WA Coffee Meetup - Lynne & Jaco
This morning I met up with Jaco for the first time for some coffee and of course a milkshake - I find those hard to resist.
It was so awesome to finally meet up with him, after meeting here at WA we became Facebook friends and later connected on Whatsapp - we have been planning to meet up for months on end.
Last year I bought a canvas with my kids printed on it for my parents for their Christmas present - little did I know that the owner of the business was Jaco! However I asked my hubby to collect the canvas since he was on his way to the mall on the day that it was ready saving me a drive into the next town. Much to the disappointment of Jaco since he wanted to surprise me!
Today we met up and spent 2 hours discussing our individual journeys and throwing around ideas, questioning each other and having a good laugh too.
One thing that I love to do is to chat to other people that work online and know what I am talking about - people that understand and share the same goals as me.
Thanks Jaco, it was great to get out and I really enojoyed our meeting!
Now I am looking forward to my next WA meetup next week with Lauren at the #MommyHero Event in Cape Town! I know we are going to have a LOT to talk about - I've even arranged for my father in law to collect my kids from school so I am not under any pressure to get home at a certain time!
And then next up I think Michelle and I should meet too since she also lives in the West Coast - just a 20 minute drive from me!

Hey Lynne... I thought I had first dibs on meeting you... Haha.
Only kidding, am very happy to hear about your coffee date. Looks like you two had do much fun.
I'm not sure we are going to get the same kind of quality time at the Event. I've also asked my hubby to collect my son from school.
No school on Thursday for my son (Ascension Day).
Wow this is totally great. Meeting up with not just one but three people from WA.
This must be a great experience and valuable to share ideas too.
With Grace and Gratitude
Karen
Wow this is so nice.
Really hope we can have something like this for WA members from Asia.. :)
Awesome meet.
That is so great. I wish someone lived around me that I could meet up with. Anyone on Vancouver Island, Canada?
Unfortunately, there isn't a way we can search by location for members in our neighborhood. It might be a great feature to suggest to Kyle.
I don't know but I would bet that they don't live on the Island :) And, probably wouldn't want to meet me. Yet!
Yeah, Jay, Kyle and Carson are from Victoria, about 3 hours from Vancouver if I remember correctly.
What's 3 hours from you, Victoria or Vancouver? I was only in Victoria and remember people saying Vancouver was 3 hours away but not sure about Vancouver island.
Victoria is on the Southern tip of Vancouver Island, I am 3 hours North. Vancouver is on the mainland. You have to take a ferry to get to the mainland from the island. :)
This is so awesome!
I don't even know who in WA is from Toronto. I remember a few people being from Greater Toronto Area but they are not members anymore, so I guess I will just meet people in Vegas (one day) LOL.
It feels great to turn online connections into real life friendship. I speak from experience.
Back in 2015, met a Russian girl living in the US through Instagram, we had a great chat for months, I invited her to explore Toronto, had an awesome week hanging out together, connected REALLY well and she's literally my best friend now.
Coffee and a milkshake, love that! Sounds like you are a true WA celeb on tour, doing your rounds Lynne!
I always love to see stories of WA members meeting up within the offline world. Amazing!
Thanks for sharing your "coffee with Jaco" story with us!
It was awesome Kyle and Wednesday Lauren and I get to have a treat day at a spa together :) Bonus!
