Would an 8k word post be more beneficial for SEO vs breaking it up into 4 differnet posts and linking them together?

So, I want to write a post that will have a LOAD of i

In my research, I have found that people who rank in the top ten on Google have a least 2000 words in an article. Number one is consistently 4500 words or more.

However, 8000 is a bit extreme and readers my not make it to the end. I think if you split in in half, it would be amazing.

This a difficult question. My first thoughts are a post that long will lose readers interest? If seems people want fast information. But some of this would depend on the subject matter. I think four shorter posts would be better. With one keyword per post. Will follow this thread and see what other community members think. A great resource would be Robert A. he understands this type of question like the back of this hand.

Thanks for your response.

SEO wise I would think the longer post would make sense. As for the readers losing interests, even if I break it up it would not change that.

Personally, I like all my information in one place instead of a "click here for more" type situation.

But, I am not writing for me. Trying to figure out how I would manage a "Part 1,2,3,4" Hmmmmm.

Please run this by Robert A. I think like you, but I am not sure this is the way to go.

I am about to start writing some content that will require me to take some screen shots. I cannot, for the life of me, figure out how to take a screen shot on my laptop.

Hi Brandon,

There are many tools that you can use to take screenshots. One free tool being Monosnap which you can find if you do a google search for free.

Here is a tutorial: If you search "Screenshot" in the main search at the top of the page, you'll find all kinds of training on this here within WA :)

Carson

I found an option that works, but I will check out Monosnap. Looking for something simpler.

Thanks

Thanks for all you do Carson.

Mark

Monosnap is AWESOME! Thank you very much!

We find Jing is the easiest option.

Hi Brandon, if you have snipping tool you can use that.

This is really driving me nuts! No matter how much space I put between paragraphs, headings, etc. it smashes it all together on my website.

I did watch some training on

You can use a Spacer block and choose the amount of space you want to insert.

Thanks Marion

Sorry but I use Thrive Themes and Thrive Architect. It's so much better than any of the other editors, including WP Classic, Gutenberg and Site Content.

You just specify the spacing you want for paragraphs, headings etc and it's automatically applied.

Yep ... It's a lot easier ... For $67

Use the text editor with the following CSS code

This is a paragraph.

This is another paragraph.

The second paragraph will be pushed down with 20px (change it according to your needs)

I will keep this in my back pocket. I went to the text editor and immediately got the brain pain.

I will use this technique if the classic editor ever goes away.
Thanks for making me smarter, AGAIN!

Bot Gutenberg and the Classic Editor will allow you to use CSS formatting rules in Text Mode

I have a GED and work in construction. I am not a scientist, Lol

How exactly will CSS formatting rules help me without doing techie stuff?

What are the benefits of learning this?

Hey Man ... I know about this code... However it leads me to one question that maybe you know the answer to.

Once i go into the text editor and use code, for example the

code

If I go back to the Visual Editor ... and then go again back to the Text Editor .. the code is gone.. like i never did it..

It seems to undo my work when I leave the Text Editor.

Any slues my friend?

Chris

After saving/publishing the changes?

Honestly, I don't really understand the question Brandon ...

I haven't told you that you should start learning CSS ...

I gave you a simple solution to increase spacing ... That was your question/problem ...

I read your statement wrong so those questions are now irrelevant. I am also curious as to the issue Chris is having, for future reference.

Yeah the pages are published.. but when i go to make edits/updates I have the issue,

it is the same in draft format too in all honesty

Even after making the updates with the button .. it is the same... I lost the code

Honestly, I haven't heard anything like that before :(

Yeah ... ok not the end of the world ... just that if i make edits in the visual editor... I need to go back to the text editor to fix it again ... or i also have all the text crammed together (no line spacing) between paragraphs.

I know what I am doing in the text editor and I am pretty good with the code.. so ill keep doing what im doing :)

Thanks anyway man!

Speak soon!

Chris

Hi

I can’t help with the new editor as I’ve added the plug in for classic editor.

If you are struggling it gives you the choice to stick to what you know.

I downloaded the classic editor. Works like a charm. Now my content looks way better.
Thanks
