Curious... When I use the Keyword search tool and receive results, I notice that the View Results is showing an amount of sites containing the same keywords that is a much lowe

Here are some resources to help explain QSR and rank a bit more, just in case the other answers were not sufficient :) I hope this helps!

Thx Nathaniell! Excellent info!!

Thanks for asking this. Some very useful info in the answers.

You're welcome. It's nice to have such overwhelming support with responses.

KatieMAc has something there

The keyword tool shows the amount of competitor for the exact keyword phrase while if you type in Google, without quotation mark every other websites that revolve about the keyword will also show up. Because keyword is one of the most important but it's not the only thing you need to focus on.

Thank you for that explanation.

Good topic and info.

Marty

this might be able to shed a bit more light on things

Thx... Just read that actually! Someone said Darwyn had a good training article and it explained it very well.

glad you have got the gist of it as we say here

try the search with quotation marks around it.

Thx... Darwyn also mentioned that on his training. It was very good. It was interesting to learn the difference between google and the keyword tool.

The keyword tool shows you HOW MANY RANKED sites contain the exact phrase you searched for..

Google shows you total pages out there containing this phrase. If you want to find the real number........watch the video Darwyn gave you the link to.

Thx... Ya... I watched the video. Great info!

I was going to point you to Robert's training but Darwyn beat me to it.

lol Thanks!

When using Google like this it uses everything that you have typed in eg. cdb - oil - benefits. Check out Robert's training. Hope this helps.
Cheers
Darwyn

Thanks Darwyn,

Marty

Email Marketing

I am looking to launch an email marketing campaign. I don't have a list of email addresses so I will need to buy one. Any guidance on this topic is appreciated! Thank you!

I would collect emails from site visitors!

See Nathaniel has give you good direction and advice

I'm not sure that buying an email list is actually a legit thing to do....but feel free to correct me on that.

An email marketing campaign will depend on the audience, how the emails were collected, the offers you plan to send, etc etc. It's pretty complex, so there's no real "best" formula. The two basics you need to start with is WHO am I going to email and HOW am I going to make money. In there should also be what value you plan to bring to these people, which is connected to how you make money.

Yes. Thank you. I'm more concerned about the content and the objective of making money. I do not have a daily or weekly product, so I'm still researching for some guidance and suggestions on other types of campaigns. I wasn't looking to buy email addresses, but if I were, does WA advise against it? Isn't that one of the advantages to email marketing?

Thanks for the link. I'll watch the video. I'm sure it will help clear things up! Thank you Nathaniell!

I must have misunderstood - from your question it sounded like you wanted to buy a list. As far as I know, it's kind of sketch to buy and sell email addresses, but tbh I don't know all the ins and outs of it. I know you can purchase "solo ads" which is sending your offer to a list that someone else has collected, but you don't actually get access to those addresses. They send out the offer for you.

The content of your emails will depend heavily on what you promote and how you plan to promote it. There's tons of ways to do it. The main thing to keep in mind is to provide value to the person to get them interested in whatever your offer is.

Take a look at the webinar, and see what questions you have and we'll be happy to answer them!

Thanks again. No... I'm not buying a list. I meant that I thought that buying emails was a part of the whole campaign process. I haven't got a chance to watch the webinar yet, but I will very soon. I appreciate all your help!

See tutorial by Jay on email marketing.

Great question I am informed.

Marty

Get response is better than aweber.

Thank you greatly. While waiting for responses, I did some digging and just came across that information. Kyle put out a 14 slide presentation about it. Just found it right as you replied. Thank you! Now I must research to find how to set up a full operation.

Will you please share the link with the training Kyle did?

Absolutely... It is very helpful. There is a 30 free trial then $19.99/mo, but it's a lot cheaper if you go ahead for the quarterly or annual rate. You know your niche is your life and Kyle recommends Aweber.com hands down, so long-term seemed logical. Enjoy! I did!!

Thank you kingshopper, for Email Marketing that Kyle gave you. I'm going to look into it, I hope the best to you on your success.

You are awesome! Thank you and I'll go back and watch that again (it's been long, long ago....) :-)

I'm so happy you are able to benefit! Prosperous wishes to you as well!

Authoring & Writing Content
Updated

Hi everyone. I am deeply involved in Holistic Medicine and often times I write an article about very serious topic that is relevant to everyone alive. This is a rare event.

No you can write about what you want so long as it is not something that could cause offense or selling stuff

Hi, I'm sure it will be fine if you tailor the blog in such a way that it will relate to overcoming the stress of starting an online business.

I'm sure you saw this already but, this one, in my opinion seems to be the one most people have a hard time understanding for some reason,

8. Do not post content that is irrelevant to the online business world or your respective journey through the online world. Anything that is "niche" specific should be posted on your external websites.

Your blog doesn't have to be related to WA in any way if you don't want it to be. Likewise, you don't have to be promoting WA.

Wonderful. Thank you. I appreciate the feedback. Looks like I'm going to edit it just a bit and post it!

It seems to me that almost anything goes. Some people use that platform when they are stuck and need help. Others to share an update regarding their success within WA. Religion and politics are not supposed to shared here, but I think if it is done tastefully and not argumantly you'll be ok. The key rule is don't be offensive to anyone.

Thanks,

Edward Mijarez

Wonderful! As long as I follow Kyle's guidelines, the article will be fine. I wrote it because I was totally stressing out one day. I felt a deep burning sensation in my chest and realized it was stress attacking me physically. Researching it to find exactly how dangerous stress is compelled me to blog about it. As I am in Holistic Medicine, it is very applicable. Thank you for your support and feedback!

Blogs are how are you doing your progress with WA and anything you want to give that your a expert on and that in return can help give you ideas on a website to sell something I was told a good Niche comes from what pains we have and giving the solution to those pains I guess with your blog the solution is to be stress free. I hope you the best.

Hey, Thx Edward. Good sound advice!

Blogs can be about anything under the sun. But we are bound by some rules set by the system . You may want to go over @ I hope this helps.

Thank you. Kyle's description declares the relevancy of blogs.

"My Blog - Have a thought you want to share? Have an epiphany the other day that you would like to let others know about? Have a piece of advice? Have a story to share? Are you in the know of a new technique or industry news? Frustrated? Moving in the right direction? Want to track your progress via daily updates? Post it on your blog. Your blog is powerful in the sense that the more you engage here, the more often people will come to know you as a contributor and socialize within your content. A blog can lead to credibility and increase your ability to write/communicate your ideas. Aim to utilize your blog on a regular basis!"

This is great information. really answers my question. I greatly appreciate it.

Steph offered a tutorial on Blog Rules to help clarify your great question.

Thank you that was helpful. If I make a few changes to the article, it would then fall within the guidelines. Great Help!

You squared that nail head on target.

Thank you. So with that great reply are you persuading me to forego the posting or share it? I appreciate the reply

Hey! I think you should post that blog. Whatever will help people with life and anything should be posted here.

Thx for the feedback!

Yes, the blogs in WA are meant just for online business related topics, including your journey as an online business owner. Of course, some people do not follow this rule, but it's a rule nonetheless.

Occasionally posting stuff from your personal life is fine, since it relates to the transformation of yourself and your business, and also keeps your followers up to date with big life events.

It's kind of a grey area sometimes.

Posting something about stress causing cancer *could* be relevant if you emphasize that as business owners we shouldn't stress all the time, or something like that. However, I wouldn't turn your WA blog into a cancer-cure blog. That stuff is best for your own website.

Hope this makes things a bit clearer~

I developed and published my site. It loads excellent for me on the laptop that I built it from, but neither my phone or anyone else's PC will load... the hour glass just keep

So did you get this resolved Corey?

what is your site address??

same

I have replaced my theme per recommendation. It definitely looks like comments are available right now and the links work from my smart phone... can anyone else see?

Comments are enabled here:
http://onlinemoneymaker.xyz/make-money-online-from-home-on-amazon

I'll check your other pages also. Any pages in particular that you would like us to check?

I appreciate you checking it! I think all is well. I've been fighting this for a week! Now time to collect comments!

I would back it up and change your theme, or check your plugins or even your cache ,, is your theme responsive

It is responsive to me, but only on the laptop from which is was installed.

that is strange I tried both your sites and they loaded just fine

www.onlinemoneymaker.xyz. I was just advised by GarySkoglind to backup my site replace the theme with another and then reinstall it back. If I do that... I'll have to figure out how to replace page files.

I just tried your link and it's working.

My page... or my blogs? My blogs is where i'm getting the complaints on eternal load.

Opens up for me. Are you using chrome, btw?

If I try to go to blog links that are in the widget on the right of the page from my phone and my page just spins.

OK, got it. Your blog roll set-up is messed-up!
I get to the blog roll by clicking on the menu tab 'blog something'.

The fix.

Do you want your visitors landing on the same page every time they log on? If so, why?

If you want them to go to blog roll, set your landing page to "latest posts". You set how many you want to display (I have mine set to 10)

Then you can get rid of the menu tab 'make money blog'

As it is, you displaying the complete post in your blog. Shorten that so only an excerpt shows and add a featured image.

To do that, open a post in edit mode. Click on screen options (right upper corner of screen) and check the box "excerpt". You have to do that ONLY oncde. That adds a field below the editor where you can hand craft what you want to say.

Check my site to see what I am talking about. URL on my profile page

If questions, get back with me

John

The links in your "Recent Posts" list aren't working nor is the menu link to your "About Me" page. I'm not sure what's going on.

this may be a loooong drawn out process.

look here first.

if using wordpress....... see image below.

Hi JAHBOBCLATO. How did you get 'views'? I only have 8 Screen Options.

Looks like Robert has you covered

Hello
Due to the last Wordpress Update you now have to manually enable comments in pages and posts.
To do this you go into your pages/posts page and when you hover over an individual post you should see the words - quick edit

Click on that and it will drop down and you then simply tick the - allow comments - box and update.
Robert

Robert... thank you for your input. I have every post and post page set to allow comments. I even went through the WA step by step tutorial... my settings match exactly. It fixed one websites... www.onlinemoneymaker.xyz, but for some separate reason... by blogs aren't loading on anyone's phone or PC but they all load for me. The site not allowing comments is www.cannabisholism.com.

I went to your two sites and I couldn't see any comments section in either one.
Did you actually try what I suggested in my last reply?
Your sites are also very slow at loading so perhaps you have a dodgy plugin.
Robert

I have found that after the update on some themes there is a comment tab on the top of each post and page that you must click to get to the comments section. Could this be what is happening?

I wish it were that easy. I have every comment checkbox selected as everyone has instructed me. I watched a video that even spelled it out. I must be having a serious template issue.

maybe. One last chance, did you go into Dashboard > All Posts > and hover over the name of your posts one at a time and click quick edit and check the box there to allow comments? Same with each page :)

Hi kingshopper. Did you resolve this issue? If not, try another theme and see if you have the same problem.

Not really. It appears I have a Theme issue. All my comments settings are right according to what everyone is telling me, my comments show up for me now, but my posts (from the widget link) won't load. I'm going to remove and reinstall my theme.

Keep us up to date.

Will do.. I'm In the process of replacing the theme. I'm just going to try a new one altogether. I'm deciding between two at the moment.

I followed the video to a "T" all my settings match what was shown. I still have no comments. Could this be a template issue??

Hi kingshopper. Possibly. Some themes don't allow for comments in certain areas. What theme are you using?

It's called Creative

Hi kingshopper. Is this the one? (See screenshot).

Yes!

Outstanding! I'll read it and let you know if I am unsuccessful. Thank you greatly!
