Core “Business Start Up” Training

I might be mistaken, but I see a lot of people talking about their own experiences when it comes to following the Cookie and GDPR rules.. but I do not think I have seen any off

Yes I know of these.. but they are some years old...

I appreciate the feedback and shared Kyle's current core training pages. See the above comment.

Yes I have also seen these.. and an Affiliate Disclosure page is standard.. plus maybe using the option of disclosing on certain pages and posts.. is this now enough? Or do we still need a plugin to announce the cookies/GDPR.. and allow users to accept/decline and so on?

And if we need a plugin.. which one?

These are new

Kyle's resources The GDPR Cookie Consent

I use the theme's integrated cookie feature; I don't have a plugin. I use the Blocksy Agency theme.

Thanks Abie.. I did some more research.. and I will give the Complianz plugin a try and see how it goes..

I just installed it and it was pretty straight forward.. so I will keep it monitored from here..

Thanks again :)

Is anyone else having an issue carrying out a URL inspection on Google Search Console at present?

I have been trying 30 minutes and keep getting a message saying try aga

It's working fine for me. I do get that message occasionally, but I just submit again and it works.

Ok Phil.. thank you mate.. I appreciate you getting back to me.. I'll try again a little later :)

Waw, nope, n/a.

Not that you need it, but here's a training from Kyle I am sure you're refreshing, trying again, or probably trying in a different browser; it could be from their end.

Thanks Abie... I will give it a while and try again :) hope you are ok

I am indeed working on new websites with Divi Builder. I hope you resolve it sooner; please keep us updated.

I just hit the publish button but realised when I did there was a mistake in my URL.. can I edit that safely before it becomes indexed without issues? Or do I need to just leav

OK in time.. it was just indexed now.. ok I did the URL inspection.. but after 2 minutes it was done... so phew!!!! thanks all :)

Woohoo! Congrats.

Hey Chris that will be OK to do before it gets indexed.
Good thing you realized it now and now much later. So well done on that also doublecheck the spelling and make sure you don't have characters in between like commas etc.

Wishing you well

Andre

Thanks Andre.. all in order now... a silly mistake.. but I made it haha

Great to hear you fixed it up, don't think of it as a silly mistake but a lesson learned in the process and one you took forward action to fix it.

Enjoy the rest of your day and week ahead.

When I check my Google Site Kit... I have a chart.. as I am sure we all do of where our traffic comes from, ie Social, Organic Social, Organic and so on...

I have a larg

Hey Chris,

Whenever I'm confused like this (which, yeah... huh? This confused me too. LOL!) I go to Google for an answer. See screen print below...

Maybe that's the count of visitors who would not accept tracking... maybe?

Hope you find this helpful.

Hey Youuuuuuu :)

Thanks,, I appreciate you getting back to me.. as always

I think I will put this down to.... well... it is what it is :)

What to say!

Thank you so much.. I appreciate your kind help!

Hey Chris,

Personally... well Chris, you sound like me. LOL!

Years ago I tried auto-posting to social media and found little to no engagement with my posts, so I dropped out of using it.

When using social media and actually creating relationships with your followers, you'll get far more activity.

What you could do is do your socializing online in the evening instead of say, watching TV. Take that TV time and start interacting with your followers and your posts will be engaged with by more... over time... as that too will not happen magically... or... so I've learn .

Seriously though... interacting is like when you're shopping and in a lineup ready to pay for your purchases. I've found that time better spent chatting with those in front of me making it a more pleasant shopping experience than standing in line impatiently tapping our toes, waiting for a slow customer or cashier. LOL!

Social media is just like that.

SO... select ONE social media where your potential clients are most likely to hang out, and focus on THAT one. Then you will be less apt to feel overwhelmed.

Hey... it works for me. 😊

Some themes already have the sharing feature built in if you wanted to avoid a plugin.

Hi Louise,

Please tell me, which theme includes this feature of automatically posting a new article on all selected social networks? I'm really curious to know, too.🤔 Thank you.

Diana.

Hi Diana, I use the Ashe theme and this one has the social platforms already available. I haven’t used any other themes but I’m sure Ashe isn’t the only one to offer this feature.

Hi Louise,

Thanks for your reply. I looked on the theme demo, but I didn't see anywhere to specify this. Are you sure we are talking about the same thing? Thank you!

Best Regards,
Diana.

If you look at customisation, there is a social button. When you click on that, there is a drop down menu where you can add all of your social media links. See photos.

Once you add your social media links, it allows you to post your article directly to your social platforms.

I have the same on my theme but they are for Follow Me Social Media Icons. Thank you for the time to reply. Have a nice day or night.

Diana.

Ah I see.
I can post from mine.
You’re welcome. Have a great evening.
Louise

Thank you. :)

Hi Chris,

I use the Blog2Social plugin. Please take a look at the image. I hope this information is helpful to you.

Diana.

OK thanks you so much Diana.. I will take a look.. I was not aware of this plugin!

Thank you :)

You are very welcome. Whenever I publish a new article, the plugin posts it on all selected social media.

This is good to know... I will check it out... I am suuuper grateful :) x

No problem. 😉 Have a good day or night.

haha... thanks.. morning for me :) .. and you too.. whatever time it is :)

Good evening my friend I've been a part of welfare affiliates since 2018 April. Every blog that I have ever wrote has went on to all the social media platforms.

In the beginning I was paying them for the business profile, and send my blogs out that way. However, after I created a name for myself, I stopped paying and I just use what it is free, And I have never looked back.

I still receive the same attention that I used to pay for, now for free. So here's some food for thought for you,

If you're going to pay, don't do it for long, let people know who you are and what you are promoting, then jump out of that lane and get into the free lane and you will see, it will work out for you outstanding.

A fine and beautiful rest of the week to you, may prosperity and good health be always with you.

Yeah I am not going to start paying for it. These platforms have enough money.. thanks for letting me know your experience too.. deffo food for thought... thank you

In the past I’ve tried a few different ones and you set them up for future posts, but honestly it takes longer than just doing many posts at once. I keep a running lost of links and text and images that I just go down my list: Twitter, Facebook, insta….. and get it done. Some you can schedule in advance and I go in spurts with Facebook sometimes a couple weeks in advance. Hiring a speedy teen may be less expensive too. Let us know what you end up doing!
Anne

Thanks for that Anne... much appreciated... Yes .. I think I will also make a template on Excel and have a list to work through... I will just tackle them when I can... Social Media has never floated my boat unfortunately... it is a side of the business that irritates me but I know it needs to be done.

Thanks for letting me know how you do things.

Chris

Agree on the social not floating your boat. I was a bit alarmed to find I had a twitter anniversary of 15 years on Sunday. I use it for linking and some conversation towards my business goals. But that’s a long time. Yikes!
