I've done this before, more than once, a while back. Since then I've forgotten how and both Namecheap and WA have changed since then.

Not like I'm a last minute Nancy but

Is it only the website hosting that's expiring in Namecheap and not the domain name registration? Or, both?

Both. I moved the site to WA and am all set now. Thanks.

Oh, great to hear that. Good luck and wishing you success in this platform. :)

I remember Namecheap has a chat, and they are very very friendly and helpful, when you get stuck half way, you can use that

Thanks Loes.

Steph answers you here!

Thank you Michael

Thanks, Mike - I need to do this with a couple of my domains too :-)

I was on the dashboard of one of my sites today and noticed an article by WordPress regarding building landing pages. See here for reference:

https://semperplugins.com/h

Creating your own LP is best!

I'm using "elementor" plugin for my blogs and landingpages.

I haven't use that particular one. But you can create your own. That's assuming that you have an autoresponder in place.

If you go to the plugins section and click ad new plugin, look for the plugin that says beaver builder. This may solve any issues concerning your landing pages.

Aweber has a 30 day free trial that you could try for your automation. Follow the link below.

If I have a post that is fitting for both WA and for a website I have where am I better off putting the post and why?

Good question and good answers.

Website - always.

Hello my friend and so nice to see you again - nee a long time!!!

the most important is your website so post it there OK
Then write a blog and put the URL from your website in the blog too WA and ask a person to visit - day both sites covered

Paul

Nice to see you again too Paul, it's definitely been a long time, and painfully slow for me.

Thanks for the insight and kind words.

You are welcome

paul

Both are indexed by Google and therefore attract visitors, can't you tweak the words? And place the post on both accounts?

I do rewrite posts that I have place here, use different words, tweak my keywords, and place them here and on my website

Do it all the time as well Loes

paul

Thanks Loes. I am always paralyzed by fear of duplicating content or otherwise screwing stuff up. I'm my own worst enemy recently. lol

I'll do both, just a little differently then.

Thanks again!!

When I can not write it differently, I use pieces of screenshot text on WA :)

Ohhhh that's super slick Loes, so cool!!!

I wish I could double like this Loes!

Thank you, you're welcome:))

Post to your website, no doubt about it. Your post on your website will make you money. There is a chance that your blog in Wa will get referrals but not as much.

Thanks Belden!

Website takes priority, got it. Referrals are great but money is better for me today. lol

Thanks again!!

You're most welcome:)

I was just browsing through some PLR books and articles on a site called PLR PRIVATE LABEL RIGHTS and was wo

Hey E, sounds like we are rocking ?

Yep, rockin' along all the time! :-)

This is one of the best group discussions I encountered. The value of learning sometimes sprouts from the ideas of the direct users. Super thanks for bringing this subject matter. Thanks too to the respondents because of their feedback.Valuable info!

Thanks Coney, I learn a ton from the community too. :-)

We are the best of the best!

E

I have used "resell rights weekly" in the past. PLR material isn't always the best quality and ususally need to be updated to be of much value but there are some Gems if you put in the time to review what's available..before buying any PLR material always familiarize yourself with the license rights.
for example here is license rights for a booklet i give away
but i had to update and add some information to make the book more informative.

Licence Terms

[ Yes ] Can sell the eBook to your customers. (personal and resell rights).
[ Yes ] Can be translated into other languages and sold.
[ Yes ] Can include within website flips (personal rights only).
[ Yes ] Can give away eBook (PDF Format).
[ Yes ] Can be used as a bonus (PDF Format).
[ Yes ] Can include eBook in membership site (PDF Format).
[ Yes ] Can be combined with other offers or sold as a package.
[ No ] Cannot sell Private Label Rights to customers.

They are good for lead generation purposes, i really don't resell them
Remember give value first

Great stuff Frank, thank you kindly. :-)

E

Hi E, the comments made by XinZhang and PjGermain are spot on. Usually they are years old, been sold thousands of times, and have to be rewritten almost completely so, you are just getting an idea to write with !! The other risk is Google can now pick up on
plagerisism , so all in all bud,it's not worth the money or time !

I see that Pete and I am looking for a giveaway to obtain an email sign up to start a list. I appreciate your help, thank you. :-)

E

How about writing your own bud ? I don't know what your niche is, but maybe think of 10 topics/tips etc you could include in a simple ebook. Making sure you make the offer to arouse the curiosity so they simply cannot resist, and provide their details in the box. Keep the topics really broad, so as not to reveal all of your info in the ebook, leaving nothing to keep them on your niche site.

Wikipedia defines PLR as "In internet marketing, private label rights is a license where the author sells most or all of the intellectual property rights to their work. The basic premise is that the license permits buyers to re-brand the content under their own name and brand (excluding copyright). In general practice this means that the product can be modified, sold, resold or re-purposed in many different formats."

The problem I see is that unless you want to do significant modifications it would be duplicate content if you wanted to post it on your site. However, if you just want an ebook to give away if someone joins your email list, you could probably use it with only slight modifications , I think, such as putting your name on it and replacing any hyperlinks in the ebook with your own or something. However, if people see you giving away the same ebook at 50 other people it doesn't help them see you as an authority, so maybe even there a rewrite would be good if you are planning on a wide distribution.

Sincerely,

Xin

I agree with you 100% here.

Posting PLR stuff on your own sites (without doing MAJOR modifications) will probably get you on Google's radar for duplicate content. Chances are 100s of other people bought the same content and published it somewhere.

Now giving away PLR stuff could be an idea but personally I wouldn't do that. Most PLR is junk, rehashed, outdated and irrelevant information. Since I want to offer only the best to my subscribers I'd rather spend my time creating something unique and of quality for them.

Excellent Xin, thank you!

E

Hey E, Yep, I used Private Label stuff in the past. The only thing I would use PLR articles for is an idea. They have to be totally rewritten.

Now, the PLR books are cool, As Izpo pointed out, they are great for free giveaways. You can put your name in them as the author and put in affiliate links and ads wherever you wish. I use them for signups to my newsletters and free monthly gifts to my readers.

P.S. the problem with many of the PLR things is that they get outdated Fast! So, you might want to avoid some kind of "lifetime" membership thing.

Thank you Peej! This is information helps me a lot. I am looking for a giveaway for an email sign up and now I have a better handle on what I need to look for and stay away from. :-)

E

I haven't heard of it but now you have me intrigued so I have to check it out.

Cool.

E

I have not used PLR. I was not even sure what it was until I did a little research. It looks intriguing. However, beware of the risks. Check out this article:
https://www.plagiarismtoday.com/2011/03/23/the-dangers-of-private-label-rights-plr-content/
--Larry

Thank you kindly Larry, I am taking a look at the article right now. :-)

E

Yes I have... Primarily Private Label Rights for give away items or for things I want to claim as my own. In my online bookstore I have rights to 15000 books that are all PLR. The bad thing about that is I pay monthly for a gold subscription and my store is not up yet.

I could see where paying a monthly fee and not having your store up yet could be cumbersome on the checkbook. How long until you get your store up?

So, I am looking to use a PLR as a giveaway for an email sign up. Is that a good idea, do you recommend one place over another to get PLR's for this use?

Thank you for your help, I'd love to take a look at your store when you have it up and running. Let me know.

E

It's not a wordpress site but it will be up starting in February. I only pay $19 per month for several thousand items. I have used it in SFI as giveaways and in my coffee distributorship.

Hi man - never heard of this as I am not that advanced yet - best regards Paul

Thanks Paul, I'm not that advanced yet either but I can put on a good show huh. lol

like your style number 4!!!

I'm thinking same as Marion. I tried to put a link in my messages for Black Friday. I couldn't make it work (in a hurry) so I told my visitors to paste it to their browser. It was pretty ugly. Janelle

Check out Bishops response below. Thanks

I agree with Mike1942, send email to yourself the links should show up.

Thanks Dawn.

Your link do not show up when creating, but it will in your messages. You can test it by signing up yourself for a test run. That is how it had worked for me. Hope that helps.

Bishop

Thanks Bishop, I'll give that a try.

Send it to yourself via email and then try the links. Just copy and paste! Have a good weekend Eric!

It works that way Mike, but when I paste it into the messages window the links change to plain text.

Is there no way of editing the text there, back to what you want it to look like?

Yes, I can edit it in the window and see if that works, thanks Mike. :-)

That didn't work Mike, thanks for helping though. :-)

Shot my mouth noff again! These messages com backwards and I can't get use to it!

Glad to be of help Eric

lol - they do get out of order some times Mike, thanks for your help. :-)

This wasn't much of a help if it didn't work. It just is the way I bumble through computer issues, If anyone can kill a computer, I can!

I do the same thing Mike, and everything is helpful it's just that your help didn't match my problem lol.

I am going to put up another Blog today for something to do, since my website isn't ready yet. Maybe this will more explain to you who I really am. Hope you like!

Awesome Mike, let me know when it's ready, I look forward to reading it.

I am working on building my second training now. It's fun stuff!

E

Hey that is awesome Eric! I couldn't train a fly, so to speak. I wouldn't know where to start. All I know is what I know and I write about it and write out of frustration with this inactivity of the human race!

I hear you there Mike!

Building a training is not much more than writing a blog. Just a few more steps is all. And I am certain a gentleman of your age and experience has some great wisdom to pass along to others. I see it in your blogs, so don't shy away from passing that greatness along to others. :-)

Well, I just do it the "natural" way and voice my opinions instead of calling it "training". It is more natural for me. People can always take from it what they like and lump the rest!

lol - that's a great strategy too Mike, I like it!

I'm not too sure but I don't think you can include links in your signup messages.

Marion there were links in the ones I received when I came to WA which is where I got the idea.
