On ones main page menu at the top, is it better to have drop downs for multiple items. example: instead of just a menu "Reviews" and then having all your reviews on that page w

Katie is right.

drop down menu's are very useful especially when you have a lot of posts or pages

I prefer the drop down and am trying to see how it works here in Wordpress for my site.

I like the drop down menu for reviews. Its probably easier to see which review to read

I believe you maybe right CConcepcion.

I believe is about preference. You can try it both ways and then choose your favorite

Interesting thought. Mr. Kearns. I will just have to play with it I guess. I just want it to be easier on the reader and professional looking too. Thank you for the food for thought. Mike

If using multiple nesting for searching menu items in drop down format works for you, go for it. Remember though, this is the same problem as indexes for indexes. You don't want your reader to get telescopic searching fatigue.

That is what I am feeling as well. Thanks Barry J, I appreciate the feedback.

I like the drop down menu for reviews. Each one is on a page of its own. It makes for much better navigation by the visitor and they can choose which review to look at.

HI everyone. I created a "Footer" section on my side bar and wish to move or create it for the bottom of my site. I feel that it would look more professional. Thanks Mike

easy fix, just change themes

LOL, but I like this one....LOL Mike

You should have a footer widget. Go to Appearance > Widgets. You should be able to move your sidebar widget to the footer widget using drag and drop.

I'll look and try that Marion, Thank you Mike

Well Marion, I looked and I guess the theme I am using doesn't have a footer widget. But thank you Mike

Thanks I will take a look at this also. I was wondering how I could add a comment section at the bottom of my page. I will try the widgets.

@Rubyparker you enable comments in a different way. These should help

@mick56 Most themes have footer widgets. If you'd like to try a different theme then this should help

Can't seem to access my site manager to make changes

I was unable to access it yesterday. I do nor recall exactly when. Now it works just fine.

Diab, I am glad that yours is bak up and running mine too. Iy had something top do with the "ownership file" on WA end. none of my doing. Thank goodness. LOL Mike

I have been having problems with html code as in inserting spaces in the content. I have entered and re-entered this code and it disappears. Not usual behavior!

mine has been fine if it is still playing up put a support ticket in

Thanks Katie, I did

I was having issues adding google Adsense through Wordpress but it's all good now

No I am not having issues with my site manager but Ihad problems with my admin section. Hopeyouget it cleared up shortly.

I had problems earlier today getting into my website so I waited until tonight, I got in fine and wrote my about me and now I can't update :(

I had problems earlier today and figured it was my Internet provider. It took about three minutes to load my dashboard and then it took a few minutes to get the updates page to load, so I decided to work on something else.

Interesting, I will try to load it and let it go to see how long if at all it loads. Thank you Mike

Hello Mick,
Yes, I'm having problems.
When I update a page, sometimes it comes up blank. Sometimes it says the page didn't send any data - so I have to go out and come back to the page and re-do the work, and try saving it again.
I tried clearing my cache. It hasn't helped.
I'm using Chrome.
I have no clues about this.
And even when it works OK, it's terribly slow. It's taking a long time to save.
Merrin

Thank you for your reply I too have deleted my cache and still can not get site manger to load my site. I have sent in a ticket. Mike

Thanks, Mike.

Hi Merrin. You might have issues on your computer. Try running updated virus scan. Also, you might have too many plugins running. I try to keep it down to 4. Also, with the latest WordPress updates, there have been a few problems with plugins. Been having my own issues the last few days.

If it's the survival site listed on your profile here, I tried to go to the wp-admin login page and it was blank, so you are most likely having a plugin or theme conflict.

You can either wait for for support to rectify it or start trouble-shooting via ftp.

Good luck.

Interesting because if I go to my profile and click on my website link it loads just fine, but if I try to go thru the site manager and login it tries to load but is blank. is this what you mean? Mike

Yes. The front end seems fine, but you get a blank page when trying to go to the admin area.

Correct. I put in another ticket as requested. so we'll see what happens. Thanks chris

This maybe a silly question, however have any of you felt that by having multiple sites has helped your income potential?

Yes, the key being able to maintain them.

Yes, of course. Is based on the diversification principle.

Totally agree. Mutiple website with good Niche always have more potential then a single website.

I'm to new at this to know the answer to your question. But do like your website great idea.

Oh absolutely! This is just one of many ideas I have knowledge of in great detail. So for me it only made sense to do this one first as I feel it is the most important to me. Mike

Yes, without a doubt. But, here's the thing. They are in different niches and I don't proceed with a new one until one is profitable and nearly self-sufficient. Many folks get a wee ahead of themselves creating more than one out of the gate and then spread themselves too thin.

Awesome! thank you for your response. I agree with you. I was just wondering. As I do plan on executing more site as the one I have now becomes as you self-sufficient. Thanks again Mike

Excellent! Anytime Mike!
