I would like to make one of my posts as the main website page but it seems only pages not posts are allowed to become the main website page
What you need to do is 2 things.
1) Make sure you are not using a 'static page' as your home page. It needs to be a blog in order for this to work.
2) Make the post in question 'sticky' - this is an option for the post, you can find it on the right hand side of the edit page. Note: You can only have one sticky post.
Once you've made the post sticky, all the other blog posts will flow in their specified order beneath it. This allows that blog post to be the main post on the page indefinitely (until you make it not sticky and place a different post there).

I installed SumoMe a couple months ago and just recently I have noticed that they have placed on popup on my site which last about 5 seconds of advertisements that are related
You might be talking about 'Discover'. It's an option you can choose where you either have a popup at the bottom right of your post or a grid at the end of similar content. Its to help drive traffix to your site. If you want, you can disable it. Just go into SumoMe and click the on the Crown and turn Discover off.
I use it. It shows up as a grid below my posts and pages. You choose which of your posts you want other to see on their grids or popups.
The pop up is supposed to collect your visitors email and send it to your auto-responder have you set that up ?
I run SumoMe are most of my websites. They all seem fine. Which site are you referring to? Link?

Hi Frank, had a look at your theme, but can't see the actual css stylesheet, just the php. However, you can change the size of your headings, color, etc, in the customizer's custom css.
In the images attached are a couple of examples: Changes I made to the custom css and how they look on the page. Obviously, these are only examples and you would change the font/size/color to whatever you want.
Once you are happy with the changes, save and publish, go to your text editor and insert the html code wherever you want the headings to appear on your page or post, for example Your Text
. You can also change the font and size of your text if you need to. Hope this helps.
Install a plugin called "Google Fonts." You will have an extra entry when you install>>>activate>>>>Appearance>>>cunstomize>>> You will now have a tab called "TYPOLOGY." Happy hunting.
