I wondering about using Amazon to find a niche?
Hi Don
Amazon is a great resource for coming up with Niche ideas and their potential viability.
Suggestion 1.
Go to Amazon and select the magazine subscriptions section.
Have a browse through all the magazine titles
If there is a magazine available on the subject this is likely to be a viable niche.
Suggestion 2.
In the books section search through the "For Dummies" range of books
e.g. auto repair for dummies
Wiley does a lot of research before they produce one of this range.
When you have come up with a short list of Niche ideas search through the books section to see how many books there are about that Niche to give you an idea of popularity.
Happy hunting!
Dave
In my opinion google is the best way. Just start typing and let google find relevant keywords to turn into a niche. Hope this helps
It's in one of the training modules about finding a niche, using Amazon, can't remember which one though! It's a good way of doing it or it wouldn't have been in the training! :)
hmmm... That is actually a very creative and interesting idea! I couldn't find anything here at WA doing a quick search regarding that, but most comments about Amazon are usually not good feedback (Example: https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/justintrump/blog/how-to-make-more-money-from-your-amazon-affiliate-links). Also, Amazon rejected me simply because I live in Colorado. Amazon is a lot of unnecessary work in general and even Kyle mentions it is not his favorite when using it in a training video as an example. However, what you are trying to do is a good idea since there is so much out on Amazon, using it to find a niche and spark ideas is brilliant! Try it out and write a blog on it!
seems like a good idea, not sure if there is a WA lesson on it, but want to follow this convo to find out.

Is there a lesson about using amazon as a search engin?

Ebay can be another good resource for Niche Ideas too Don.
But you need to think around the subject a little bit.
If people are selling a lot of outdoor plant containers then container gardening could be a viable niche ( which it is in fact).
If people are buying or selling a lot of something there is a niche or niches there.
I might be a bit biased because I am an Ebay affiliate too, but that is a different business model.
I guess you are thinking of Amazon Kindle books. Yes, you could search through those in pretty much the same way as Magazines but you would need to look at there BSR ranking to see how popular they are.
They are not quite the same, as anyone could potentially create and self-publish a kindle book without major research or investment.
In fact, kindle book creation could be a very viable sideline for those creating websites here with minimal extra effort, but I digress.

If I want to change numbers?
I wouldn't have my phone number anywhere on my site unless it is required for a plugin you paid for. Glyn
I can not imagine where you are talking about. Perhaps you are referring to the phone number you entered when you purchased your domain name. If that is the case go into your account settings with the registrar that you used. (example..Namecheap) There is no place in the WA settings for a phone number. Also, I did not find an active contact page for your site. If you made one it may still be in your drafts. Hope this helps.
What theme are you using and where on the site does the number appear? Did you initially enter the number yourself or is it a default number provided by the theme developer?
How do I get back to phone number thats linked to my website?

Mark
I have just double checked it ... in Course 3 Lesson 8 you will find the training for setting up Google Adsense and in Course 3 Lesson 9 it takes you through Google Analytics :)
Thanks
Chris
Looks like Chris got you taken care of. And it really is easy, in fact the step by step instructions right on the Google Analytics signup page is all the tutorial you need to install it on your site/pages.
If I remember I think it is in the lessons in Course 3 which discusses the setting up of Google Analytics.
It is quite straight forward to do and it does provide accurate information of your traffic including the real time feature!!

I need to know how to up load a WA banner
Hi red. Just some info for you. Look up at the top of this page, you see the question tab. That's probably where you asked for help for banners? You might be amazed at how much info there is, if you form your question as a question, ie. "how do I do something? Don't forget the question mark. As you type in your question there will be quite a few answers to similar questions or even the one you needed help with this morning, if so click on it and read it. There might even be a tutorial to answer your question already there. If not, then ask your question, in the form of a question to the community, like you did. Hope this helped.
look to the left. See "Affiliate Programs". Just under that is $ WA Affiliate Program. Click on it. It will take you to the WA affiliate page. Look up to the top right and you will see "Banners". Click on it. Choose your banner. Take the direct link or the html code. Hope this helps.

Due to my inexperience I have a post that I wanted to be my first page.
Highlight the post and delete/save it, by holding down the Cntrl key and pressing the X key. Go to (or create) the first page, and paste it there. Actually, I would paste it first on a Word.doc first, if you've never done this before, so you don't wind up losing the post altogether.
Place your cursor where you want to paste it, then hold down the Cntrl key and press the V key.
Presto, your post is relocated where you want it.
