There's no penalty for changing hosting. As long as you move it properly, everything will be as is was before.

As long as you set it up exactly the same at the new hosting there should be no penalty.

Will changing hosting affect google index?

Hello Zeea. Yes you can do that within WordPress, with a little tweaking. With normal WordPress functionality you can only create groups of posts under specific categories but by adding a plugin called the "Category Sticky Post" plugin, you can then add one sticky post per category page.

Hope that helps!

Just what I'm looking. Thanks a lot!

No problem, glad to help.

You should only use one keyword per post. However, similar keywords will naturally occur just because that's how language works.

But do not try to squeeze more than one keyword into a post, or it will remove the focus of your post, and make it harder to rank!

Thanks, Nathan. I'm not trying to use more than one keyword in a post just to get all the traffic. But I found a few keywords that essentially the same. I wanted to make a post for each of them but then thinking that if I have several post that have no distinctive value, it might bore the visitor.
I think there's a chance to put like 2 or 3 of them naturally in a post. But I wonder if there's a chance to get rank and traffic for all of them. Or should I just use one keyword in a post and recycle the post later on with another keyword?

If they are very similar, then there's a chance that Google will see them as exactly the same. I wouldn't worry about having too much strategy on this.

However, take a look at this training (pt 1 and 2) See how I deal with similar keywords to create different topics, and I think it can help you use the keywords you found to think of more diverse ideas, and thus rank for even MORE stuff.

I got the answer in part 2. Thanks, Nathan. You're right. I shouldn't worry too much about this. It's better to get the work done and see how things go.

Keywords can also be phrases to,so long as you keep the flow of your content natural and makes sense, the way many do it is by having the keyword in the title and in the first paragraph of your content

Hi ZeeA, I think this situation is pretty common when you related keyword. What I usually do in this situation is to create sub-heading with these secondary keyword phrases. If some of the phrases have enough searches by themselves, I just create new posts but making sure I am creating duplicate contents. I hope that help.

Okay. Thanks for sharing

Hello,

That's a personal choice, I have already had to check one of these options to get some feedback from Google experts...

My personal opinion: every option you can leave unchecked, leave it unchecked, but when you need help and you have to check on of those option (you can do that at every moment) then I check the option so I can get help where needed...

Grtz,

Hello Bert,

What kind of feedback do you get? Does it improve any function in google analytics?

For Google analytics, they have learned to block my own traffic with and IP filter and also to create groups of people depending on age/interest/... and this is linked with my adwords account...

After all 25 very useful tips...

Grtz,
Bert

Recently, Kyle announced that Akismet, the plugin to fend spam comment is no longer free and told us to move to another plugin called WP-Spamshield. For me, it's a sign that WA

Some bots can read captchas, and captchas are annoying for humans anyway!

You can however, try it, and see if it works. No plugin is perfect, so everyone uses a different set up that works for them.

Then it seems like SI Captcha doesn't really do much. I guess I'll just deactivate the plugin. Thanks Nathan!

I personally don't use SI Captcha anymore, as it's annoying for my real visitors.
So SpamShield (and before Akismet) protects me efficiently from spam comments.

Only if I would suddenly get floods of spam comments, would I acitivate SI Captcha again.

Hi Moritz, thanks for sharing. I was wondering if there's something taht WP-Spamshield have that's not covered in SI Captcha. Yeah, typing capcha could be annoying for visitor sometimes.
