Hi Jackie - I use Yoast SEO plugin but I don't use it for sitemaps.
I use the plugin Google XML Sitemaps and it works like a charm!
I have just installed in on two sites today after upgrading to https://
Maybe you know about Kyle's training about Sitemaps, but in case you are not aware, here is the link of training. Setting Up & Submitting a Sitemap to Google Webmaster Tools
Great thanks ValerieJoy. I will add the Google XML Sitemaps plugin. BTW I went for Yoast as it meant just having one plug-in that apparently did everything.

I have transferred my domain over to WA. The status of my site shows as LIVE. However, when I go to the SiteManager, my website is not listed. I can access my website outsid
Hi Ianovan132,
As littlemama mentioned, you will need to contact Site Support.
Also, check out Nathaniell's link below.
I am now all up and running.
All the best. Let me know how you get on.
Jackie
Yes, Jackie. I have contact the support and they fix it right away. Thank you for your help
Hi Nathaniel
Why my website is not listed?
What did I do wrong?
I need real support not to send me back to list of questions.
Thank you.
Bernard
So you go to your domain name and the site you built on WA is there, but when you go to SiteManager it's not listed? Is that correct?
Ok then I'd contact site support. This may be a problem on their backend that people in the community aren't going to be able to help you with. Sorry

Seems like support is on holidays :-( I have used the link you sent. I say 'yes' to the following question "Is this question related to your website?" and the follow on question 'Choose a domain" is disabled... I will try again later.
Maybe double check what you've done against this and see if there is maybe a step you missed or if maybe it will point you in the right direction. Your Own Domain, Your Brand.TRAFFIC

I'm a little confused about how are sites get ranked. (I may be a little impatient!!) Am I correct in saying that to get ranked you need to have great, up-to-date content with
Sounds like you're doing things correctly so far. It just takes time to rank. Also, keep in mind that when searching for your rank, do not use quotes, since that can give you false data. I’m Really On Google Page 1 Position 1 – Can You Say The Same? I don't think you need to hire someone to update your content. Save your money for now! Or it might be better spent having them create NEW content for you so you can build a solid foundation of traffic with lots of articles published.
Dear Jackie, have you heard about "Low Fruit Keywords"? It's something that can help you get ranked well on Google and other search engines. You can learn about it here: Understanding the Low Hanging Fruit How to Get Keywords Ranked With Low Hanging Fruit Remember that add QUALITY content on a regular basis should be your first priority always and then design your quality content with low fruit keywords and you're good to go. Also when you add a new content don't forget to share it on social networks as well as request comment from WA community for it. Google ranks content which has more comments better because they got people attention.
Best,
Ali
Thanks Ali-M. Yes. I did use the low hanging fruit concept. After I posted this, I was updating my blog and googled for something to boost its content. My Google+ account came in at position number 4!! I linked my Google+ account to my website as suggested by Kyle in one of his videos!! !! Way to go..so happy!!!
You doing it right, Jackie but you also really need patience too. Google will take its time with new sites to rank.
You need to show Google that you are serious and not just a "one-time deal".
Keep up your good work, follow the training here at WA and you will soon see the improvement in Google ranking.
All the best
Sylvia
Thanks Sylvia. Shortly after posting this, I googled for something to add content to a post of mine and my Google+ account which is linked to my website, came in at position number 4!!!
Thanks onmyownterms. Yes. I'm adding more content before I concentrate on making money!!! In fact, I'm checking that my content is being ranked, then I can start to look at making money. 1 step at a time.

Does great, quality, lengthy content mean better ranking?

I am having trouble adding google alerts to my site. When I click copy address from the alert, I just get the URL. However, I can copy the alert to my Google+ account as ther
Google Alerts are one of the best things that I learned from Kyle while I have been here. I basically use them as ideas. When I find something I like I just rewrite it or I assign someone to rewrite it. Copying it would be plagiarism.
Yes. Google alerts are great!! I will consider rewriting snippets of those alerts I find interesting to keep my content up to date. Thanks for this Izpowashere!!
Google alerts are not something you add to your website. They are requests to Google to alert you to something you are expecting to see on Google.
For more info type "Google alerts" into the white search box at the top of the page and you'll get a ton of guidance. Here is just one example Google Alerts 101
Thanks Chris. Seeing that I am able to share to Google+, Twitter and the likes, I thought I could share it on my site. Maybe a newsfeed widget might be what I need then?

I was wondering if it is possible to add the most recent google alert - of my choice - to my website - and if so, how can I achieve this?
Thanks
"related articles" can be done with a widget. If you want to pull "related content", I don't know of a specific plugin that does that. however, I know of a specific ad service that will pull some posts from you and other advertisements from outside sources creating a mix.
That service is called content.ad and works kind of like Google Adsense for making money.
The best thing to do is to 'curate' the content - write about it in your own words, citing the source and linking to it if you desire (linking will cause traffic to leave your site, however).
I'm not sure I understand. You just posted a link to the sites under that 'Related Articles' subhead in your post.
