hello! i have the same question...but i'm a total newb!!! can someone break it down into bite size pieces please?
Agree...total newbie and still having difficulties with the info given and getting it to work.
Looking for some additional assistance if anyone can.
This is done by uploading the file into your wordpress root directory. You will need a FTP program like Filezilla. The root directory is the list of files after "httpdocs". You will see this after you configure your FTP to access your wordpress database.

eBay HTML file to verify Site ownership
Hi everyone,
I just signed up with eBay's Affiliate Program.
In order to verify Website ownership I have to upload an HTML file to my site. I am having a hard time v
to be more specific, what do i do with the html file that i get from ebay and then where do i upload it to wordpress? i know what filezilla is and have used it for school, but how would i do that with wordpress?
You should be able to just copy and paste the file to your wordpress. However, it must be in the correct place or it will (a)mess up your website or (b) eBay can not find it.
I would find out what eBay instructions are about exactly where they want it. You can install it with copy and paste by going into your Editor. Depending on the theme, depends where your Editor will be found. Some are on the left-bottom in dashboard, some are on right-bottom. That is all I can tell you from what you have supplied. I hope this helps.

Hi everyone,
I just watched MagicStudios' latest WAbinar on "From Traffic and Conversion" https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/from-traffic-to-conversion-a-walkthrough
Here is the link to article Jay did about above the fold
https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/magistudios/blog/how-your-above-the-fold-can-affect-your-rankings
Thanks for your feedback. I actually used the tool suggested on the article... correct link is http://as-abovethefold.appspot.com/ and removed all ads and banners to below-fold location. Hope that helps in retaining readers... I will systematically review the rest of this sites' pages & posts as well as my other websites for compliance.
I truly appreciate your time and courtesies. Let me know if I may be of assistance to you in the future. Best regards, Yolette
I also listened in on Jay's webinar last night. On thing he does not like and I have already done away with is banners. Just looking at the first page your site, the first thing I see is an ad. Then you go down the left side of your page and it is all ads. That does turn a lot of people off. Jay even indicated this last night. I thing it was Jay that recently wrote a blog about banners but same is true for ads that they need to be below the fold. I will get you the link to the blog. Debbie

Hi everyone,
I have received traffic from naturalclick via my Weight Loss site for one of my targeted keywords. As such, I'm wondering and exploring ppc advertising with t
Yes, Yolette - beware of the snake oil salesmen....they exist to part you from your money! As a newbie, I have purchased more than a few worthless programs....just ineffective, dated or incorrect garbage. Follow the advice of the leaders here and you won't go wrong.
Wishing you much success on all your "stuff".
Suz
Hey Suz, I'm convinced... don't have money to waste on scams. Still trying to parcel out the time to create some natural linkages throughout; I will make it happen eventually.
Thanks for commenting and the great advice... I'm sorry you had to learn the hard way. Be well! Yolette
Lol, Yolette.....the School of Hard Knocks has millions of graduates worldwide. I haven't spent a fortune, but the amount I did spend had no bang for the buck at all. Can't wait to see what you are up to here at WA!!
As the old hippies say, "Keep On Truckin"....
Suz
This sounds like just another source of fake traffic that will not convert at all. It will waste your money as all these types of programs do. To get real traffic you need to do so naturally by getting ranked in google. If you want to do PPC, use google Adwords.
Paid traffic like this is a scam.
I haven't used it but you do need to be careful about those automated click software programs, because they may be spam.

Hi everyone, I just received 3 comments, as pingbacks from 3 of my pages simultaneously, from IP Address "
Thanks to All!
There will be duplicate replies which I was unable to delete.
I appreciate your time.
Great job! Yolette
welshy, on this theme- the date of posting appears on the upper left side of the post title.
Actually, I just realized that I never received pingbacks from any published articles or pages from this site,,, so I looked at another site http://fatbellybusters.com/ and confirmed "127.0.0.1" as the IP for the pingbacks.
Great detective work!
Thank you... I am so relieved :-) !
Best regards. Yolette
Forgive me if I'm wrong but this isn't spam, it's just a pingback.
When you publish a post/page and link to other pages within your site, you'll get a Pingback comment.
I see your latest post published today is doing just that.
Thanks welshy,
My last post was published on March 18th, 2014 on http://yolettemsaintiny.com -the site at issue.
The spam appeared as pingbacks... but actually could not have taken that long for additional pingbacks to appear... could it?
I checked the IP here http://whatismyipaddress.com/ip-lookup which classified it as "Local Host"
This is really interesting.
Thanks for your comment. Be well. Yolette
When I checked your latest post I just noticed at the bottom:
"Posted by Yolette at 10:06 am" figured that was a post from today.
Normally your own pingbacks appears as comment moments are you hit publish.
If you know who to capture and share a screenshot, maybe post one showing the pingbacks from the comment area of dashboard.
I don't think it's a big deal, you can actually turn pingbacks off, just forget how.

Hi everyone,
The website Seamalt.com has been crawling my blogs on a daily basis; a quick search on the Internet is not conclusive as to potential threat, if any, may be c
There is a very remote possibility that it might uncover the use of copyrighted material. If you don't have any on your sites, I wouldn't worry.
Hey Yolette, seamalt just poped up in my analytics too. Are you still confident they are ok or have you had any issues with them over the last 10 months? Like you I'm reading all kinds of different opi-ions about this robot.
Hi Jesikah4, this is the response received from Kyle regarding seamalt:
_Kyle "No, this is a site that is navigating around the web scraping sites for content. They are not threat, this is a robot and they have access to none of your data (other than your website content that is LIVE that everyone has access to). I would not be alarmed or concerned here Yolette. End reply
For what it's worth, I am no longer concerned about this site scraper... there is only so much we can control over the Internet.
Hope this helps! Yolette
Hi. Not much coming back from the search engines. Registered 2009 but a parked page. This is likely a follow from a link in your blog post somewhere. It may simply be a serch engine in it's self.
Maybe someone else will have input too.
Why not query with Kyle or support?
