I have posted a blog, meant to encourage and share a YouTube with everyone for encouragement. When I publish the blog the YouTubes are deleted. What do I need to fix?
Sadly, this did not work for my WA blog post. I agree with you though it ALWAYS works for my website and I have used this method many times for salient videos there.
I do appreciate your feedback and contribution, just the same! "-)

When you edit your YouTube video, you'll see a Video URL which will have it in the following format:
https://youtu.be/H5A2Uh9ssoY
WA does not allow parameterized URLs so you will need the above. At least this is the way it used to be, unless the rules have changed.
Great question!
(I havent been using the WA blog really. (I am mainly here for the training and to build a website and blog on that website rather than blog on here within WA.)
However, you got me wondering and now I would like to know the answer too !
I ran a couple of tests myself :
(1) Created a test blog here on WA went to you tube and clicking 'SHARE' then copying and pasting the link into my blog. When I published the blog, the link was clickable and worked.
(2) Created a test blog here on WA went to you tube and clicked SHARE , 'EMBED' (I copied the iframe html code and pasted that in the blog) ... that just published the html code on the blog !
So if anyone figures out if
(1) we can embed videos in our blogs (so that you can see the video from within the blog)
(2) can do clickable images on our blogs here too - would be nice to know :)
Thanks everyone :) Ali
You don't say what blog you are trying to add it to. Some blogs won't allow off-site links. You also don't say what type of link you are trying to share. YouTube has two types. Which one are you using?
I haven't been doing videos on my site. It's my understanding that videos are treated as though they were simply pictures. Both go into the media section.
Just a little info if the video has any type of affiliate link connected to it or has ads within the video or page it is not allowed here.
Good to know Tommy. That could be the problem, will have to go look for this possible issue as I know there was an smeared across the bottom of one. Should be able to edit that out though and be able to share the music with everyone.
I'll see..
The blog was not deleted I understand from your lines. So the video link was not deleted, it was not add properly. Try to add it as a link only, not as a window. System does not accept it. I have experienced this before.
So when you add a link, press enter to go to next line. This should produce link. Go to your blog and edit in this way, save and publish.

How do I insert a youtube link into a wa blog?
I have posted a blog, meant to encourage and share a YouTube with everyone for encouragement. When I publish the blog the YouTubes are deleted. What do I need to fix?
Yes, it is a WA blog. Gonna go back and see if any of these suggestions will help to fix it, like 'musicman99' s suggestion below.
Hey there, Allison.
Been still trying to figure this out...maybe not the best use of my time. I just wanted to share the music of this wonderful guitarist with everyone. His music is remarkable and I found myself riveted and uplifted all in the same space in time.
I think that TommyDillard (comment below) probably has it right. While I hoped that my WA post would be encouraging, I didn't see the point of keeping it live when the videos weren't accessible. Perhaps I will figure it out another time and put it back out there as a few moments to change gears. We all need that from time to time.
From across the pond...sending smiles!
Linda
thanks Lindasea :) I actually appreciated this post as I would have liked to have created WA blogs with embedded videos and clickable images too, (didn't realise you couldn't) so now we know :) thanks. I did try musicman99 suggestion on the WA blog and it doesn't work - I think musicman99 is refferring to html shortcut code that you would put in your wordpress blog (in text mode, not visual mode) I assume :) (correct me if I am wrong please ) :) thanks.
Yes, Allison, I believe you are correct that he is referring to getting the code into our websites, not here in our community.
There is a way to do this, because I have done it before as in my blog post A Moment to Breathe ... It however did have an advertisement that scrolled across the screen right at the beginning too. It may be likely that our WA team is just improving the mission of not having any spamming done, and so have made any YouTubes that have the ads not load.
Still drilling down on this though. In the meantime, I'm back into getting some writing done for my site.
Cheers

I have a brand new review page published on December 18th. When I try to check it's site rank it is coming up on page 1 position 9 with the correct url right under the query a
From the screenshots below I see you are checking your keywords with dashes. You should check them WITHOUT dashes.
Jaaxy is returning the results it finds indexed in Google based on what you search, so if it's returning other pages, it's probably looking at things like your blog roll or pages where you have "related posts".
For example, your recent post will still contain words on the page from other posts like in a widget or footer.
Try searching without dashes for your keywords and it should clear up the issues.
Google customizes results. Jaaxy results would be incognito. So, if you are doing a logged in search, you will see different results than if you do an incognito search.
Location also is a factor. Jaaxy is anonymous but you will have a location tag even when searching incognito.
Let me see if I understand. I was using Jaaxy to check the site rank of this recent page, so I was logged into Jaaxy. Because Jaaxy is anonymous I should be seeing the specific page I asked to find the site rank on, right?
Here are two images to show what I asked for and what is listed. It is as though the results are contradictory.
Does this make sense? I am not looking for this site rank info from Jaaxy in an incognito window. Do you recommend I log into Jaaxy from an incognito tab?
Jaaxy's results are incognito so no need to log into it incognito.
Those are different keywords so will not have the same results. I guess I'm confused as to what you are asking. You are comparing apples and Watermelons.
Thank you for taking time to look at this with me. Sometimes explaining by being brief doesn't always come across clearly.
I often times use Jaaxy to check on the rank of a post or page I have written. it is so cool to see where it is, if its improved or dropped in page rank with Google.
Many times a page I have written, as presented by Jaaxy, is on page 1. I have a few that have been there and two specifically that have gone to page 1 position 1 and then down to position 3 or 5 but still on page 1.
The post I made public on Dec. 18th, is an important one, to me, as I am hoping the review can bring in my first ever earnings.
The url for that page is:
http://specialneedsadvocatepower.com/smoke-escape-masks-review-your-best-option-the-xcaper-smoke-mask
But what the Jaaxy result is showing, even though I have asked for the rank on this page, seems to be ranking this url because that is what is listed in the column of items for the page (page 1 position 9)
http://specialneedsadvocatepower.com/fire-emergency-procedures-for-special-needs-families
I have linked the two pages to one another in the narratives where appropriate on the respective page.
My confusion comes from the results of the query. It is indicating the correct url is ranking from the entry directly under the rank results but in the list of the items the page that is credited at position 9 is the post from October, not this one I just published.
Am I misunderstanding something or is there a glitch in the Jaaxy results? I don't mean to be a pest, just want to figure this out, 'cause if I am the problem then I'd like to identify that and git it fixed.
You are a good apple. Thank you for taking time to try and understand.
