I am being asked to verify my website by Affiliate Window. I have verified my site using Google Webmaster, but I am at a loss as to where I can follow the below inst
Note: If you use option #1 as Loes suggests, be sure to keep a copy of the verification code snippet. Any future theme updates will overwrite the file change that you've made which will require you to re-edit the header.php file to insert it again.

If you go onto an affiliate network such as shareasale and in their merchants type travel (or any other related words). Then you'll end up with a bunch of merchants and products ranging from travel insurance, travel maps, equipment, clothing. There's even a company that specialises in travelling with your dog. If you've rented a motor home then see if the rental company have an affiliate program. Same if you have bought it. Anything you had to buy in order to start out will probably have an affiliate program.

I'm afraid I don't have any great sites to share, but two possibilities come immediately to mind. You talk about traveling in a motor home. What about products to make that more efficient, functional or comfortable? You also have 2 young children. I would think educational resources and supplies would be essential.

Both of you should check out a company called KHM. They are a travel agency that has an 'affiliate type' relationship with home-based travel agents. You own you business, but you participate in all the big booking programs through the KHM umbrella.
I'm in a similar situation. My blog is travel-related and I also have Amazon affiliate links and a WA referral banner. I have Google adsense but I'm not counting on that on generating income.

I've removed the link, but left the title of the website. It would clearly be self-defeating to ask for assistance and not have a reference point for people to look at.
It's not a ploy to get more visitors to the site.

You can place your links in your Profile, and if people are interested, they know to find them there. That's how it's supposed to work. :)
That makes sense and my sites are there, but I have three so need to be explicit. Just checking having the name without it being a link is within the rules.

Thanks for all the replies and encouragement. it does appear that chrome will promote your google+ posts to sit in the first page of Google, but only you see this.
THEREFORE always use incognito if your checking your site for page ranking

Congratuation for getting on Google page One.It means you have folloed all the suggestions to get to page 1
This may not be real, check incognito to be sure. Typically such G+ ranking is just the matter of what browser has in memory.
Checked incognito and as you say and I thought it appears the chrome browser promotes my google+ posts.
So I'll keep on going.
