I am sort of curious how one can create so many blogs or post about your niche? Let me explain what I mean, If your suppose to try to post twice a week (I know it's not mandato

You are exactly correct. I have over 1000 posts on my site after 5 years. That's why I recommend to you to expand your topic to 'common foot problems" rather than just gout, which is what you started with. There are so many different foot problems, and potential remedies, that you would never run out of topics to write about.

Thanks for the response was just curious but where can I find your post just wan t to get an idea how to expand my post

This is a great way on how to find tons of topics to write about: This is another cool one to check out for content ideas

Hey Jesus,
I went to your profile to check out your website to see what your niche is about to see if I could offer you some ideas. but your website link doesn't work.

Thanks for the information, I went to my site(common-foot -problems.com) to check it out and it came up right away. The only thing when people type in to search the site, you have to put the dashes in or otherwise the site does not come up. I do not know if you did that or not but I think that's where the problem lies. But if you did put in the dashes then I got a problem.

Hey Jesus,
This is what your link looks like on your profile page.
http://common-toot-problems.siterubix.com/
this is what it reads instead of foot problems.

I cheat. I have 11 writers on staff. They have an opening assignment to write up anything that they see interesting in various areas. But they're not always writers. Some specialized and web design graphic art SEO and various other things. Each individual will have at least three talents.

Salaries are the largest part of our budget.

You're complicating it. Numbers on paper never work out anyway. :) Twice a week is merely a guideline. It's not written in stone.

Start with a niche that you already have an interest in. As you build your site, ideas to write posts about will come naturally. Proper keyword research will also reveal ideas for future posts. No one ever sits down and plans a year's worth of subjects to write about. At least not me. lol

So just relax and go with it.

Thank you very much for your quick response,as I mentioned in my question I do realize it's merely a guideline. But I was just wondering if I carried out to that extreme are the ideas there because the post I am suppose to write about are not coming to me. I am sort of stuck and upset at myself for not being able to come up with some ideas.

I would think so. Some niches can be diversified as well. Something to think about. My niche is weight loss at home. Very competitive, but you could go on and on about weight loss.

Thank you for the response, I gather fom you reply that if the niche is to narrow I might have difficulty coming up with ideas. Yes I have seen the weight niche and it seems that it lends itself to numerous articles that could be written.

It could mean that your niche is too narrow. However, it could also mean you aren't digging deep enough into your niche or casting a wide enough net when you research blog topics. If you followed kyle's instructions when picking keyword and niches to go with that keyword there should be plenty of content to post several times per week.

They all don't have to be stand alone blog posts either. So say topic is really big or in depth make it a series that goes over several days or weeks. You could find content that others have written and use that as part of your blog (not copying it) but replying to it or in some way incorporating it into yours.

Hope this helps,
Nichole

Thank you for the response really appreciate it, could you clarify a stand alone post. I gather from your response that maybe I have to put more thought into pulling some ideas but they are not coming to me naturally. That is why I am sort of upset at myself and wondering why is it like pulling teeth . Anyhow just trying to get ideas from the community.

This is a great question. I haven't considered this. I wish I could give you an answer. I am busy writing blog posts and have decided to write more but so far I haven't run out of ideas related to my niche.
The following from WA may help. Regards,
Marilyn

Thanks for the reply and I am glad you can continue to write about your blog post. Just wondering if the niche you blog about lends itself for you to come up with ideas naturally. You know when people write about weight loss it seems like you could go on forever. Finally can you come up with alot of interlinks.

What I mean when one is working on their site from the dashboard in WA,and continually visiting your site to see how you are progressing in terms of appearance and content does

Thanks for the reply, that's good to know and I will follow up with the link.

You can get Google to ignore this in your stats with this: But eventually you will have so much traffic that your clicks won't affect your stats. Plus, bounce rate doesn't affect rank in Google or SEO :)

Thank you for your reply, but it does bring a point in terms of building your site. What I mean by this, is all the activity that one does to make sure it looks right , one has to put it down in paper which maybe the obvious thing to do. Then when you feel that it looks right in paper then publish to your site but try to keep your corrections to a low amount to keep your bounce rate low. At least I think that's what one has to do if one is concerned with bounce rate. Any way another new thing learned and thank you again

You're welcome! It's still new...don't worry about it.

It does. Every click is tracked.

I thought if we exclude our IP in GA setting they won’t count it.

He can TRY to do his own but our visits will count.
By the way, I thought Google did away with this option.

I have no idea. Anything related to GA beyond the easy basic setting is just a pain in my head.

HAHA...lol!
No, seriously...LOLOLOLOL!!!

understood... you would have to do this a lot of times to personally have an effect...

Thank you for your response hopefully alot means more than 20 times because I was going back and forth. I was doing this alot until i just was curious to delve into bounce rate a little further and found out that it affected your site.

I have read the different sites that shows you how your site is ranking and frankly I might be doing something wrong. Which I know is the case but I have been trying by

Jay, You have a good start but you need more posts. Keep going you are doing great!

Thank you Gloriajk I guess from your response is that I am probably right and somehow I am ranking in the first page of google. Of course you could tell me otherwise and it's back to work.Thank you for your time and bye for now.

Jesus just keep adding quality content to your site . You need more posts before you will gain any ranking. You have a great start keep adding to it.
Tim

Thank you Dreamer 56 you helped me again.

Yes, you do have to go the incognito mode. But don't angst over this - keep building your site!

Thank you dancinscot as I have gone incognito but I was not sure if I was ranking that high. But it seems from some of the positive answers that I have gotten from others is that I am in the first page of google.

That's great!

Hi Jay I just googlede Common Foot Problems and I didn't find your site on the first three pages sorry. Not sure if this helps as doing a search like this may not be what you require?
All the best
Cheers Debbie

Thank you Debbie because I wanted someone to take a look at my site to see how I was ranking as I have been struggling for a while trying to find out. But I think you have pointed out the mistake and the problems is that I did not put in the dashes so it's suppose to be common-foot-problems.com. At least I think that is the problem unless you tell me something else. But I thank you for taking the time to look.(my understanding is one has to go incognito as I just found about that recently but if you know this well I did not need to write this).

I know this is a dumb question but I was wondering how this may lead to my question . Anyway I am somewhat perplexed because I thought if you rank high or you are in the first

I suspect you are not ranking high. It's a brand new site, with very little content. You may rank if you type your phrase in quotes, but that's not a true "rank" Keep moving forward with the training and adding more content. Your site is brand new, so it's OK not to rank right now. Rank will come with time!

I would be interested to know what keywords you are actually ranking for.. As JV mentioned always check your rankings in a clean, incognito browser otherwise you will get skewered results..

Now if you are actually ranking and not getting the traffic then your click through rate (CTR) is whats causing the problem..

Easy fix: Write more compelling meta descriptions. Forget about stuff KW's in there, trigger emotion in the reader. They need to read this article!

To keep them on the page longer think about placing a video on the page.. this will keep them there for longer.. This is what you call page dwell...

To make sure they view more than one page (bouncing), provide relevant links to other articles with compelling calls to action.. If a post is particularly long then you can split it up and ask them to click to keep reading..

Thank you BeauandNik as I tried to look for the keywords but I do not have enough traffic or maybe I am using the google search the wrong way because I am not provided with keywords or I have to a google search again. But in terms of pages being linked I know I have not done that because I thought that once somebody reads the page I thought they read the next page by going to next article.I think that is what you mean but you do raise another point and that is the video. Does it has to be a video done by me or one that I can link for youtube. Thank you again

it would be best to have your video.. this would close the "loop" so to say.. But if you dont have one, make sure its relevant and popular style video..

if you do use someone elses video I suggest you at least make yourself a channel, make a playlist, add other peoples relevant videos to it and then slowly add your own to that playlist.. This will help you "bleed" authority from others in your industry

Jesus it will take time to rank well in google. You need to try to add a quality post of 500 words or more every day or as often as you can.
Keep adding content and you will see your site gain traction.

Thank you Dream56 but what does rank well exactly in google means because when I go to my site I see that I am in the first page of google(not trying to toot my horn).Secondly in terms of quality post, how does one know if one has quality post? Thank you again I really appreciate your quick response

Jesus copy and paste this phrase into google and hit search

Hi there,

There's no dumb questions - asking is the way we learn.

Are you logged into Google when you're checking your ranking, if you are Google will always show your content higher.

Hope that helps
Best wishes
John

Yes I am logged in the Google and thank you John for your quick response.

When I clicked on your website link it only shows a picture and no content or comment section. When you click on the picture the comment section show up but still no content. And you only have two articles and the comments are not enabled on them either. This may be why people aren't staying.

Laura

Thank you Laura maybe there is an answer because I do not know what you mean by comments are not enabled. I have the about page, common foot problems and lets treat the problem. I know that when I go to my site I can read the articles and I do not know if you mean they can not be read. So if you can explain it to me or point in the direction I will look for that information. Thank you again

When you click on your url, the page it takes you to has no content. It only has a picture. Maybe it's a landing page. You only have two articles. With so little content people have no reason to stay long.

Laura

I assume you have checked your ranking incognito. If this is not so then the rest is not important.

Next, did you rank for keywords that imply some traffic? What did keyword tool tell you for monthly searches and daily traffic?

Just in case you need:

First I want to thank you for your reply and secondly I tried to lookup the keyword but apparently there is not enough traffic, I could not see any keywords and maybe that's what I might be doing wrong.
