I don't use a paid plugin I only use the free plugins so I can't help you with this I am sorry about that but maybe I can help you in the future which I will be glad to do.

It's definitely possible but each sidebar plugin has different functions and each theme will handle differently the sidebar plugins.
The point: if you are sure that your currently activated plugin isn't able to deliver the desired outcome, just find another plugin. There are literally hundreds for any task
