Have you read his profile?
Aren't you glad that members as good as these guys have helped you ?
I'm learning things myself :)
Yes I have and I am very grateful he takes the time to help, along with other members who have great knowledge to share!
What I understand is that If I purchase my domain from say Namecheap and get it hosted in WA (not with siterubix), then everything is o.k. Is there any problem even then?
Hi. There shouldn't be any problems once you buy your domain and have it hosted here, but if there are, tech support is here to help you get going again.
Check uour robot.txt plugin to make sure it is up to date and also go to each of your pages/post to see if the robot.txt is not checked off.
If you are a premium member and I see you are, your hosting here is free. Why would you pay some other company to do your hosting.
Hmmmmm.....forgive me for asking a stupid question. I'm hosting here, but bought a domain name from Namecheap, Does that mean I don't have a top level domain?
Yes it does. Your domain name will be followed by .siterubix.com.
That is not a bad thing, but it will never rank like a top level domain of the same quality, so says Carson.
You can have 25 top level domains hosted at WA. You don't have to use a sub-domain. I host at HostGator because I have too many domain names. But everyone says that WA is good for hosting. ~Marion
Carson himself told me that hosting with WA will never compare to hosting without the http://siterubix.com attached to your domain name. I am not saying that WA is not good hosting, just not at the same level as if you pay for your own, be it Host Gator or BlueHost.
I would take Carson or Kyle's words over mine any day.
You do not need to worry they are talking about the free domains with site rub-ix, you can have a top level domain hosted with WA if you purchase the domain your self
Barry
You have a top level domain if you bought it from Namecheap. As a Premium member of WA you can have up to 25 domains hosted here. They do NOT have .siterubix.com attached to them unless you just want sub-domains for testing purposes. ~Marion
Do me a favor please. I have bought a domain from namecheap,
Hosting here at WA. There is no .siterubix following my domain
Where do you get this crap from?
http://factsaboutinternetmarketing.com
check it out for yourself, take screenshot and show me the .siterubix
John Worthy
@mackiejw The only thing that shows you are using WA hosting is the SiteRubix favicon. You might want to change that in the future. ~Marion
No need to get fluffed up John. Teresa cleared it up. It's only for the free siterubix domains she is talking about. Top level domains DO NOT have the siterubix suffix.
John, please do not yell at me. I think this is a simple misunderstanding. Siterubix follows your domain name if you have received the domain name free from WA, not if you have purchased one from any domain name reseller, including NameCheap.
You purchased your domain name, therefore there is no siterubix following your domain name.
Sorry John, apparently I did not specify that Carson was talking about the FREE domain names when I made the comment. I apologize for leaving that out. It made the comment misleading. It was not intentional.

Is this a legitimate report from google, or is it sending you to an external link? It could be someone trying to scam you Terea. I'd check the robots.txt and see if it is ok, and if it all looks legit, then just check that the pages listed in the text file are actually there, and haven't been removed.
I access this error through Webmaster Tools. I don't believe it is a scam. I need to figure out how to get to my robots.txt file and proceed from there. I checked my "read" page on the website and it is discourage crawling is NOT checked.

I googled it.
This is the definition I got, but still do not fully understand:
FRAME
- In the context of a web browser, a fram
Terea, one can get lost in semantics which may seem petty stuff. A frame is merely a boxed idea or a self-contained section of data. Alone, it is obsolete. Creating a sequence of frames to promote an entire concept to be understood are their purpose.
A 'how to do' something is one frame. The set of steps, each one a frame, together make that something easily understood at a glance.
An infographic is an example of the modern day replacement of a frame. ^_~
Thanks! I do have a much better grasp now of the word FRAME. I can actually picture one in my head now. I still do not understand why anyone would ask me, at this day and time, which frames I had used.
You are always welcome love. I may be able to provide an answer for your last sentence. Think it better to PM me. ^_~
Well this question was way over my head but I sure enjoyed the conversations you invoked and the information you gathered! lol :)
Hi Terea, heres a link about the code to make an iframe, with a live example above the fold of that page. Shows one of their own pages within the iframe on that page. http://www.w3schools.com/html/html_iframe.asp. I should add that most search engines do not like Iframes or any frame for that matter and do not do a good job of crawling them. Best off not to have anything trying to get ranking on in a frame. Heres another link on that https://yoast.com/google-frames-sites/. Also frames are not supported in HTML5 so really out of date. lol think I'm done editing this now, Best wishes on your endeavors,
Thank you Ed. I appreciate your support. I will take a look at the sites momentarily. I am familiar with iframe because of YouTube embeds into a website. Still have trouble picturing one. I'll go look at the sites and see if I can picture one now.
This sentence from Yoast (the second suggestion you made) helped the most.
The URL of the page you’re looking at is the same for both the user and Google. This is quite different with a frames page, as the URL you’re seeing in your browser, is the URL to a page which actually divides up your screen in to different windows, the so called frameset. So if you have 3 frames, there’s actually 4 URL’s: one for the frameset page, and three for the three different frames.
I was tracking right along the first page you sent me to as it described height and width of a frame, but then it took the info away in the next sentence by setting the parameters to zero.
Frames are obsolete, I guess I do not need to be able to imagine one. Dinosaurs are obsolete, but I can picture a TRex in my brain.
Why would a person today ask what frames you have worked in? It makes no sense to me, being they are obsolete.
Hi Terea, It may be as simple as he is someone that used to do his own webdesign back in the day, and has been outsourcing it for quite a while now. Good news is they are no longer needed. Best wishes on your endeavors.
Back in the old days, we used to design web-pages with frames.
It was sort of like using a table to layout the page, so you would have one frame with the site heading in it and all the header information. This would be saved as a separate html file and called on to be used in the main page. Then you would write a page which is just a list of links which would be used in the side-bar frame, and have a main frame which would be the content frame. When a link is clicked on the page, it would open up in the main content frame and you wouldn't have to reload the whole page just to update the content.
Of course these pages loaded fast because only one frame was being loaded through navigation and were really great in the days of Dial-up, but not necessary with high speed broadband.
However, these days we have HTML-5 and CSS-3 which allow you to do away with frames. Now we use DIV section tags and set the parameters through style sheets and PHP (especially for WordPress).
The next use of frames is the iFrame, which is still used to display a webpage within a webpage, or even on top of a webpage. It is often used when embedding a video or animated 'Flash' object into a page.
I hope this answers your question
Thank you. From HOWEVER down makes wonderful sense. I understand the use of frames, I understand they are no longer needed. I just cannot picture a FRAME in my mind. I can picture a style sheet, I recognize HTML and CSS. I hate to sound so ignorant, but could you help me actually picture a FRAME?
Have a look at this site and see if this helps you, http://www.quackit.com/html/examples/frames/
I think this is about the best information about frames that will answer your query, hope helps.
Let me know
That did it. I can now imagine how a frame is made and what it is and how it looks. Thank you, my head feels much better. Code defines a frame and a frame is simply a square or a rectangle that defines a space determined by the code.
I'm happy, except for one little detail.
Why would one, in today's time, ask me what FRAMES I had used?

My post has never been published and is only in draft mode. If I change the permalink, do I still need to establish a 301 redirect for it?
If you happen to know, what has Googl
You can still change your title if it's still in draft mode. You only need a redirect if you want to delete something that's been indexed.
Hmmm....I maybe misunderstanding you Terea, but posts that have never been published before cannot be found by Google, so therefore have never been indexed.
Thanks Lemm and Gary. Those are my thoughts also, but there are so many little tricks Google plays, I started doubting myself!

Yes it looks fine here Terea, in fact it looks fantastic. That theme suits the content perfectly.
If you have problems again I often find that deleting and retyping the part that is causing the error and a line or two before and after resolves a problem but Mark is definitely your man if that doesn't work
Great site. Like Mark - I think the theme is great. I know you didn't ask - but I would increase the size of a lot of your photos. I think they are too small and slightly spoil the great content eg http://www.mydogmyjoy.com/reading-food-labels-dog/#more-754 (and personally I would add captions)
Thanks Bis, you are always welcome to make suggestions, asked for or not! Since the ingredients are a png I will go in and type them so that they are larger. Can you be a bit more specific on which pictures you think should be re-sized? I will work on them too. Captions to the pictures?
Hi Terea - I think you've fixed this...
I just see "Continue Reading" on the home page of your site: http://www.mydogmyjoy.com/ for that post. So I think the Continue Reading link is working as it should now.
If not, let me know - I'm a programmer, so can look at source etc and usually find out what's up.
I love the theme by the way - I've used a variation of it for a book review site!!
All the best, Mark

BuckTaylorPremium 2 months ago If you just want to get rid of that text but keep the comment available on the page you can use CSS to hide it.
- Go to appearance > editor
- Scroll down looking on the right hand side for your styles.css file and click on it.
- In the content box where the code is, look for the class name .form-allowed-tags (could also be ".comments-area .form-allowed-tags" or another variation of that)
- add this this style to that class: display:none;
- So the whole think should look like this when you are done:
.form-allowed-tags{

Hi Terea, If looking to just remove the wording about using HTML you would need to edit your theme. If that is what you want to do, it would be better to create a child theme. Then you would make the changes to that part of your theme in the child theme. That way, if there is an update to the theme, your changes will stay in place. If you do it directly to the theme itself, you will have to edit every time after an update. Hope this helps, Best wishes on your endeavors.
Install a plugin called "Spam Free Wordpress" by Todd Lahman. It eliminates the tags and replaces it with the words "HTML tags not allowed".
Note: I haven't tested this yet so use a test site if possible to try it out.
