I am wondering does a website have to be dedicated to one niche. I've been thinking lately that I'd like to have a site that has a whole bunch of totally unrelated subject matt
No, the visitor will come to your site and get disoriented when they see content that they were not searching for. Start with one website, one niche. When you have that up and running and successful then you can think about building a second website.
I have an article on my site about one website vs. multiple websites when starting out. Get one right first before starting the next site.

Hi Vivki. If you really feel you want to go down this path then I would set up a separate page on your website for each 'niche' idea. Make sure you give the page a short descriptive title. The advantage here is that you will see which page gets the most attention. This could then lead you to develop a separate website just for that idea. The main issue at the moment could be a lack of passion for just one particular subject. Find this nugget of gold and you will be able to focus.
Thanks I appreciate your comments and your willingness to express a different point of view. Not sure if I will pursue it or not I really just wanted to get some feedback.
I would not do multiple niches in one site unless they are all interrelated.
My sites are broad and can have hundreds of niches so I chose a couple for each site. Once the smoke clears and I see where the major interest areas are I will focus in that direction the most.
I will still give helping information in the other niches just not priority.
On the other hand than that offered below, it can't hurt to try it. After all it is your time. The problem I see is getting a comprehensive title. Maybe do one site with a couple of niches as you can manage just to experiment.
Thanks Helen I think I will give it a go. I've got a fair bit to do on the other sites I have first but I think it's worth a try I'm trying to come up with a common theme that can tie all my radom thoughts together. Thanks for your input I appreciate your comments
I think the experts here at WA will suggest that you stick with one niche to a website. I'm not the expert but that is what Kyle and Carson recommend.
I wouldn't do it. One niche per site. If you find you are losing interest in one niche, try another on a different website.
Pick two of your favorite to build two sites and go pack and forth writing your posts for each. That gives you the break you want in writing content and gives you two sites that can rank well on each niche topic.
You can do whatever you want, it is your own website. But how successful it will be, it is a big ?
Hi,
I wouldn't do that.
Mixing niches is generally not recommended, especially if they are completely unrelated.
Imagine you search for weight loss and get to a site that is selling computer software, too. Would be a bit weird, wouldn't it?
Try to write about something that really interests you (like your hobby), not just about something you know about.
The whole point is to be the expert in a specific field and keep posting about this topic.
5 posts on each topic wouldn't be enough anyways.
You need to write regularly for a few months before you even see results in traffic and conversions.
Sorry.

When Checking my visitor behaviour info on Google Analytics to see what pages people visit I noticed that there are two pages listed that I know nothing about.

It's called referral spam. I've done a lot of research on this lately. There are a few different ways to filter it out. But the latest I've heard is that annoying as it is it has no effect on your ranking at all. It just messes up your stats as far as analyzing your traffic. I may filter some of it out, but what I've been told is your time is much better spent creating more content. More content = more traffic. More traffic means these sites won't skew your data as much.
Thanks Chris I suspected that was the answer I was going to get but I thought I should just check Thanks for getting back to me I really appreciate your time
Most people get these "bots". I found this training last night to filter them out of my analytics numbers. This shows how to exclude them from your numbers or block them. Blocking requires a bit of coding.
There isn't much you can do about them visiting, but I know how disturbing it is! How To Filter Referral Spam From Google Analytics
Thanks Jean I appreciate you taking the time from what I've found out apart from the filtering there is nothing I can do I can see that it could really freak some people out so annoying

I am wanting to make my referral members welcome. I need to update the welcome messages that appear under the aeroplane tab that go out to people as they sign up. Is there some
I was about to tell you where to find some welcome letters but Leo beat me to it. (LOL). ~Marion
In the main dashboard you'll see the new members that come to the WA - go to those profiles - You can see welcome messages.
Until you do create your own messages your member will receive the ones from Kyle and Carson.
And even after you create your messages they still receive the ones from Kyle and Carson.
Hope this helps
There aren't any samples, per se but you can see what other members are doing by reading the welcome messages on new member profiles. I highly recommend you add your own flare though, or even just think about how you would like to be welcomed! It doesn't have to be anything complicated - just something to let people know they have a support network and how they can get in contact with you.
Thanks Nathaniell I should have known you were there waiting to answer my question - perfect! I really appreciate it.
Click on $WA Affiliate Program on left sidebar, then click 'messages' at the top....all automated messages are there and you can edit them any way you choose....is this what you were looking for?
Thanks Rosie I had already found those it is what to edit those to that I was after Leo came up with the perfect answer thanks for your quick response though I appreciate it

I have made some images for my make money site. Flow chart type things nothing too amazing but they would be attractive to others I think. How can I stop others using my images.
In addition to using a watermark you can install a WordPress plugin that prevents the copying of both your images and your content. It is called,
WP Content Copy Protection & No Right Click
Mark 'em copyright with a watermark and sue hell out of 'em when they use 'em! lol :) A watermark will at least identify them as yours.
As others have said watermark is probably the only way. At least then if they get used you still get credit. There's really nothing you can do to keep someone from stealing your content if they really want to. Any precautions you take really just keep the honest people more honest.
Hi Vicki. I would certainly add your website address as a watermark, then just let them loose on the world. If others use them then consider that free traffic for your website.
This is virtually impossible. While you can take precautions, you could end up spending more time trying to protect your work than it takes to create new content.
It looks like there are some WP plug-ins that help protect images and posts. Perhaps one of those might be worthwhile.
Give them a google.
