Would it be a good idea to create a Facebook fan page rather than a new FB account for my website?
Hi,
You need a profile account first. From there you can have a group page and a business page. A business page is better and gives you connection to Instagram also. There are limits but that is down to a massive barrage of people all at once it wont affect you yet though.

There are also limits on the number of "friends" on a profile page. A fan page can have much more !
Plus you have the option of boosting a post with a set budget. I post my reviews and then boost them for about 5 bucks so more people see it.
It helps generate likes.

Good point about the friend limit. I forgot about that. But then I've never had the problem of hitting the limit!

Thanks Robert, I realised I wasn't pasting the embedded code but rather the url address instead, expecting Wordpress to magically convert it into the form, for me.

You do not have to use FileZilla to add Google Analytics code to your pages. If you have WA hosting your domain you can add the GA using the "All In One SEO" plugin. I am assuming that you have your website being hosted in WA.
1). In the left panel, click on All In One SEO.
2). Click on "General Settings"
3). Scroll down to the "Google Settings" section.
4). Scroll down to the "Google Analytics ID" section.
5). Enter the Analytics code for the domain in the box.
6). Scroll down or up and click on the Blue "Update Options" button to save the changes.
7). You are done.
If I remember, I think that you must add some file into a folder. You may have to Google how this file is added using FileZilla. I have not used this method for years and I wish I could remember how to do it.
I highly recommend using the All in One SEO plugin for adding GA to your domains in the future.

Thanks George, I've just checked my plugins because I recognised the name and yes, one of the earlier lessons had me install it. I haven't configured it to be used with my Google Analytics so thank you for that valuable information. Oh and I am now following you. Thank you.

If this one does not work for you, see screen print to find out how to find another tutorial that may work for you... depending on the plugin you are using.

I am working on my first review blog post but I am having difficulties with the links not pointing to the correct amazon page. I've entered them all correctly and they all test

Thank you. Yes, I spent all day until the early hours yesterday building my product review page and then trying to get the links to work properly that I got so tired and had to go to bed eventually. Yes, I hope support will be able to figure it out.
Just before contacting support I had one last look at the browser address and noticed what I thought was an error.
I have my Amazon affiliate account set up so that people can order the product from their own country's local Amazon market. Although I live in the UK, I sell on America's Amazon market place and when I click on my product I am redirected to my local Amazon which is the UK's Amazon.
If exactly the same product is listed then it will be displayed otherwise it will find the closest match otherwise I will get a message saying it cannot find the product.
I noticed the difference in the address because my UK affilite's member code shows up in the address bar and is slightly different from my America's affiliate code.
Hi hennry, I have had the same issue trying to link to a Amazon page. If you link to specific products it works well. Maybe you can try and link to a specific product on Amazon. I have not figured out how to get to link a Amazon page and get it to work yet.
Thank for the help Mr T. One product shows ginger flavoured when it should be mint, but when I press the test link in WP. it appears correctly as mint. I'm sure that's not supposed to happen. I have so many affiliate links already in different blogs pointing to the same product and trying to use a technique from a lesson in course 3 to use a product review blog page and have my affiliate links on that page instead and then point the links throughout my website to that page's web address to stop Google from not ranking me or seeing my website as a bridge site; I think that's the term that was used; a site just used to sell products for another website and not providing out useful or helpful content.
I have not had that issue. Maybe need to contact Amazon support. Wish I had better answer for you. Wish you luck and hope you can get to the bottom of it

I was gonna ask if you were using your country's link or not. I know you can choose where you want your links to point. Thanks Peppino, yes very weird indeed. I have deleted the whole picture, deleted the links a few times also and pasted them back in. Refreshed with ctrl+f5 too. I've tried it on a different computer and also in a different browser and still getting the same result.
