you could go to the halway house if you want and use a block theme - basic template and adding your design in the blocks....
and then start work on an oxygen site....or try the breakdance builder - free or paid...
the oxygen site will be the most interesting and frustrating - you may still need plugins or why not get ai to help when you get stuck....
don't think of seo anymore - think visitor experience...get it so that it is easy to use, navigage and has loads of useful content for your niche...
you may need to promote it more nowadays as google is tending to summarize sites as answers...but it is not impossible to get highly ranked...
or just stick with the fast themes, blocksy, kadence, oceanwp, generatepress, astra...apparently hello them is a relatively blank one for elementor to sit on- so maybe a dose of css with that theme...
i think someone who has oxygen has also done a backup theme for it...
as oxygen replaces any theme then you will be building from scratch - planning and knowing what you are going to build rather than just winging it are very important.....

there are plenty of tutorials for oxygen for a local site - or even the templates - depending on what package you bought....
i would go for a block template if you need to get it up quickly with an oxygen one in the background on a siterubix....
thank you. I just very quickly built out a temp website on a 'beacons' link builder... to buy me a bit of time... so now I can take a bit of time doing an actual website properly. I have always utilised these quick link builders, but once and for all want to put in the hard work of a proper website with all of the possibilities.

My website has been restored to the last system backup! Thank you for all your help. This helped me so much, yet I did still lose my most recent changes (thankfully not much to redo) , so note to self and others BACKUP, BACKUP , BACKUP :)
If anyone is following this thread, I had a reply from my support ticket within fifteen minutes to say they are working on the issue and would post an update. Fantastic service WA :) and thank you Loes.
Loes you are wonderful! I suspected that was the case, its just a huge reminder to backup! Loes, do you happen to know if they keep multiple backup dates or if I would lose the backup I need if the system automatically backups today (backing up the mistakes) , I would love to know if you do happen to know :) Thanks so much for taking the time to reply! I truly hope they keep multiple backups, they are backing up every two days, when something goes wrong in those two days, you loose everything, that can't be true

This is a FB marketing question rather than a WA question - can I set out a scenario?... A local band want me to set up a FB page. Yet I want to also market to relevant niche g
Facebook has made it very difficult to do this. They have done yet another algorithm change that makes this fruitless.
I recommend that you create a Google + page. As well as a site for them. Google + has the added benefit of being searchable and rankable in the search engines.
Thank You very much for your input Labman. I am setting up a website and I was absolutely planning on a Google+ page too (as I want a You tube channel too). Actually , funnily enough, on the admin front I would have a similar question. Assuming a local band has no you tube presence and I am to be the marketing consultant (it is actually for my partners band) , yet I want to get into consultancy so I am taking a more professional view of it all)... so I first need to set the band up with a Google Account in order to do YT and G+ - again - if it is a band, same problem - you need to asign a Google Account to ONE PERSON.. for local marketing, do you have a suggestion of the best practice for this decision. EG what if a member of the band leaves? Sorry to bang on about the same thing, yet I want to be a good local marketer and I cannot quite think of the best advice. Say for example a band had three members... JON, FRED, AND TOMMY. Say they all have EXISTING google accounts already - eg say they all use Gmail. Now I would assume that as a marketing consultant, they would not want me to access all their personal gmails, yet they may want me to manage their YT and what if a band member leaves - so again, how would you set this up? Lets assume a band of 3 members all with existing Google Accounts but no You Tube accounts. I wanted to set up a new gmail account relevant to the band and then set up the you tube channel and G+ page, yet who would you choose - JON, fred or tommy??? Do you know if (again) you can set up a Google Account as a business (eg a band) ? This is so much more an 'admin' question than anything else really ... I feel a little out of my depth with getting this right in case I took on local marketing and I was asked best practice... I would not (at this stage) know the different answers :) ANY help would be appreciated :) I will try to help back whereever/whenever :)
Thank you for your input KatKat :) and with absolutely no disrespect to yourself or to Craig.. I agree a G+ page is great.. yet I will be doing that alongside. The question here is how to utilise FB groups for businesses when FB pages do not 'link' to FB groups... only profiles link to FB groups...
As I read it at the moment you can't I am no fan of FB so no expert but I don't think you can at the moment and I have read this year that FB have been deleting pages they don't agree with
Create a Fan Page and forgo the Groups. FB is limiting these on purpose so that to promote there you need to Pay to Play.
