Hi. I got a comment on my website asking permission to add my website to a Zynga group. I don't know anything about this, and I wonder if there could be any harm in alllowing
Ok to allow someone to add my website to a zynga group?

Yeah, that is spam. Definitely avoid this and going forward, you should be aware that you are going to get "automated" spam on your website.
These people actually are not manually posting to your website, they are doing so through automated scripts that surf the Internet posting and millions of Wordpress blogs.

Does anybody know how to prevent posts in a particular category from showing up on a blog roll? I already have learned how to make posts in a given category show up on a given
I am still wondering about this. I have a static home page, a reviews page and a blog roll. Whenever I write a review and put it under my reviews page, it shows up on my blog. Can i stop that from happening?
Just need a little clarity;
Are you referring to a blog roll of other websites that you enjoy reading, or is it that you don't want a particular sub category showing up on your own category list.
If it is the latter, then you may need to create a function and add it you your funtions.php file in your theme.
I'm with Jimmy on this. You only have the two choices. So set a static page for your home page and you won't have the problem. Good Luck!
You can create up to 50 pages in WordPress so you can convert your Posts to Pages (copy and paste) and link to them from another Page. Pages have the option to be excluded. Posts don't have that option. If you already have 50 Posts and Pages then congratulations on your diligence, you're way ahead of most people. ~Marion
You have 2 options of setting your home page:
1) Static page
2) latest post (blog roll)
There's no way to just take out certain posts out of your blog roll. It's either all or nothing.
Hope this helps!

I am still too new to this, but my first thought is, check your settings and see where posts show up.
If you are posting a page, or blog post. Include or exclude on_____ Page or Post.
Only a guess. Wish I could help more.
