Hi there,

I've asked very similar question in the past. I'm using this website:

http://www.brokenlinkcheck.com/broken-links.php#status
to find broken links on

Hey Marek,

I found out the hard way that broken link checker plugins do not function well on WA hosting servers ... so using http://www.brokenlinkchecker.com is your best bet.

Here what I THINK is the issue ... there appears to be an image missing (or a link to visit the site from the image) on line 353 of your page. See screen print below...

And ... 353 appears to be in your comments... See second screen print.

Hope this helps you.

Broken link has now been removed, thank you very much :)

You're very welcome Marek.
Glad this helped you.

There is a plugin for checking links.

Thanks,

The broken link is in the comments. The user Josh has left his link when writing the comment and his website is no longer online http://moneywithjosh.com is the broken link. Go to your comments and edit the comment by Josh and remove his URL

Thanks a lot, I've now found it and removed.

Marik, here are a couple of images for my explanation.

The checker is the WP plugin.

The illustration page is what you get when you go to Dashboard, Tools, Broken Links. Unfortunately I don't have any to show at the moment so I will try to 'talk' you through!

On the page you will get a description of the broken link. Under that on the left you will get a series of options. The one I almost always use is 'Link not Broken'. Just because you are told you have one it ain't necessarily so!

Before doing anything go to the menu on the right and view the link page. When you get to that page on your site the link in question should have a cross out line on it. Click on it to see if it really doesn't work. If that isn't the case and the link is fine do what I said above.

At this point I will stop as I can't remember all the steps. But let me know if this works. If I get another broken link I will check out all the words.

Thanks for your answer :)

I've had a simliar problem. Using SEM Rush, it kept warning me of a few broken links, but when I checked them they worked fine. If you're using SSL, it may be because you're linking out to a non-SSL site.
Also, I'm not familiar with the tool you're using. If it's not telling you the exact link on the page that's broken, it could be from a user comment below (Sorry, I'm responding on my phone and haven t checked out your page yet).
I was getting annoyed by Google Pagespeed telling me my images were not optimized... I finally figured out it was the avatar pictures of those leaving comments. I disabled avatars and the problem was solved... but you never know where you might find something on the page that's causing you problems.

Thanks a lot for your input.

Hi all,
Help me please to find information about opening, managing and runing amazon shop, how do I go about setting one up. I will be gratefull for all information, sources

Glad you asked the question. I too am exploring several e-commerce sites. I have not had experience with Amazon but they are on my list. I look forward to reading replies from the members. Thanks

Wayne

Many replies has been given already.

Thanks for asking...good answers below. Debbie

Glad it helps.

I have been an Amazon Affiliate since 2008. I have several Amazon and I manage a few for clients. I recommend asking Marion Black. She is very sharp and she has been at WA long enough to understand any question you may have.

Thanks for the answer.

Well, I did have one, but my passion was driven somewhere else.

As long as you make money there.

I am a Amazon seller. I am currently working on a training program for all here at WA. What in particular were you looking at? Third party selling or offering a private label?

Hey Seahawk, hello again. I am particularly interested in your experiences at Amazon. What kinds of items do you sell on Amazon? My experience here is that most Amazon sellers I have met are selling e-books or other items they create and/or offering things they enjoy in their niche. My task is bit different. I am preparing to market a series of specific and unique items manufacturer by a third party company that is employing me targeted to a specific industry. That industry is specialty chemical building products to the construction trades. I am finding very little useful advice on how to do this best.

It is very simple. You can open a personal account at first to be able to access the "Seller University" and look through all of its information (Doesn't take that long).
The Seller University will aid you in how to make your listings, what type graphics are allowed, and how to use the appropriate search terms (keywords) to place your items in front of potential customers.
I would say to start there to get familiar with Amazon.

After you do that, I can give you direction of how to tie it all in together to a website and be able to use sponsored ads (targeted advertising) to bring more attention to your product.

You can get into Seller Central from your normal Amazon account by clicking on "sell" on the top menu. Open up an "Individual Selling Account" (you can upgrade to a professional account at any time) and take the tour, then take the learning courses.

Look forward to hearing back from you.

Greg

thank you that is kind of direction I have been seeking.

Yes Greg my client has an Amazon seller account. I am trying to figure out how to maximize the entire process. I just post a question here regarding my first challenge in this campaign.

My pleasure... any theme can work. If you use Amazon FBA, you can link your site to it to help with your automation.

FBA is not really practical for this company as it greatly increases production and inventory costs. Perhaps if and when we get our volume up it might pencil out a little better. Still I am hoping to find a way to link the new site to Amazon. I might have to 'double-dip' by becoming an Amazon affiliate and collecting a commission from both Amazon and my client. That would allow me to link ads an such from my site to Amazon.

look forward to your training. I am looking at 3rd party selling.

Wayne

I'm looking to have my own shop on Amazon, perhaps separete to my website, a business where I can make profit from selling physical goods on Amazon, I think it's something similar to dropshipping.

Not necessarily. Amazon is very particular about how their products are fulfilled. You must either send your products in to have them fulfilled by Amazon or you must fulfill them yourself. Amazon is very time sensitive about how quickly their customer base receives ordered products. If you plan to dropship, your best bet would be to do it through your own website. If your dropshipper "drops the ball" and delays your shipment, Amazon will penalize you and restrict or ban your seller account.

If you plan to use Amazon, you should have physical product in hand to ship to your customers if you plan to fulfill the orders yourself. In most cases, it's better to use FBA (Fulfillment by Amazon) allowing Amazon to take care of everything for a fee. During this, anyone can click on your company name and see all of the products you have to offer. In addition, you can have your website tooled to what you are selling and place a "fulfilled by Amazon" tag on your products to when your customer clicks on the product with the appropriate link installed, it takes them to your Amazon product page and your customer can order the product with the comfort of Amazon's reputation.

I too am interested in any of this type of training, direction and advice. My experience here at WA has resulted in me becoming contracted to a medium sized US based manufacturer of construction products and chemicals to run their online Amazon store and direct traffic through it through online marketing efforts.

I am tasked with understanding and effectively accomplishing everything that goes with funneling traffic to a purchase through their Amazon store. It is a lot different than the standard effort here at WA of becoming an Affiliate of Amazon and I am still trying to grasp all that involves.

A lot to learn but we will get there.

There is a good article here at Wealthy Affiliate. You can find it here :

Thank you, Darleen.

Hey Marek,

Premium themes can save you from having to use extra plugins. It's the old adage ... ya' get what ya' pay for.

Thanks, I use only paid themes.

Sorry I can't help - I'm still learning about all this. Good luck!

Thanks.

great advice

wow, it really is.

I'm not sure where you found that. I made a list of the steps for setting up website on WA that was from the first training session videos with Kyle. (I'm doing multiple websites, so I needed the list.). It contains much of what you have on that list. Not the plugins though other than the All In One.

The all in one SEO is already included with blog. He walked us step by step of what we needed to do for the all in one SEO. He did not say anything about the other plugins.

I've tried to minimize plugins because they can slow down the site.

Thanks for answering, so in your opinion the All in one seo is not needed at all? This list is an advice from Jay, a very well known and the best expert on the whole WA.

I'm getting my information for Kyle, who is also the other very well known expert on WA affiliate also. Lol. I'm using All In One personally.

Ultimately, it is your decision. How old is Jay's list and training? Things are constantly changing in SEO world.

Best wishes.

List has not been added there that long time ago, I too use all in one seo. :)
