I Finally Got Back to Training
I was doing the training and when they told me to create my website (meaning only give it a name and pick a template) I couldn't stop there. I thought I could honestly figure it out. So I spent days trying to re-arrange things and it never worked. But I kept going, knowing I could eventually "get it". Finally I had two people tell me to go back to the training. So that's what I did. And boy did I figure out how easy it was to change things on my site. This is something I cannot do alone. I just needed to figure that out. I need the help of the training and that's what I'm paying for. Now I'm excited to get through more training so I can finally get my website up and running. Sometimes I just think I can figure things out. I'm usually pretty good at figuring things out here at home. This is different. This is my career,, my income, my business, and there's no time to second guess something that has proven to work thousands of times over. Have a fabulous day.

I too, am a "fiddler" and like to try and figure it out! But I've found it a lot quicker to just learn it through the training. It takes me so long to get there, when I can just be "shown"!

I think it is a good idea to go to the beginning too. Besides, there is an abundance of stuff available here to learn from. I am just at the start but I have already gone back and it made a lot more sense the second time around. Keep enjoying the process.

Two concepts come to mind after reading your article.
"When all else fails... read the instructions" and
"Why is there never time to do things right, but always time to do things over?"
What that means to me is, I need to take the time to read ALL the words, follow all of the steps, do all of the tasks, and then go over it as many times as I need to before moving on.

Yes fiddling sometimes takes longer to sort out.
Been there, especially as I've built a site before using another desk top publishing type program . Great for the design but what I need to learn is setting it up to receive maximum traffic. Sometimes a little knowledge is more harm than good!
So Better get back to Bootcamp then ! :-)
