.
Damo

Hi Damo, no you've been very helpful, I appreciate your responses. Maybe I was just overwhelmed with thousands of themes from WordPress and choosing all over again, ;D. I get it over now though. Noted about the site support. And please don't get tired of helping us newbies. All the best!

No problem Jenn keep up the hard work.
