As you build your website, you might start to run out of ideas! That doesn't mean you should give up though, especially if this is a niche that you like. There are thousands of topics to write about in every single niche out there. You just have to make the effort to go find them, and sometimes get a bit creative!

Here's how I look for post ideas, and I usually end up with way more ideas than I need. I find that a single brainstorm session rather than thinking of a post each day helps me to be more productive.

I know this is a good exercise for ideas...but here's my question. Do you weed these ideas down and only work with the ones which have the best competition? Then, doesn't it seem that with multiple articles revolving around the same basic keyword, that some of the same information is being repeated in each article? Then what about word counts? With some basic phrases, it's challenging coming up with 500+ words that (again) may have been covered in a previous post. Is this true or false?

Hmmmm. After 4 days nobody has a comment about this? Or am I just over thinking it?

Thinking of different topics for the same keyword makes it a different keyword.

Buy running shoes for winter and Buy running shoes for summer will turn up different results even though you are using the same keyword 'buy running shoes'. In my book, that means you are now using two separate keywords, 'Buy running shoes for winter' and 'Buy running shoes for summer'.

Hard to tell what Google's going to really rank you for, but by using the core keyword and building out as I've shown in the video, chances are you'll get ranked for the longtail keyword (and others) rather than the core keyword.

Link back internally to an article with your core keyword as the only keyword, and it should help you rank for that.

Thanks for the response! Okay...so when you put it THAT way I guess it makes sense. But I guess I've never considered using the same keyword more than once, even if it related to a different topic. I naturally assumed that if I used the same keyword, I'd end up regurgitating used content! That was my point.

Hi Nathaniell this is exactly what i need, i am learning about social media through another site and being taught one way to find content and then i come on to WA and get more training about other ways but never seem to settle on the best way, maybe different kinds of marketing, is there more than one way, i'm not sure.
