Passionately and compassionately caring for my three grandchildren after my daughter passed away in July 2010 has resulted in a 'fixed income' lifestyle. I am 65 years old, relatively healthy, and want to do more than just make ends meet month to month.

I have a special needs granddaughter who consumes my time when she is awake and that's okay because she is very much loved. This is especially true now that I have decided to homeschool her. My days start early, 5:30 am, so I have some quiet time to read and study. I expect I will find time for my internet based business in these early hours of the day. I am mostly self-driven and a self-starter who in years past served the needs of people and businesses as a health and safety professional, 7 years with a local pollution control agency, 10 years serving as an OSHA professional, and 7 years as Manager of Occupational Safety and Health for a legacy airline.

I have been blessed with great travel opportunities over the years. My absolute favorite place to just 'be' is sitting on a beach with the cascading ocean at my feet or 'blowing bubbles' under the sea as a scuba diver which has been one of my grounding experiences since I was 18 years old.

I am hopeful that becoming proficient in this field will enable me to care for the needs of the grandchildren while opening up a chance for us all to play and travel now and again with each other.

UPDATE: September 7, 2015

So much has transpired after becoming a member here in the WA community. I am still as excited about the possibilities as when I first started. And this with two major stalls over health challenges of close and dear family members that has consumed large segments of my time. I am still here and still learning and still excited.

Kyle and Carson say you can do this with any niche, then I say, ONward and UPward! And when life throws a curve ball, just keep swinging.

UPDATE: December 28, 2016

Today is a milestone! I am happy to say that even with the struggles my family has worked through this past year I still love what I am learning here, looking forward to the live training with Kyle, and feeling positive. I am positively sure that even with my stilted efforts and my prolonged stalls, they are nothing more than that, a stall that I have worked to get under control.

Life is often filled with ups and downs and what I have found is that as long as one does not quit that whatever went upside down will right itself, just like the kayak that capsizes and you just flip it back over right. Well, I'm embarking on a new flip, flipping over a life stalling event and flipping over the next page of this journey. Let's see what next year will do? I have never left our community, only had to sit on the sidelines for a bit. Now its time, three years in, its time to make this endeavor a shining star. So, like Dory, I'm swimming, I just keep swimming, swimming, swimming!!!

UPDATE: January 9, 2018

I have been in deep doo doo over the past year, heart and desire to be here but wondering really what to do....DO! I had been drawn into an ugly legal battle that sucked time and resources and some of my health from me. And then found and became intrinsically engaged in a community that is addressing the terrible loses created by vaccine injuries. Many folks will just turn off and away from me now that I have said this, but the fact is there are way too many significant ancedotal stories that should be driving well designed research into the host of problems parents report about vaccines injuries their loved ones have sustained. My special needs granddaughter is one of those anecdotal stories, so I personally know what I am talking about because I have experienced it.

The fact is I wish I had the energy and time to immerse myself in helping others to do their research before they decide to allow a vaccine, and the fact is I will still advocate and share what I know about this subject. But I have realized I have just one day...each day...in the life of my family and I really need to be making some earnings here. So, this year is the year I take a new tack. Like the sailboat on an uneven keel I will now set a new course, fill my sails with the energy of favorable winds and head downwind with the sun on my back and a star of hope in my heart. Wish me well. With all I have learned in being a part of the WA community, it is my sincere hope this year will be my keystone in time. Wish me well ... my journey continues and together we will all do what we need to do, without the doo doo! Cheers and may your smile emanate from your joyful heart!!!

Money Goals
Anything we want to do in life begins with a goal and I really appreciate that WA helps us all to quantify this, albeit different personal expectation, for each individual. So...

Question #1: I would be happy earning $5,000.00 per month. It will allow me to be generous with those I love and to begin hacking away at the one and only debt I have left, my home. To take a small trips with wise saving of this resource would be lovely as there is no cash flow right now...I barely can go for a short jaunt to go camping.

Question #2: Ecstatic earnings for me would be $25,000 a month. Wouldn't take too long to pay off the house with that and I'd be able to meaningfully engage in reaching out to others (hopefully with some time freedom), to get healthy with some committed exercise, and to go scuba diving now and again without sweating over it.

Question #3: Right now, with discipline, I can probably invest 2 hours in the morning before the kids get up and get off to school, and two hours in the evening, after the baby is finally asleep. How I hope I can do this. Gotta' have the time to make anything happen, and something emerge out of the learning curve.

I agree with the goal setting WA recommends also and totally believe that yours are attainable. Putting that "desire" in your mind so firmly that you won't settle for anything less and you Will make it happen! That is probably the most profound principle in "Think and Grow Rich" by Napoleon Hill. I've been reading some of that book a little every day and find it really inspires me. Anyway best of luck to you!

So awesome Linda, I know from experience that goals are what lead us to success. Work relentlessly in pursuit of these goals and they CAN and WILL happen.

In fact, wipe failure out of your mind right now. It simply won't happen. You have too much help, support and an entire community of help behind you to ever let that happen :)

If you need anything going forward, just let me known and I will be happy to give you a hand.

Thank you...Its endearing that you say "time in there for breathing too" because that is one thing I constantly remind myself to do...to breath because with stress I tend to breath shallowly even holding my breath. not a good practice at all.

So...I will breathe today. Thank you for caring and dropping back a hello.

Hi there Linda, nice to meet you. I'll turn 61 on the 21st. I'm retired and empty nest. Can't image raising grandchildren. Can't imagine losing a child either - so sorry for your loss. Thanks for your follow and blessings on your endeavors. Shirley

Hello Shirley,

Thanks for following back. I look forward to contributions to one another's learning curve. How grand that you have your daughter and grandson to love and cherish as you move into your retirement.

And thank you ever so much for your kind words!!!! I am doing what is necessary but was the only thing to be done as I was NOT going to have my grandchildren raised in a foster home. They will learn and grow and someday appreciate what was done in their behalf.

Keep smiling now...its oh so good for the heart.
