About Lindasea
Joined December 2013
Passionately and compassionately caring for my three grandchildren after my daughter passed away in July 2010 has resulted in a 'fixed income' lifestyle. I am 65 years old, relatively healthy, and want to do more than just make ends meet month to month.

I have a special needs granddaughter who consumes my time when she is awake and that's okay because she is very much loved. This is especially true now that I have decided to homeschool her. My days start early, 5:30 am, so I have some quiet time to read and study. I expect I will find time for my internet based business in these early hours of the day. I am mostly self-driven and a self-starter who in years past served the needs of people and businesses as a health and safety professional, 7 years with a local pollution control agency, 10 years serving as an OSHA professional, and 7 years as Manager of Occupational Safety and Health for a legacy airline.

I have been blessed with great travel opportunities over the years. My absolute favorite place to just 'be' is sitting on a beach with the cascading ocean at my feet or 'blowing bubbles' under the sea as a scuba diver which has been one of my grounding experiences since I was 18 years old.

I am hopeful that becoming proficient in this field will enable me to care for the needs of the grandchildren while opening up a chance for us all to play and travel now and again with each other.

UPDATE: September 7, 2015

So much has transpired after becoming a member here in the WA community. I am still as excited about the possibilities as when I first started. And this with two major stalls over health challenges of close and dear family members that has consumed large segments of my time. I am still here and still learning and still excited.

Kyle and Carson say you can do this with any niche, then I say, ONward and UPward! And when life throws a curve ball, just keep swinging.

UPDATE: December 28, 2016

Today is a milestone! I am happy to say that even with the struggles my family has worked through this past year I still love what I am learning here, looking forward to the live training with Kyle, and feeling positive. I am positively sure that even with my stilted efforts and my prolonged stalls, they are nothing more than that, a stall that I have worked to get under control.

Life is often filled with ups and downs and what I have found is that as long as one does not quit that whatever went upside down will right itself, just like the kayak that capsizes and you just flip it back over right. Well, I'm embarking on a new flip, flipping over a life stalling event and flipping over the next page of this journey. Let's see what next year will do? I have never left our community, only had to sit on the sidelines for a bit. Now its time, three years in, its time to make this endeavor a shining star. So, like Dory, I'm swimming, I just keep swimming, swimming, swimming!!!

UPDATE: January 9, 2018

I have been in deep doo doo over the past year, heart and desire to be here but wondering really what to do....DO! I had been drawn into an ugly legal battle that sucked time and resources and some of my health from me. And then found and became intrinsically engaged in a community that is addressing the terrible loses created by vaccine injuries. Many folks will just turn off and away from me now that I have said this, but the fact is there are way too many significant ancedotal stories that should be driving well designed research into the host of problems parents report about vaccines injuries their loved ones have sustained. My special needs granddaughter is one of those anecdotal stories, so I personally know what I am talking about because I have experienced it.

The fact is I wish I had the energy and time to immerse myself in helping others to do their research before they decide to allow a vaccine, and the fact is I will still advocate and share what I know about this subject. But I have realized I have just one day...each day...in the life of my family and I really need to be making some earnings here. So, this year is the year I take a new tack. Like the sailboat on an uneven keel I will now set a new course, fill my sails with the energy of favorable winds and head downwind with the sun on my back and a star of hope in my heart. Wish me well. With all I have learned in being a part of the WA community, it is my sincere hope this year will be my keystone in time. Wish me well ... my journey continues and together we will all do what we need to do, without the doo doo! Cheers and may your smile emanate from your joyful heart!!!

BOY, OH, BOY!!!

So, it seems we have a common love: water! As I read through your bio, Linda, I had the vision of you sailing with the waves crashing around...but you're still moving forward.

Looking forward to embarking on a new "flip" with you, Linda!

Hi Linda,

I really hope this is the year you can finally focus here like you want to! Good luck and let us know if you want any help! It must be hard to find the time with your duties of grandma and teacher. Luckily you can put this down and pick it up anytime night or day...as you know.

Dear Lady, please do not give up in your attempts to educate the community on the dangers of vaccines. I too am passionately against them, having myself and my children having negative experiences with them. However, as you mention, many are as equally proponents for them and argue that the pros outweigh the cons. I'm so sorry about your grandbaby..she is blessed to have such a bright light as you..keep on being you!!! Cheers!!! Mrs. G

Dear Teresa,

What a kind and encouraging response. I am always glad to meet another parent who gets it when it comes to vaccines. It is just not okay that children are being injured and some even dying every day from the worldwide program.

I put up a couple posts in my website about this. Now that I am going back to writing and bringing my site back to life you may want to drop in and read it. Of course if you think it has value pass it on to others.

I wrote two of them so far... and by no means you are under no to go and check them out. However, if you do ck them out your feedback would be most appreciated.

https://specialneedsadvocatepower.com/should-i-vaccinate-my-child-or-not

My granddaughter had a severe case of hives following some vaccines and it was from that I started digging. I write about this in my post on the flu vaccine:

I hope you are having a splendid, Friday. I hope the 'northers' haven't been too harsh there in beautiful Belize. ;-)

Have updated my Bio...it was time to do so. Doing research into a new website and gaining momentum again. I do not intend to give up. I have never been a quitter. This time, maybe with a focus on something many are seeing as valuable and something not so controversial, I can steer this ship over the rough seas ahead into a safe harbor for my loved ones and I.

May you all have a splendid evening. Write your hearts out and enjoy the WA training and community. There is nothing like it, nothing measures up or equates the value we have here.

Smiles across whatever miles separate us!!!

What an inspiring bio! Thanks for following me Linda. I am looking forward to more good times and success ahead in this new year. It has been great so far and quite a thrill to set up my first website... ever! I will continue to work on the Lessons, reading blogs, asking questions, and moving forward! Like you said, and in the last book of The Chronicles of Narnia, Onward and Upward! or was that Farther up, Farther in! Anyway, the same direction and momentum. Good to know you Linda and I'll see you around the WA community!

Equally delighted to know you too Bob. You have a lovely attitude. I love the saying "your attitude determines your altitude". I expect we will see more great things from you as you grow your business and enjoy the WA community.

While I have been in a slump, terrible stresses around family obligations and a ridiculous legal battle I was drug into, I have stayed a Premium member because I know I will be back to work hard again. That day is about to dawn for me again as I research a new website and the benefits it can bring to others.

Stay well. I look forward to what you will continue to bubble to the surface.

Delightful to meet you here in the WA world. This is indeed a fantastic innovation. It is rich in resources and truly the only thing that can hold you back will be how you use your time.

Life being what it is THAT has been my greatest challenge. It seems that every spring and then a huge glitch this past June with a teen suicide attempt .... and well, time spent on my site has been nearly non-existent. Still, I have put much work into it and I believe there is great potential in it as well. For this reason, I am gradually squirreling away time to write and post and get back in the swing of things.

The lesson? Even if you have to take time off, you can come back and work hard and bring things back to life. I am not a quitter, I expect neither are you.

I hope things will go well for you...and smoothly. I look forward to what you will creatively bubble to the surface. "-) Linda

Thank you, Linda. inspiring - at the same age, i might add. may i ask what you read and study at 5.30am?!

i've been a WA member for a grand total of four hours and have finished lesson one. i'll delve into lesson two, perhaps more, tomorrow and then may be back for solid advice on this new adventure.

Back at ya' friend. Same age...what a hoot! My 5:30 am reading varies from the lessons here at WA, going to reread a blog I may have posted with rested eyes to see if I've missed any typos and misspellings, and often times just trying to keep up with my Bible reading, which can wane with so much busy stuff going on.

What's your 5:30 am look like? I'm tickled pink that you are four hours into WA and have finished the first lesson. The best thing I can tell you is to do the courses, do the related tasks, when you feel stuck don't fret too long over it, drop into LiveChat with a question or post it in the classroom for your lesson, and just keep at this.

I love the website I have created. I am not a quitter so even with very small earnings right now, a trickle has begun, which everyone here says is of course just the beginning of better things to come. SO...I may not be the best for solid advice, but I know this, I have learned allot and usually I can find answers within the 'wealth' of information that is posted within this community.

Hmmm, long answer back...Hope your day is going well. Many here call this a journey, it is for sure an adventure and one that I hope will open up the doors you need open.

thank you, Linda. what's my 5.30 like?!?! Usually warm and snuggled next to my wife…! whereas i'm not doing blogs nor rereading things like you, i do keep up with my Bible reading - nothing like it. may i ask where you are in your Bible reading at the moment? i'm going slowly and somewhat intricately through Philippians - it's been magnificent!

same age - later i read when you wrote that post so you might have a year or two on me - but who's counting?! Certainly not me! we do share the joy of grandchildren however!! we have five, number four born mid November and number five born a week before Christmas. our daughter and daughter-in-law may have a different response to what their 5.30am might look like!! By the way, do you live in the USA?

thanks for your encouragement about sticking with the WA plan. i admit i'm still a bit skeptical. why do i have 37 followers already? i have nothing to follow. or am i being cynical? Do they want me to follow them also; some kind of pyramid scheme? don't know. i'll keep at it until i know more. maybe this is just the right thing for me at the moment and so far it has only cost me time. the get rich scams are just that - scams! and i don't need to get rich, much less do i need to get scammed! i'll stick with it and see what happens.

got a busy day today so i'll close for now. hope you have a good one, especially hoping that a marvelous weekend awaits you.

Hello again, Tom,

My profile has been updated so it is reflecting right on target with my age. "-)

I understand feeling a bit of skepticism, especially if you've surfed and found so many other offerings out there, really who and what should one go with. After over two years with Wealthy Affiliate I am totally convinced that even if there were someone else's program I wouldn't go fishing, I have seen too many folks go check someone else's stuff out and come back again ready to dig in their heels with the resources generously provided here.

And NO this is not a pyramid scheme, not anywhere near such a scammy thing. Here is one of my favorite write-ups regarding following and being followed by Nathaniell. I really like his blog and feel he does an awesome job getting to the point while offering encouragement. He wrote up a couple others about the training you may not know about and how new folks waste money and time...both also worth reading. If you want I will attach them in another response, just don't want to overwhelm you.

Oh, and about that Bible reading,,,,I am currently working through Jeremiah, the shocking history of Israel's disgraceful choices and lack of appreciation and the upcoming demise at the hands of the 'king of the north', Babylon. Insightful reading. I am very grateful for the moments of reflection focused reading in God's word affords me. "Magnificent" is what you said...great word for expressing your appreciation!
It won't take you long to see this community for what it is. No matter who it was that you found WA through, It's just crazy amazing the education and the resources, all for a measly $47.00 per month at the Premium level. It has been worth every penny to me.

Let me know if you end up with any questions or something just doesn't jive. I'll do my best to answer your concern and if I don't know I'll tell you so and go find someone who does. then we both learn.

Linda "-)

thank you, Linda. then we are right at the same age, same stage in life! i wonder who of us is older - really?! my hint to you - July!

appreciate the encouragement with WA. everybody says the same. i can't find any bad reviews any place. and all say it takes time. i still have questions and some doubts, but hopefully today i can run through another lesson or two and find out how this works - really! the last couple of days have been busy, so haven't touched WA except to "follow" a few people - why?, i don't really know yet - and to "talk" with you. so still tons of questions, mixed with doubt and a bit of cynicism - like why i now have 39 followers, i've done nothing and thus nothing to follow, and then i ask myself, why did i "follow" about half of those who are "following" me? i know, Linda, i gotta keep going through the lessons - hopefully with a "now i see" result soon to follow!

Jeremiah, eh? you're into the heavies! The weeping prophet. magnificent reading that must be mixed with the gospel of Jesus - or you'll end up weeping also! with the gospel, you see the hope for the Israelites, as well as for thee and me - today!

back to you but one thing first. you didn't tell me if you're in the USA or not, so i'll tell you i am not! but my first language is English and i live in an English speaking country. can you guess which one from the background of my profile photo?

have a good one, my new found WA friend.

Hello my new WA, friend, and for me Good Morning, Tom!

I expect you could be warm and snuggled up with your wife as it is 6:33 am here and I am guessing you live in NZ from the pic. It seems to me a very volcanic setting behind you, much like some of the areas I have been blessed to see in Hawaii. This makes our time zone differences VERY different if that is so. Hmmmm, I'm thinking might also be the Phillipines, Spanish spoken there too, right? HA...did I get anywhere close?

I hope you will give yourself time to work through the doubts. They are natural, thinketh me "-) when exploring something that has potential to take more pennies from our pocket. One thing is for sure, the only extra money you may want to consider spending is the monthly access fee to the Premium membership. It is stupendous how many other resources have been made available by this company for what amounts to a very small fee. I have likened this to going back to college and only paying $47.00 per month to attend class and to gain access to people who are succeeding and so many other wonderful resources.

Like for instance the WA "Keyword Tool" in the left hand column. It is totally awesome, does much the same thing as Jaaxy which does have a fee, but you certainly don't need right away. I chose to snag that up after a year of being a member here. We can talk about why I like it another time...my point is you don't need Jaaxy right away while in the great big learning curve the classes create.

Another thing I'd like to suggest, as I have seen it from so many members...even though there are those who work more than one site at the same time, many seasoned folks here say to just work on one site, get it doing well then branch out. It will make sense once you start developing your own, it takes time to learn what you need, to get the tasks done and keep the site growing by plugging more and more content into it.

All of this will make more sense as you do the lessons. Kyle and Carson have done a great job with them, powerfully moving one forward while learning. It's very empowering!

In my previous note to you I included a link to a blog that Nathaniell posted some time ago about why follow and be followed. Did you get a chance to read it? He does a good job of explaining that aspect of this community. Why look, we have already developed a friendship from this small beginning of the "following". "-)

It would be great to see you doing well here so that you can continue to manage life well during your retirement and "golden" years with your wife. I believe we were meant to have abundance its just that things got side-railed early on in man's existence and soon that will take a turn for the better. In the meantime we do have to make ends meet and it would be great to have some to share and to plug a little relaxation/fun into the months, and years, "-) of work.

Ha,,,you have me beat by two months in our aging. Too funny a precious soul that I dated some years ago was a July baby and so is my x-husband a July baby. I'm September born. You and your wife are blessed to have each other in these years you are now sharing. I have for the most part been alone since 1984, having rasied my five by myself, ages 3 - 11 when the divorce took place. Plenty of sorrow around that whole mess, and now my oldest gone much because of the trauma related to loosing her dad. It is true what the scriptures say to honor one's marriage, problem is when only one does so. I pray your years together will be filled with joy and that your lives together can be free of significant health problems and retirement is filled with laughter and lots and lots of smiles.

I expect that being a Wealthy Affiliate can contribute to that, if you are able to invest the time to learn this industry and develop your online business. Here is one of my blogs about how much I appreciate this community. Now there is even a new feature for the front page and I will go in to update it,,,just not able to right now...gotta take the ADHD 18-year-old, to a class today so I need to get busy here with family stuff. I hope you enjoy my little ditty. Cheers to you, now Tom, and smiles across the miles!

thanks Linda, but sorry, not even close!! NZ is literally on the other side of the planet from that background photo taken on the Isle of Skye (you might have to look it up) - but we live on the mainland of this wee island! so if it's 6.30am where you are at the moment (8 hours behind us) and if you're in the USA, then you're in the west some place, having avoided the snow blizzard, right?

thanks for your encouragement with WA. actually, i just got back on to continue my lessons and your message came in. no, i have not read the blog you sent to me but now with second notice, i'll check it out soon. in the meantime, i'm going to lesson 2 on course 1, something about how money is made online. if i was following a "scam" i think they promised me that i've at least a $1000 check arrive tomorrow - having done no work....!)

1952 - a vintage year with people like us coming into it!! it was also a magnificent generation for music - mid 60's to late 70's - nothing like before or since, would you agree?

so sorry about your hardships in life but you continue with a positive upbeat attitude. i'm sure you could write a book - of how not to do things and how to do things. if you (we) stick with the Scriptures, follow Jesus closely, yes, our sin will still get in the way, but by and large, we muddle through with grace, forgiveness, mercy and love - the only way to do it. may things go well with the 18 year old - your daughter's child? you're a trooper, Linda. stay in touch as you are able. Blessings, Tom

What a breathtakingly beautiful island...the Isle of Skye. Oh my goodness! A Scottish isle...full of history I expect. Talk about being WAY off...nope not New Zealand

Yes, I am in one of the western states of the USA, Arizona. Not only missed the snow storm but being blessed with balmy weather this week, up to 70 degrees. Lovely, really! Took my crew to the Grand Canyon this past summer, everyone should spend some time there, not the crazy few minutes to gawk and then leave. Rode the train up from Williams AZ and hiked around for a bit before returning then taking them to play on a natural rock slide just north of the famous Sedona area here in Arizona. I want to take the children back to the canyon and do more the next time around. Ha, still paying on that vacation, though.. "-) can only do what the resources allow, ah well.

Yes, we are vintage to be sure. Definitely some good vibes/music from those times. Life does throw stuff at us, so the hardships are just what they are...and I usually can get my head up after a bit of fussing. Not sure about the book to write although I do have some stories, that is for sure. In the meantime, just doing my balancing and juggling act. And ever so thankful for a spiritual family that loves and supports us. How grand our Creator to give us insight into him so that we may draw close to him and be his friend. Yes the 18 year old is my daughter's son, lots of growing to be done there after years being in avoidance mode following his mother's death. Went through a tough year with his middle sister, now 15 years old; depression suicidal ideation, scary and consuming time. And always plenty to do with the baby who is not longer a baby but soon to be 7.

Ah, life. We are getting there. My investment in the children has caused a slow launch for my online business. So, even as the Great Teacher said, "each day is sufficient for its own troubles", therefore take it one day at a time.

So ONward and UPward with those lessons, my friend. If you need to redo a lesson here or there, many have done so in this community to help lock in what is being taken in. "-)

thanks Linda. was off line pretty much after i wrote to you last until right now - about 3.00am your time, i believe. So you're in AZ? i've never been to AZ, but would love to go to the Canyon one of these years! actually, i am a full fledged USA citizen, but we have lived outside the USA since around 1979 - with only a few extended stays, and those usually in the Philly area, or perhaps in GA. of course, I've made many trips back over the pond, but never long enough to take any kind of holiday in the USA - like to the Canyon!

as a consequence of being off line for a bit, WA prep got put on hold a bit. i am sensing that the learning curve is high coupled with time commitments and other stuff going on, that zap my time and energy from learning properly. had i known i only have a week (to catch the bargain price for premium) to find out if WA was for me, i would have waited until the waters become a bit more still before beginning. at the same time, since i believe we have developed an honest, upfront relationship via WA, i would love to pick your brain - but in "private" about how this all works - but i'm not a premium client yet. you are very encouraging about WA while not promising me the kitchen sink, like a full fledged scan does, they do "promise" success if i just keep up with it. i'm beginning to see that "keeping up with it" means enormous time spent on getting a magnificent web page up and running, that actually attracts thousands, if not hundreds of thousands to it, in order to make any kind of money, and i'm not looking to become a millionaire. but i'm not sure i have the ability, time and energy needed (according to my understanding) to develop a top notch web page that gets a top billing on the first two pages of Google, for example, or any other viable search engine.

so have i totally misconstrued this? am i not seeing things accurately? can you point me to your web pages and give me an idea of approximately how many hours you have spent designing them and, if you don't mind, an approximate earnings (see why I'd rather do this in "private"?) but as i said, i'm not yet a premium member - as i'm not totally convinced that this is for me - although i have not given up on it quite yet.

hope i'm making some sense. and hope you have had a good weekend. stay in touch as you are able. Tom

Hello dear Rebecca!

how kind of you to drop in and leave your sweet encouragement. Great news that you are keeping at your work on your site. You will see it continue to grow the more you put into it.

Did you find the answer to getting the widgets set into the site. Plug widgets into the ask bar at the top of your screen, you will find many resources to figure it out. I was kind of stuck with it too, but found a tutorial, I think it was from Mario Black that fixed it for me.

Sending you many smiles and fond wishes for your health and happiness. Your kindness is most appreciated!

Hi Linda!
Many wishes for a Happy and wonderful New Year!
It's like everyday I discover something new here at WA! I have had so many wonderful people here to help me and I just plug along and go for it. I am still working on my widgets.. LOL! But I had published my site and didn't realize I was on a pg 2 of Google! :0 I am still working on it and I am terrified it will get bad ratings! But anyway, I am still going to add additional blogs and see what happens.

Wishing you all the best from here in New York!
Happy New Year!

Hello Dear Rebecca.

Just be sure you are in an "incognito" window in your browser so you get an accurate read about your rank in Google. Google kindly keeps tabs "-) on where you have been and will take you back there.

I was surprised with page one rankings early on and discovered it wasn't so. Not a problem becasue I had allot more I wanted to create in order to develop more of that 'authority' Kyle talks about.

Keep at this...it does come together. When I get home from a meeting I am off to I will send you a link for the widget stuff. Just gotta' run right now.

Kind regards,

Linda

Linda: You are the same age as my Ruthie (of 39 years) and a mere youngster to me. I am sorry to hear of your daughter's death in 2010. I am not sure I would be able to handle the death of one of my children.

I too have been blessed with unbelievable travel opportunities and both Ruthie and I love to walk on the beach (any beach) at sunset.

Hi Linda. Just wanted to touch base with you. I have been struggling with my website and have finally got on the move again. It mostly has to do with content. Just wanted to let a friendly member know I haven't given up! Lol...

lindasea Premium
Oh my, Rebecca! So sorry to hear you have been struggling. I know this can be frustrating when you know you have so much to do and it just seems like you can't move it off of the proverbial dime.

I get stuck sometimes trying to write too. Every single blog I write requires research for my subject and so there are times I don't have time to research SO then I don't get anything posted either. Bummer!

Here is what I know. Just start doing something and as the flow begins the juices of creativity start to rise up too. And whatever you do, slip some of your humor and wit into it and watch that blossom!

What's great is you have chosen to send a hello to let me know you are "on the move again". Let's do a little Irish jig together, okay?

And don't ever give up! You are going to hit a glitch here and then and get stuck now and again too. But these things will pass, as they say, and I believe that you can do this.

Thank you for including me in your day!!!

Hello Lillian.

Very kind of you to drop in with a hello. While it may appear I have just chosen to become Premium, that isn't so really. I needed to change an administrative thing to have my annual membership paid for through PayPal and currently the only way to make that change was to cancel my membership, then resubscribe and chose PayPal as the method to pay going forward.

I wrote about my 3 minute departure in this blog: Too funny! But hey its good to meet you here. From you profile it looks like you will bring your business savvy into your own online presence. I am excited for you.

Yes...I am very blessed. It is too bad the children fell into anger after their mother passed. I understand it and have tried so very much tried, and not always succeeded, in keeping their terrible losses in perspective. The two oldest lost their dad in 2003, then mom in 2010. No child should ever have to go through life without their parents! Breaks my heart for them and so we just keep plugging along.

One day, I hope, they will look back and see who was in their corner ever and always, holding up a standard for their welfare and happiness.

Thank you for your kind words.

Hey Linda
I'm back on air. What would you know? NZ telecom decided to do a weekend upgrade of services on Nelson mall borough region over weekend. But am now wifi ready. All good here. Humbled. Loved and feeling grateful but maybe I'm a selfish man.. I miss london; God knows why. And miss being able to sit at the lake in the park with my memories and my loves favorite spot. This is going to be a long hard journey. Looking good for work. Need to keep my brain occupied. Too much time to think is not a great thing. Sending love. Xxx

Hey there, back at ya' my dear friend!

Sent you a PM to make sure I have closed the loop, and checked on my email too.

GREATnews! That you are wifi ready is good and will make sure that you are indeed able to stay busy. When my mother, whom I cherised passed away it took me two solid years to muddle through the depression over her loss. And what I have found is we never really ever stop hurting when we go back to those feelings, they just somehow become less predominant, less able to suck the life out of our day, our thoughts, our emotions.

You already have a leg up on your "long hard journey". And while we have all read it and heard it, been told it, time does facilitate healing. Here is a quote I found the other day that had resonated with me. I saved it for you because I thought it might also resonate with you.

Sending love and appreciation back to you across these many miles now... and smiles....yes because a smile will lighten your heart! "-)
