Hi, here is a description which explains it.
The Sitemaps protocol allows a webmaster to inform search engines about URLs on a website that are available for crawling. A Sitemap is an XML file that lists the URLs for a site. It allows webmasters to include additional information about each URL: when it was last updated, how often it changes, and how important it is in relation to other URLs in the site. This allows search engines to crawl the site more intelligently. Sitemaps are a URL inclusion protocol and complement robots.txt, a URL exclusion protocol.
Sitemaps are particularly beneficial on websites where:
• some areas of the website are not available through the browsable interface
• webmasters use rich Ajax, Silverlight, or Flash content that is not normally processed by search engines.
• The site is very large and there is a chance for the web crawlers to overlook some of the new or recently updated content
• When websites have a huge number of pages that are isolated or not well linked together, or
• When a website has few external links
Thank you first off for the response Robert. I have a blog site that's just starting out. Would you think it would be a good idea to set up sitemaps onto my website to help get my new posts ranked?
No probs and the answer to your question is a Big YES - add a sitemap and submit it in Webmasters.
You get stuck you drop me a PM ok.
Robert
Hey Robert, was able to get it all set up and running on my webmaster account. Thanks for the help!
Justin
Glad you got it sorted.
Do you have your Google Analytics set up as well?
Enjoy your Saturday.
Robert
Sure do, so far so good.
I appreciate all the time you took to give me a hand.
Thanks Robert.

Justin,
If you are in the states you can get a UPS store box which gives you a physical address. There are also virtual address options which are pricey.
A quick google search will yield plenty of options. The average cost for options near me were about $25 per month billed per annum.
Hope this helps,
MK
Hello Justin, I am going out on a limb here but I think organisations like mailchimp should have a privacy policy like Wealthy Affiliate (WA). Which means your personal information should be protected and published on the internet.
So my personal e-mail will not be displayed or are you saying that they should have a privacy policy like WA. From what I have seen is that it it required to fulfill an anti-spam law providing an alternative way for people to contact you other than e-mail. I'm stuck here because I would rather not give out my personal e-mail to everyone I send an email to.

Hey WA community, I have a question about drop-shipping. More specifically, I would like to learn more about what all is required legally to be able to properly run an online e
Drop shipping is a LOT more complicated than affiliate marketing. Only an accountant or lawyer in your local area is qualified to give you business advice.
Thanks for the comment Marion. I actually have a aunt in my local area who works as a lawyer. I will get into contact with her.
No one on this site should proffer legal advice. Hire an attorney in your local jurisdiction to get the proper advice on how to operate your business. It is irresponsible of anyone to give you advice over the Internet.
That's not what I am referring to. I haven't even started a e-commerce site. I am simply asking if there is more to be involved with it opposed to an affiliate site. Also I am wanting to hear from people who may have ran one before and how it went for them. Nothing irresponsible going on here.

Hey WA community, thanks for taking the time to give my question a look. As I have gone through the training here I have learned a ton about affiliate marketing. I really would
Well I am interested in having a drop-shipping eCommerce store, but also have interesting and engaging blog content that is relevant to the niche I am in.
I plan to sell some organic/natural supplies, super foods and possibly teas, crystals, etc. Everything that I sell however would be relevant to my blog content.
I currently do not. I am trying to figure out what would be the best for me. I've been going back and forth between more of a blog style site with affiliate promotions or more of a eCommerce drop-shipping site with some blogging. In need of some advice on the whole thing.
Appreciate any help.
I would recommend working on the option that is generating income. If income is not a concern, then flip a coin.
That's the thing, I am not sure which one would be better to go for. The other thing that is of concern for me is the legal stuff that may be involved if any with drop-shipping.
If you are signing up for a merchant account to be able to process credit cards you need to be aware of PCI-DSS. It's an easy way to get burned if you just go through the motions and check the boxes without actually doing the stuff.
Ahh, so drop-shipping is more involved than affiliate marketing. Well it is something I will consider in the future, but for now I think I am going to go with affiliate marketing with my blog. Thanks for the comment!
Justin
I was speaking about PCI-DSS. I have no clue about drop shipping. You mentioned e-commerce which to me is different than drop shipping.
Either way i would be accepting credit card payments on my website. I'm guessing that i would still need to have some kind of secure way to accept them.
You could always insert Amazon aStores for a whole lot of products.
You can have more than one aStore.
There are other big online companies you can do this with as well.
Robert
Thanks Robert, so do you think that having a eCommerce page within a Blog/review site would be a viable thing to do. If you don't mind sharing if you have done anything of this nature how it worked for you. You seem very knowledgeable within the topic.
Thanks again.
No I don't work with Amazon just now but a lot of members do.
If you want to know about aStores and how to put them on your site you should watch Marion Blacks video. Build an Amazon aStore I'm off home now to get eats so maybe catch you later tonight if you have any more questions.
Robert
Also, I would like to know your opinion on drop shipping vs affiliate sales if you are willing to share any information.
Its been ages since I was involved with Dropshipping.
However Judebanks made a very good comment on this page.
You should follow her advice and perhaps send her a PM for more info. Differences between Dropshipping and Affiliate Marketing? Robert
No probs and hope you read Jude's comment.
She does make a lot of sense.
Enjoy your Thursday.
Robert
I did read it, she is very knowledgeable on the topic. I have sense reached out to her.
Thanks again Robert.
Justin
A nice lady and she will help you out if she can.
I'm off home now so maybe catch you some other time.

google your niche topic and take ideas from what anyone else in your niche is doing - don't get too hung up on domain names, it's the content that's critical
To me, I think choosing a domain name that will brand you will go a long way to help you than that of a keyword.
Here in your case, I think domain should be branded. And content should be relevant to keywords. You can update your content every now and then for different keywords. So visitors will like to
visit your website to fresh contents. But every time your content must be proved very useful to read.
After all in order to have a quality customer you need to have quality information, thanks for the comment.
I really like branded domains, I think they give you a little bit more flexibility on what you can do with your site as opposed to a domain based around keywords.
Yes, I will be able to expand my content a lot easier for SEO under an established domain rather than a targeted keyword. Thanks for the comment Thomas.
You should match up your branded niche domain to choice traffic driving keywords and get the best of both worlds.
Very good idea MKearns, might as well get that extra initial traffic. Thanks for the comment.
Either method, keyword based vs. branded is viable. It comes down to personal preference and trial and error. Try to stay away from hyphenated names and stick to .com - .org is supposed to be for non-profit organizations and they've been cracking down on for-profit companies with .org of late. .net was originally intended to be used for computer networks, and people just don't think about it when searching for brands.
